[Music] n [Music] [Music] [Music] Hello everybody welcome back to the first official Vlog of 2025 I indeed almost just said 2024 again but this is like the first actual Vlog like taking you about my life you know I uploaded a video a few days ago where I shared my 2025 goals I kind of reflected on 2024 a little bit and now this is like we’re back in the swing of things with Vlog so I did in fact just scarf my face because I am running late for my nail appointment as usual it does in fact start in about 3 minutes so I need to get inside but um yeah I just kind of wanted to take you along with me and do a bit of a 20 25 reset I want to get my nails done I have a hair appointment this week I actually have two hair appointments this week we’ll talk about it you know just do a bit of like a glow up um for 2025 and like glow up can mean a lot of different things right I’m just using that term loosely I don’t it there’s not a ton of meaning behind it I just want to get my hair done and my nails done so that is what we’re going to do so we’re going to head into my nail appointment I did my nails this last time and I am humiliated for them to see because it’s really bad I’m keeping my ERS crossed for no bouts of vertigo this time um like crazy dizzy vertigo spells I think that was just like a freak thing um and I’m hoping that it doesn’t happen but if it does that’s okay because I know that it passes and it goes away and it’s all good but that was very strange if you watch my Vlog Missy I was just like sitting in the chair waiting for my appointment like I hadn’t even sat down in the actual like salon chair yet and I just got really dizzy and I had to leave and they were really sweet about it and stuff but yeah um I’m hoping that that doesn’t happen again we did a little white Chrome last time I’m feeling like a almost like a royal blue something like this I’m not sure we’ll make a game time decision but anyways just wanted to start off the Vlog say hello sorry if I have food in my teeth you know just girly things and let’s get started with you know this little baby glow up if you will for 2025 let’s do [Music] it all right it’s a couple hours later now actually that took a little bit longer than expected they were kind of busy but I’m done I’ve got my my blur Nails we’re feeling good we’re feeling fresh got fresh toes as well that’s always the best feeling now we’re going to head home probably get a little bit of work done I’m still technically like off work this week a little bit um I’m just doing a bunch of appointments and catching up on things and stuff um so I’ll check in with you periodically throughout the week but um yeah feels really good we’re we’re getting there we’re feeling a little back to normal we’re like slowly but surely crawling our way out of the holiday you know hibernation I guess you could say I got up this morning did my little workout as you saw and then I actually filmed the Vlog that you just saw prior to this so my little 2024 recap 2025 goals resolutions Etc we actually have um house cleaners there at the house at the moment and now I’m going to head back and probably do like some more computer work and stuff just like boring tax things and all of that but I will catch up with you in like a couple days because I am getting my hair done I feel that it is time like I don’t hate the sort of grown out like um sort of what do you call it like Balayage look I don’t like hate it but I just love a fresh blonde so we’re going to do that and then I think I mean I don’t think I know that I’m also getting extensions I’m finally doing it I’ve been thinking about doing it for well over a year now I had tape in in like 2023 2022 something like that and I didn’t really love those so I’m trying a different method and I’ve done a lot of research I’ve gone to a couple different consultations that I ended up not moving forward with but I think I’m going to I think I’m going to do it so that’ll also be in this Vlog just for something fun and different why not so anyway we’re feeling fresh we’re feeling good we’re starting off with the nails we’ve got a little workout in I’m trying to get back into my like consistent workout so yeah we will catch up shortly when it is time to do something with this old [Music] hair good morning everybody it’s a few days later and I cannot begin to tell you by the way to like follow up how good it felt to come home to a clean house like oh my God my life has been changed it’s so nice I’m so grateful that we were able to do that and um yeah now I feel like you know the reset is really in full swing like it’s really happening and I’m feeling good about it and just like that I’m hitting the reset button like I said before but it is now Thursday morning I think and so I’ve been on my kind of like reset routine for a couple days now feeling good I’m feeling like I I don’t know just like want to continue taking care of myself and like keep doing things for myself um you know once you get in the habit it’s like way easier to keep going but yeah it is like 8:30 and I’m just finishing getting ready now I actually purged my entire closet yesterday I ended up filming like a closet Purge start of the Year type of thing if you couldn’t tell I’m really trying to start this year as fresh as possible I think really what it is is that I like had a late start to the year because I was sick so I decided that my new year started this past Monday which was January 6th instead of on the 1st of January because I was literally like laid