Alright guys, so today I’m showing you how to faro shuffle a deck of cards. This is great if you want to make sure the deck is really mixed up since practically every card gets intertwined with another in this shuffle. Hope this video helps and as always, thanks for watching!

I guess today I’m going to be showing how to do with the Faro shuffle so I’ve seen a few comments asking me to do this now this move I would say it’s kind of more on the difficult side only because it does take some time to get used to and then get fluentd but I’ll be showing you guys how to do this and how to do a little one-handed bridges along with it so that is basically the move and I’ll be showing you guys I do that right now alright so the cool part about this is this gives you an opportunity to let’s say you know like show your spectators anybody that you’re with that you actually have some skill with some cards so basically it looks like that you are just pretty much intersecting every single card essentially so then the cards go together like this it’s a little more a little more precise than a riffle shuffle because pretty much every single card you get to interwined so it doesn’t have to be perfect every single time that you perform it a lot of times people you’ll see people doing perfect for your shuffles and that’s where they take exactly 26 cards and they do it and then every single card does get interwined but like I said it’s not really practical but you can do this pretty much anytime you want to I need to and this is what is how you’re going to do it so start this off basically you want to be able to get the grip right so it would look like this what I do is I take the deck and I kind of put it sideways so it kind of looks inside of the deck being more in this grip I kind of have it like this kind of like an elevated mechanic’s grip except for my hand is now flipped over in the decks kind of perpendicular to the table so what I do from here is I’m just holding the deck kind of like this with met thumb on top by three fingers here in the back and then my index up top here and then what I do is I move my pinky out of the way a bottom pinky here that moves out of the way and I use my right hand and then I use my my index finger and I put some pressure pushing down on the deck so I can riffle down and get about half of the deck so it doesn’t have to be perfect every single time like I said guys you’re going to want to use this for practicality not really you know always getting 26 cards but obviously that’s kind of that’s kind of like the endgame I guess but let’s say you have just about half a deck and what I do is I come away and I use my thumb and my ring finger as I’m pulling the deck a way to kind of square these up I’m just kind of squishing the deck here squaring up so this way the edges are lined up and now we have to get the top lined up here so when I pull the deck away all I have to do is kind of click the brakes a little bit and it’s kind of squares everything up and now it’s going to be even and now this is how the grip is in my my right hand so I have at the bottom of the deck I kind of have my thumb here at the bottom left and then these two fingers my ring in my my middle finger these are kind of holding on my pinkies kind of off to the side and now what you can do is let’s say this is kind of where you want your thumb to be so it’s not really all the way at the bottom but it’s kind of like three-quarters of the way down and then you have your pinky this is going to be holding onto the bottom for support you know what you do once the edges are all lined up this is how my left hand looks I have my thumb here at the top left kind of around the middle ish my index fingers up top and these two fingers on the side now what you’re doing is you’re going to be touching the corners of the card so the corner of this deck in the corner of this deck and what you can kind of do is what I do is I swoop in so it kind of goes angled downwards a little bit kind of like this and then I will tilt the deck up so I can kind of get like a shovel action but what you can also do when you first start out is you want to be able to touch the very bottom card here in the very bottom card here and the pressure has the pressure can be really light and you can see what I’m talking about all it to do is kind of touch these corners of the deck and already at the bottom you can kind of see the Faro action going on or just those cards are getting interlined in to do this slowly I’m going to have to kind of sway the right deck a little bit left and right but once you get fluid all you have to do is find the spot and then apply some more pressure so to do it slowly when you first start out all you have to do is lightly touch the bottom of the cards and as you can see they’re already starting to Farrow and I go left and right you can sway that left and right you apply more pressure towards decks you go more left and right and my grip is kind of the same it’s pretty much I’m not really loosening up my thumbs of kind of keeping it steady and just like that as you guys can see the card so now I’ve been pretty much very out here you can spread it out and just see that every single card is pretty much interwined and then you can square this up and then teach you guys how to do this fan as well or the bridge I mean so again we go back here you tear about half the deck out you square this up you use my thumb in my ring fingers here to square the sides up I get the top sorted out and then again you come over you just want to lightly touch these cards at first you’re going to be lightly touching them and you sway that back and forth with your right hand so that your right hand is kind of doing this action and pushing it at the same time and what you want to do is you’re going to be using your index here to be applying pressure towards the deck and then your pinky at the back and that’s going to be pushing the deck in as well so now you have both your hands gripping the decks you push the cards in a little bit and your grip with your thumbs should loosen up a little bit so this thumb this thumb pretty much they’re going to be a little bit more loose that way you can actually push the cards in together and at this moment you’re going to use your index finger this is going to come underneath the deck to support it and now you should be able to hold the cards like this so this way your thumb is putting a lot of pressure these two fingers the back of putting pressure this way you can hold this stack of cards and you’re going to come over with your thumb and your middle finger you’re going to make sure you have both ends of these so you have your thumb here your middle finger here and these are going to grab on but not really push in too hard at you what you’re going to do is you’re going to hold the tension here with your thumb and your middle finger over here you’re going to hold that tension in the moment you have the cards you want to feel a little bit of tension like I said like this and once you’re ready to bridge the cards that’s when you let go with your thumb and your middle so you have the cards here you have them up top and you guys can see the fingertips are still dangling over the cards a little bit at this point you let go with your thumb in your middle finger and it’s pretty much like a standard bridge you grip it and you slowly let the tension release and in the cards will bridge so hopefully this tutorial made sense for you guys if you guys need to do I need to see that again go ahead and rewind the video but essentially that is going to be that this is it for this tutorial this is how you guys can do this shuffle so hope you liked the video as always [Music] Hilary cartridges in SEO PAH [Music]

