  2. Great video quick question when filling up my gravity system I closed off all the bleed valves on the radiators but took the drain hose off and closed it then started to fill back up now when I start bleeding the down stairs radiators I can hear air coming out and the radiators start bubbling inside but then the air stops and I have to keep going round all the ground floor opening and closing them. I done this for about 2 hours and still no water is coming out the bleed points on all ground floor??? Any suggestions please or do I just have to keep persevering with it

  3. Great Plumbing advice!!! Shame about the lousy singing!!!LoL!!!😂👍

  4. Loving the patter chatter 😂🤣😂👍👍👍 MAKING IT FUN & INSIGHTFULLY ENTERTAINING nice one ☝️

  5. I have a gravity fed system, but 1of my rads constantly gets air in it , can anyone throw any light on why this happens. Thanks phil

  6. Only gripe with plumbers is they never take there dirty shoes off whilst working indoors

  7. God your so much like me lmao

  8. Can you move to the USA midwest? No one knows how to do anything with hydronic systems here. Everyone I talk to with an older house with hydronic heat has disabled it and had central air installed.

  9. How and when do u put the inhibitor into the rads

  10. Love your videos such fun not too serious….though you was putting in the inhibitor in this video mind you ……ive seen some say drain system then put it in I dont wish to drain whole system ideally im about to replumb a rad I took off for decorating wouof you suggest simply putting it in that 1 ? As it surely wouod circulate right ? Thanks buddy

  11. 6 years later and this video is helping me figuring out DIY around the house.
    Quality videos . Thanks man.

  12. Hello. Your video clear and interesting. I tried to follow but failed. Do you have any idea why my heating system can not fill up. No water comes out from the ground floor heater where I tried to let it run out for 10 mins as shown in video? Thanks.

  13. How do you add the inhibitor

  14. Anybody can help me,I drained my central heating system to change a sticky 3port valve, come to top up the system everything is fine but my toilets ain't filling up at all no water in the cistern can someone give me some pointers, cheers guys.

  15. Brilliant! Top bloke! Thanks.

  16. Im trying to get the air out. But theres no noise.. no rush of air or rush of water. I just undo the bleed and ….nothing.

    What have i done wrong?

  17. Would this work if you can hear water running round your radiators?

  18. After draining down, replacing rads and filling I forgot the step of turning on the water with the drain open. I bled all the rads but when I turn taps on on full and then turn them off the pipes bang/rattle. How do I sort that? Do I need to drain system again?

  19. Don't bother with these stupid videos get a book.

  20. Sorry but water did not too up in to the radiators back. What could be the reason

  21. Class videos. maybe you have one already but if not, somebody should award you with a PhD/professorship (whatever) in plumbing.

I recently changed a radiator on my pressurized system. Pressure of 1 bar holding well, no leaks, all rads nice and hot… except when i go to heat the hot water!? Pressure falls away to nothing, gas boiler shuts off..no sign of leak anywhere!? Could it be an internal hot water tank issue?…tundish a little damp

  22. Superb video thank you. Used this a year or two ago then came back to it when putting bigger rads in. Really clear instruction. You should be a teacher.

  23. Thank you for what you do. For some of us just starting out it’s a huge help. 👍

  24. Thanks for the vids!

Helped us out so much in our first house.

    Cheers!!!

  25. Your happiness is infectious pal! Keep it up 🙂

  26. Don't even own a house where I need to know these things. Just subscribed to this channel purely for the iconic ADHD energy.

  27. So when does the Fernox go in? Stuff it in the header tank before turning the valve back on? I guess that makes the most sense rather than fill the system then put it in the header tank and hope it just mixes after? 🤔

  28. Shouldn't the inhibitor go in the tank before filling the system (drain hose closed off)?

  29. Add more water after bleeding air? Automatic fill system does the job?

  30. I don't suppose I'll still get replies to a 9 year old video but I'm finding these videos very useful and helpful.

I was wondering where to drain the radiators off when you have a flat and no garden to drain the pipes into. Do I just keep opening and closing the lowest drain point into a bucket?

I've seen other videos where they change valves etc without draining the system but the tank has been installed in a nice and inaccessible location so draining my only option

  31. I had no problems draining down and doing the work but once filled again I’ve been chasing airlocks for days now. I get the upstairs rads to come on then I get them all, they heat up nicely then cool down again. I’m now back to not a single rad heating up, HELP!!