up in bed not able to function so I think I’m just like coming out the gate like really hot so I’m getting ready now because I’m going to my hair appointment so why am I doing my hair before that I have no idea I just it’s a thing I do but I haven’t gotten my hair done since the end of September I believe and it is now like the 9th of January so that’s kind of crazy and then I’m getting hair extensions tomorrow I think I talked about that and um I’m excited so that’s what we’re doing today but first i’m going to actually swing by my mom’s before we go to the hair stylist what have I done with my glasses now I’m going to go downstairs oh actually first I need to take all the stuff that I ended up purging from my closet yesterday which is actually just this blue bag this bag wasn’t needed I’m going to take this down to my car and then hello and then we will keep on getting ready before we head out the door to go see my mom all right just put my donations in the trunk of my car I’m going to put away this laundry I did order some new underwear is it weird to show my underwear on the internet I did order some new underwear because at the start of every year I don’t know I feel like starting fresh and uh I feel like a lot of you that are watching this also could probably use the reminder to order yourself some new underwear cuz I know I have in the past and I um do it at the beginning of every year now and it feels great I also got some new sweaters for Drew I did a partnership with Express and we loved them so much like some of the pieces that we got more cuz I had some extra credits so we’re going to put this away and then pack a snack and hit the road all right that’s done I thought I would show you my outfit of the day before we leave I’m feeling very like art teachery today and I love it so I have my funky glasses on from I by direct these are called the Ry frames I always have all my glasses linked down in the description in case you want to check it out I have my little gold hoops from Amazon that I always wear I have my brass vintage deadstock charm necklace from Etsy that I actually low-key like hated on when I first got it but now I love it so it’s like my favorite my cardigan is from old Navy my skirt is thrifted my red cowboy boots are thrifted and we’re ready to go also these flowers I mean they’re dying now but they’ve lasted so long and I came home from antique shopping on my birthday and there were two bouquets of flowers on my doorstep one of them was from Drew and one was from Karina which I thought was so sweet so these are almost dead but thank you so much again to Karina for sending these that was so unexpected and so thoughtful I mean my birthday was a week and a half ago and they’re I mean there they’re definitely on their way out but I guess I just wanted to show them I guess I haven’t really showed the house being deified yet so things are like back to normal it just feels so clean and fresh having everything where it should be we have friends that are taking that away shortly so you know things will be like completely back to normal but it feels really good okay anyways bye let’s [Music] go all all right just got to my mom’s I’m going to head inside enjoy some time with her I actually quickly stopped at my favorite little my favorite little Bugan via on the side of the road cuz I’m going to take a video of my outfit cuz I think it looks cute and I’ve actually you know I was driving through Phoenix to get here and there’s a lot of smoke in the air right now there was a fire up north in Arizona recently and then also the fires in La have been devastating on like a whole other level it’s like unprecedented damage it is truly the most heart shattering thing ever and I’m just sending a lot of love to everyone in LA and um yeah it’s just truly devastating and so scary and we literally I’m like in touch with some friends right now that like May potentially be evacuating like to come stay with us at our house here and it’s just absolutely insane so I didn’t want to like continue with this Vlog like la la la everything’s fine without kind of acknowledging that that it’s like really really heavy on my heart and I’m hoping that um the winds will die down and that things will be able to get a little bit more under control but man it is just like truly gut-wrenching and the First Responders and the firefighters who are working towards you know helping contain this fire are literally incredible and deserve all of the accolades all of the flowers um and all of the support so I’m going to link some stuff down below in case you want to check it out but yeah just wanted to mention that and I’m sad it’s just really sad don’t really know how to seg away from that but anyways okay we will check in later all right right is now a couple hours later it doesn’t seem like I left my car but I did in fact leave I had probably a 2hour hangout with my mom it was really nice we had some time to catch up and chat and we had a little snack and I just drove through got some coffee and now I’m headed to my appointment I’m going to be there in like 5 minutes so this is the final look at my hair it’s going to look honestly really similar when I’m done um it doesn’t look that much different it’s just going to be a little bit lighter up top but I’m super excited so I will see you guys with some fresh share in like 5 seconds for you but you know probably 4 hours for [Music] [Music] me and just like that we are a fresh Blondie again it probably doesn’t look that