  1. 51 PERFECTLY RIPPED IN HALF CARDS

  2. I think part of this move is that everyone has to find their own way of doing this.
I don't think even the experts really know, because it's a knack that you literally have to teach yourself.
Personally, and I'm probably going to get shot down in flames for saying this. I found it much easier to do with plastic playing cards!! They are readily available, and can be of extremely high quality. And no ruined corners 😊

  3. Or your friend is to dumb to Mix up the cards and you want to flex

  4. Hate this so much. Spent mad time trying to learn it, only for it to almost work, but always missing one or two cards. Now I can’t even do a simple bridge shuffle anymore. Threw my cards out. Done with this useless waste of time.

  5. when you touch the cards when doing the shuffle, the cards just aren't spreading out or making space for the cards coming in

  6. The cards just won't spread – what causes that!?

  7. 6 yr old video but THANK YOUUUU (I almost ripped up my cards)

  8. i am having so much trouble whille i try to merge two halfs its crazy how it aint your fault

  9. 3 different tutorials, each copying techniques, and finally, tonight, something clicked, it’s good

  10. Got it the first try. Thanks!

  11. Tips that helped me learn:

    1. If you’re going to learn the way I did, you need to be shuffling from the top down, with your right hand above your left and the back of the cards facing right. This is with a standard Bicycle deck.

    2. Focus on holding the cards in your right hand with your index finger applying pressure at the top, and make sure to keep your other fingers as far to the back of the pack as possible (basically don’t leave your fingers hanging over the edges towards your left hand).

    3. With your left hand, keep your index curled down towards the bottom, and hold the pack with your thumb up about three fourths of the side, and your pinky under the back corner of the pack. Your thumb should not hang over the top of the pack of cards.

    4. Square the cards as best as you can, otherwise this step will be more difficult. Take the closest bottom corner of the pack in your right hand and line it up with the furthest back corner of the pack in your left hand. (Your right hand should be over the left and slight further away from your body)

    5. Apply pressure with your right hand, pushing diagonally into the corner of the bottom pack. You may need to rotate the pack in your right hand very slightly clockwise before applying pressure. Remember to keep a bit of pressure with your index fingers in their respective spots as well. This part may take a few tries, but after a little while, you should get the beginnings of a weave. Even just a few cards starting to weave together should set you up for the final step.

    6. With a few cards weaved together, slowly rotate your right hand so that the backs of the cards slowly begin to face more towards the ground. At the same time, rotate your right hand away from you, so that the bottom of the pack slowly begins to face more towards you. Your right pinky should move towards your left pinky. Don’t forget to keep pressure with both index fingers. The move should almost riffle the two packs against each other, causing them to weave. As the weave begins to speed up, you may have to fitness the cards to be more upright or press the packs together with a bit more force in order to maintain a clean shuffle. This step may be a bit different for you, so you may have to experiment on which movements and rotations of the right pack work the best for you.

I’m not sure if this will help anyone, I just know I was wishing for someone in the comments to give me a step by step, so when I figured it out for myself, I tried to write one for anyone else doing the same thing I was lol. Hopefully this helped someone learn

  18. How do you get that weave effect without swinging it slowly… Like how to make it ripple. I don't know how to apply pressure

  19. ive been trying this for a while now with different tutorials without success. Second try with yours. The lining up the corners without much pressure and the back and forth wiggle was really good advice. even 7 years later this is the best one ive seen

  20. Cards dont want to spread for me, and even if I miraculously get them to, the top has big chunks, not shuffling them at all. I feel like I'm missing something.
