one of the things i learnt in my book
is the power of legumes, pulses, beans. they're incredibly high in protein and fibre,
and they're really good for the planet because they fix all that nitrogen. they are so much
better than a lot of the other crops we use. so, i change my meals and i now eat many
more of these beans, pulses and lentils, i often just find myself adding them to foods
I've already made and these are easily accessible, very cheap, very good for the planet and
they make all your food taste even better.

  1. You can add beans to almost any meal other than dessert and most of the time your family won't even know they're there. I add them to stir fries, salads, and even use refried beans (that don't have a lot of fat, or any lard) as a delicious schmear on sandwiches. You can blend white beans in a food processor or blender to make a lovely smooth white sauce, without all the saturated fat and carbs that you'd get in a roux-based white sauce such as an alfredo. They're also super quick and convenient unless you insist on making them from dried

  2. What are some good breakfast bean recipes? I’m going to try eating beans for breakfast.

  3. Y'all better be making a video showing those recipes in full – they look absolutely great!

  4. Grateful to find your channel

  5. Are beans sourced in a can ok to consume?

  6. Please please more receipes with proper content x

  7. Tried chickpeas once. Blew the arse off me. Never again.

  8. Grassfed meat is more nutritious

  9. I adore beans, they are so easy to grow in our allotment, we dry them and use in soups and stews. 😊

  10. I am vegan since 20 yrs and I must say I always add mayoran and caraway powder and turmeric to all legumes….Reduces bloating and farts.

  11. Next to oxalate in vegetables, the lectins in beans pulses legumes are also on the radar of what looks like the carnivore lobby.
What is your take on that?

  12. I'm getting hungry just looking at that! Yummy! I love beans and legumes/pulses, all that sort of thing!

  13. I get way to bloated on these tho

  14. There is no global warming!!

  15. If I eat beans, I get very tired. If I don't eat beans, I have energy and motivation to do things. I love the taste of beans but I'm feeling so good without them that I may give them up forever.

  16. Don't forget a nice serving of kimchi

  17. I think because of the lectins, actually the opposite is true.

  18. While i dont believe the meat causes climate change fiasco, (paraphrasing). I will definitely be trying to add more beans to the diet.

  19. Oh wow, yum that's why we don't eat as much as we should of legumes and pulses because we don't know how

  20. Eat beans every day and the gut gets used to it. Eat them seldom and get bloating.

  21. I think beans in large amounts are unhealthy for a stomach.

  22. Where can I get these recipes? 🤤

  23. Favism. There are secret societies dedicated to not eating any beans.

  24. Yep an excellent food but maybe not for everyone …? I consumed heaps for years in my semi vegetarian phase but i found the "paperwork" intense and a couple of days ago my darling now grown-up son said you do turn into a human brown crayon…

  25. Not good for diabetes I believe

  26. Thanks to Zoe, I now eat legumes every day.

  27. I’m ok with white beans, but red and black upset my stomach. I think balance for some people is better

  28. Legumes are for some just too aggressive – my gut is fine if I eat them once in say 10 meals, in small amounts like 10 beans in a bowl with other food and very well cooked. Lecithin beware! I read that for people like me the gel like mucous of the stomach lining is thinned by eating legumes and causes the tight junctions of the stomach lining to part allowing lectins into the body cavity and up the vagus nerve to the brain, where in animals (dogs) this has been implicated in the development of Parkinson’s Disease.

  29. Some recipes for non-app subscribers?

  30. Looks delicious.. Now, how do we avoid the bloating?