different but in person it’s so much brighter it looks so much healthier I am so happy with it and then we just have one more step before the longer Fuller hair tomorrow I’m so excited for that I actually had my appointment moved up like an hour so I was supposed to have a call with Alexa tomorrow I’m actually just going to call her right now on the way home we’re going to catch up we’re going to chat I’m going to head home we’re going to have some dinner and then we will catch up more tomorrow I’m feeling so fresh I’m so happy I is having two hair appointments in a row excessive yes but I’m just doing it for fun see you tomorrow [Music] all right it’s the final day of appointments typically I would try to do this all on one day but it’s just what was available this week so you know I was like fitting it in around work stuff so I this isn’t normal for me okay like going to what four different appointments in one week that’s insane but you know it is what it is so it’s the next morning I’m just getting ready to head out it’s like 8:30ish and my appointment is at 10:00 I just want to get there a little early and it’s kind of far away but here is a better look at the hair since last night it was getting a little dark you can tell that it’s just a lot blonder it’s nice and I don’t really know how long I’m going to go um I’ve only had extensions like one other time before and it was more for like volume and this is going to be like length and volume but we’re going to head out and go get my fake hair I’m very excited JK I’m trying to leave but my tires are deflated and my check tire pressure light had been on and I was like it’s probably fine sometimes that happens when it gets cold outside but I just had a feeling right before I left and I was like Drew will you check it my tires are supposed to be at 32 the first tire that he checked 25 so um it’s a good thing we looked reminder to check your tire pressure okay I’m on my way I’ve done it I’ve solved the tire dilemma sorry about the bad lighting it just kind of is what it is right now but I think I’m going to make a quick little pit stop for some coffee I’ve actually just been chatting with my dad on the phone and just talking about the fires I’m not trying to harp on it too much in this Vlog cuz I really want Vlogs to be like more of a distraction and I don’t know generally like a positive tone but I do just have so much heaviness in my heart and I mean just the damage over the last few days is like incomprehensible it’s so heavy and it’s so tragic and so many people have lost everything and I just can’t even imagine what that must be like you know you wake up one morning and then later in that day your house is gone like everything you own everything you have is gone so that being said there are some resources that I’m going to link down below like I said and then also there are some like communities in Phoenix that are making runs over to LA with supplies so blankets toiletries clothing um sanitary products you know everything like that so Drew and I are going to take the donations bag that I have in that trunk that I was going to donate to like a shelter or thrift store or whatever I will be donating to some different organizations here that are going to be running that over to LA and then also there is um somebody who is organizing like matching you with someone who needs clothing cuz obviously people have lost like everything all of their clothing Etc there are options there are funds to donate to there are things to share on social media um and I just love Los Angeles so much it’s such a beautiful city filled with so many resilient incredible people and I’m just sending them all of my love and support I’m so sorry the lighting is so terrible during this very like emotional clip but yeah I’ve just been thinking about the city all day and I love it so much and I called it home for you know a few years of my life and um it’s just such an incredible City there’s no other place like it in the world and I I love it so much and I I just feel so much heaviness and sadness for the people of La so I mean all we can do is just try to help just try to help and that’s one of the things that um I’ve been kind of holding on to is just seeing all of the people who are volunteering all of the people who are organizing all of the people who are like what can we do to help um it’s just so meaningful and it gives me a lot of Hope just for society in general because it’s been a rough go lately with the human race specifically Americans it’s just been hard and um you know one thing we will do is like come together and help people in times of need so anyways I just kind of wanted to like throw that little bit in this Vlog cuz it’s all I’m thinking about for the last couple of days and I’m just trying to keep it light and fun and silly but yeah I don’t want anyone to think that that’s not what I’m thinking about behind the scenes okay let’s go get some coffee and get this hair done I can’t [Music] wait all right just stopped in De press coffee got a Decap ice latte with oat milk my usual let’s give it a taste test absolutely delicious 10 out of 10 I’m easy to please oh my God dare I say it it’s cold outside now okay cold for me let’s see what the actual temperature is I mean it’s 48 that’s chilly that is chilly I mean it’s only you know it’s before 10:00 a.m. but dang that’s cold for here that’s you know it was 60° warmer like a few months ago so you know I’m not complaining okay I’m trying to figure out I’ve never been