hey mama do you feel like a raging mass one to two weeks before your period pms is common but not normal let's unwrap why you're experiencing pms and what you can do about it headaches anxiety bloating insomnia screaming crying and rage are all common and if you think about it women are spending two weeks out of every month not feeling well does this sound familiar stay tuned for my six favorite herbal remedies to reduce pms now i'm tara gregorio certified women's herbal educator and mama of twins and i've helped hundreds of women reduce medications with natural remedies and now it's your turn to learn more head over to my blog post taragregorio.com hit the subscribe button and the bell to be notified of my new video each tuesday so what are the six natural remedies for pms before we dive into that there's two other things you need to there's three other things you need to know number one there are four types of pms four types isn't that crazy four types so we'll unpack that in another video but know that your herbal remedies may change based on your unique needs and where your pms lies into what group and i'll explore it we'll explore that later in another video number two there's something called pmdd again watch this video to see what pmdd is basically it's pms on steroids crying screaming raging depression it's all categorized under something a little bit more severe than your pms but don't worry we can take care of that we just have to get to the root of what's going on in your body and number three is your cycle regular because the herbs will change based on if your cycle is regular or not regular and based on your unique symptoms so let's try to unpack this as much as we can but know that there are unique herbs for your specific needs and that's what i do in a health consultation so tell us below what is your number one biggest symptom when it comes to pms what is the one that you hate the most let us know so what are my six favorite herbal remedies to reduce your pms number one cramp bark so keep in mind most medications if not all affect your gut health and may create something called dysbiosis this is why so many of us cannot handle gluten and dairy because our gut health has changed so much so that monthly dose of advil is affecting your gut health so the first thing you can do is take away the advil and replace it with what's called cramp bark cramp bark is a tincture that you would purchase you put a little bit in water and drink it and then that is your medicine for cramps it also works for after pains as well after birth pains as well so after a miscarriage after a birth anything to do with the uterus and abdominal area cramp bark is your go-to medicine number two the anxiety the weepiness the craziness we feel the heart palpitations mother war is your answer again mother war is very bitter so you would take it in a tincture format you would put the tincture in a little bit of water and drink it if you're not sure how to use herbs watch this video and i'll explain how you can use your herbs basically you would take motherboard after ovulation so when you feel that anxiety coming or it might be just a few days before your period so three days before your period and then when your period comes you'll notice that you feel much better so grab motherwort to help with that stress and anxiety and even insomnia due to heart palpitations also the mom that wakes up in the middle of the night startled mother war is good for you number three vaginal pain or constipation women say they have vaginal pain before their period it could be due to fibroids but it also could be due to constipation pushing down on your pelvic floor it's very common to have constipation after a pregnancy so you want to move your bowels with ground flax seeds number three is flax seeds grind up fresh flax seeds organic flax seeds sprinkle them in your oatmeal put them in your shakes and drink lots of water to get things moving particularly day 14 to day 28 so if you haven't already you want to start tracking your cycle day one is the day that you begin bleeding around day 14 you should have ovulation and then day around day 28 maybe 26 for you depending you would begin your bleeding and then it would start all over again so begin tracking your cycle write it down on a calendar or use an app like my flow from alisa bt i'll put the link below number four my favorite herb for stress anxiety postpartum and even pms is ashwagandha are you surprised if you are breastfeeding and you have your cycle watch this video to see how i've used breasts i i've used ashwagandha while breastfeeding to reduce anxiety and postpartum depression if you're no longer breastfeeding it's still a good choice for you ashwagandha helps us restore our sleep give us strength and stamina that we need to take care of kids all day long it will reduce the raging and crying mess and the anxiety we experience each and every month so if your anxiety is up here if you take ashwagandha all month long it will help restore your stress and reduce your anxiety and number five is vitex chase berry now you do want to start tracking your cycles so remember day one is when you start bleeding day 14 is about when you ovulate and day 28 is about when you get your period again that could change based on your needs if your cycle is too long or too short you may want to add vitex chase perry into your diet now it's very bitter and there's a particular way to take it you want to take it in the morning about five milliliters in water similar to thyroid medication you would take it before your coffee wait a few minutes and then move on with your day with green tea and oatmeal if you're constipated so vitex chaseberry is a hormone modulator it will help us adjust the cycle as needed it's one of the most popular herbs for menstrual irregularities it can regulate your cycle treat pms promote fertility in aid and menopausal symptoms take five milliliters first thing in the morning but it may take up to two months to see results it's contraindicated in women who have estrogen sensitive cancers so keep that in mind also it's very bitter some women don't like the taste of it so i do love to put it in a blend sometimes with elderberry syrup or honey something if you can't stand the taste of it something to sweeten it up so that you get it down every morning now there's a small percentage of women if you're taking this in the postpartum time that their depression does get worse so if you do have postpartum depression keep in mind we have to restore your adrenal health before adding in vitex or vitex may be in combination with other herbs like stinging nettles to restore your health to risk below let me know in the comment area plus tell us your number one symptom for pms that drives you crazy each month now that you know my favorite herbal remedies go ahead click the link below to grab your download to learn about these herbal remedies and to have them written out so you know exactly what you're purchasing thank you for watching and if you know another woman that has pms or pmdd please forward this to her so that she
