  1. This really hit home. I used to think burnout was just being tired, but it’s more about pushing too far for too long and ignoring your limits. What helped me was building micro routines and shifting focus, even just stepping outside for 10–20 mins. I also use this free browser extension called Meowdoro Tracker — it follows the Pomodoro method and helps me avoid getting stuck in overdrive. Sometimes I switch it up with Forest or Focus To-Do too.

  2. This is exactly how I have been for a year and a half.

  3. People please take care of yourself. Your job will not be there for you when you can’t get yourself out of bed 🛌. Plus you’re just a number and they can replace you within a split second.

  4. Just started Uni, 6 weeks in on an engineering degree and I was determined to be on top of everything, fresh start and everything. I wasn’t prepared and was absolutely swamped by it all. Now heading into the second half of my teaching block, I’m reviewing my whole study schedule to avoid the same mistakes

  5. Burnt out is when you dread something you want to do. Bad dread, where it hurts to even think about doing it.

  6. The only ppl that’s going to remember the burn outs, overnight working, and stress you be having is your family and friend you neglected

  7. Don’t burn yourself out over a job that can replace you in a split second. If you don’t work they will just give someone else your money. Take care of yourself cuz your job won’t

  8. Take care to yourself cuz your job won’t be there for you when you can’t get out of bed, or in the hospital or even in surgery

  9. im so tired of this it makes me feel worthless and weak

  11. I usually love this channel but there were no practical tips for avoiding burnout or how to overcome it?

  13. My husband pulls me away from work at 5pm, but it's not really helpful because then he wants me to figure out dinner and it feels like it's just more work

  14. Ok, this guy never experienced a burnout.

When tying your shoes becomes an overwhelming task; when you need to sit down and take a moment to pull yourself back together multiple times for the easiest task; when you breakdown the moment someone asks you ''what do you want''.

    That is a burnout.

These people have no experience with this topic

  15. No offence but Rupe looks so much like Ranveer Singh.. I like him really

  25. https://youtu.be/dHN_tlBEt2c this video was recommended to me right underneath this video with the exact same thumbnail 😂

  26. DONT do the sad puppy clickbaity matt d'av thumbnail, dont go down that road. he had the exact same thumbnail two weeks ago. you may continue to hate your book, many authors do sometimes, but not the sad puppy void content, it does not match your videos, because they have substantial content.

  27. Ali chickened out before getting burnt out, grt insight though 😁

  28. He did specify one way to get out of the burn out, is to have a partner, and to comparmentalize.
I don't think that is enough for the subject.
    😁

  29. To me being burnt out is still really wanting to do something but a big part of your mind saying, “No!” Feeling like “failed” but mentally too tired to do anything. I did do some research on it for a psychology report. It said, something like, the exceptions outweighs the rewards and that’s why people get burned out.” Something like that but up above is what burnout is to me.

  30. Awesome video , I found the Dr Rupy's experience truly useful and your discussion was great .

  31. Hey I also teach this (I teach therapists mindfulness skills and therapists are VERY prone to burnout) and I've found there are 2 core ideas that are game changing:

    1. is Equanimity, which is not fighting against our inner experience. It's this counter-intuitive truth that resisting discomfort just leads to more inner conflict and actually amplifies the discomfort. It just creates more reactivity. Accepting discomfort and actually opening to it, welcoming the experience fully, actually reduces reactivity and makes the experience easier / smoother. Equanimity is one of the core things that we train in meditation.

    2. is compassion, instead of putting up walls, or empathizing (adopting the feelings of others) actively cultivating compassion actually protects against "compassion fatigue" (empathetic burnout). The reason is you're cultivating your own energy and directing it outwards, instead of empathizing/adopting the distress of others (mirror neurons can be stressful). There are a ton of studies backing up this approach now.

  32. Great insights, although the hustle never stops!

  33. I thought i was too cool and thought i would never burn out 😛 2 years later i crashed bad 😂💯 Thanks for this video Ali 🔥