to this place before this hair salon that I’m going to actually only does extensions they don’t do anything else so my hair stylist recommended them I think I mentioned that um and they are like they keep all of the hair that they use in house so it’s just really convenient because you can go in for a consultation and then like still get your hair done the same day it’s just like one specific thing so I’ve never been there before I’m excited to check it out and it’s about a 4minute drive away and honestly like we’re making great time it’s about 12 minutes before my appointment it’s a 3 to 4 minute drive away so I’m still going to be early and I love that I’m in my early era in 2025 I guess usually I’m like ah like running late up until the last second so this feels kind of nice all right going to enjoy my coffee and get some hair sewn into my head can’t wait oh my God I know nobody cares right now but I am literally driving through like my old stomping grounds for the straight up clubs I used to go to when I was younger like in my youth like freaking 15 years ago and I feel so old oh my God I don’t know if you can see this but that is a bottle of like Patron and yo I’m pretty sure and like that is a perfect description for this area every time I drive to Scottdale in general um if you’re from Arizona you know like there’s just a lot of clubs and bars and as soon as I turned 21 I was out here all the time with my friends and like my little boyfriend at the time and it’s just so funny to think back I’m 37 now so this was so many years ago and just like the things that mattered to me then and the things that literally don’t matter to me at all now and like everything is different I mean some of the things are similar but this is wild I haven’t been out in this area since probably like 2016 so it’s just really funny anyways okay we’ll check in later just freaking hilarious okay are you guys ready oh my God I have mermaid hair I love it so much look at it I’m obsessed I feel like my old self like this I mean my hair was never this thick naturally but it’s stunning I’m obsessed like I can’t stop staring at it it’s so fun oh my God I love it so much okay we have one of our nieces today I’ve got to get home make some lunch you know we got to pick her up at school all that good stuff so yeah that’s pretty much it I’m feeling so fresh and also just not even like in a physical sense just in general like after getting the house cleaned after having a purge of my closet a purge of stuff in our house things like that um I’m just feeling really really good and of course like treating myself to these things and being able to do that it’s just really fun so yeah I think that’s going to do it for this Vlog I hope you guys enjoyed this and you know more regular Vlogs are going to resume after this but I just thought this was really fun I want to start doing like maybe my hobbies in the next Vlog so we’ll see about that but yeah thank you so much for being here and for watching and I will see My mom had a crazy bout of vertigo recently and it happens to be right after she had a viral infection. She went to the ER and they said it can happen when having a virus. I know you were recently sick, could be from that?
Carrie, you slay as always. Forever my fav YouTuber (you and Sierra). In your last video, you said you wanted to be more consistent with movement. Have you ever considered weight training? As a girlie with adhd, I get bored with JUST cardio or JUST weights so mix it in and do Alittle of both. It keeps me interested since each workout is different. Just a recommendation- proud of you 😊😊😊😊

My 2025 so far has been a “glow down” if you will. I just moved to Hawaii (for a few months) and I don’t want to add any more chemicals to this beautiful state. So, I’m letting my natural hair color grow out, curly girl method, no eye makeup, no nail polish. It’s been really refreshing! I’m 34, been doing my makeup for two decades- and now seeing myself “fresh faced” I feel like I’ve been missing out on my natural beauty. 😮 I feel very youthful (not that age matters). It’s giving 2001 me and I’m sooo here for it. 🤗🌺

Also World Central Kitchen (Jose Andres) has been in Altadena (my aunt’s home severely impacted) and they are just an amazing organization. WCK is all around LA feeding those who are either displaced from the fires or back in their homes and many homes have gas cut off per the Fire Depts for safety and they cannot cook (water is not safe to drink, use for cooking, or bathe in many impacted areas). I have a lot of family and friends scattered across LA and it is such a devastating time. I wanted to mention WCK in terms of donating, too.
Carrie, hope that your friends are okay in LA and I know that you and Drew have deep ties to the area as well. Appreciate you acknowledging the situation. I know it is not an easy subject.

Hey girl. I am 42 and have battled PCOS since I was 20. The vertigo and dizzy spells are due to hormone fluctuations. I use the OVIA App and it helps me monitor dizzy spells, anxiety attacks, and so forth. It may allow you to see patterns each month. You are great and amazing!

My goal this year, is to work on my mental health, after going through a million steps, its gvmt funded (Canada) I finally have my appointment with a psychiatrist with a possible diagnosis and help, that is long overdue. Also don't know if you know this many Canadian provinces have sent help to help battle the California Fires. The planes are nicknamed Water Bombers.
