How to improve sperm quality naturally in 90 days

The good news? It is definitely possible to improve sperm quality naturally. Unlike women, who are born with their eggs, men produce new sperm all the time. So even DNA damaged sperm is something that can be corrected!
Sperm production responds really well to lifestyle changes, improved nutrition and homeopathy and as quickly as 90 days. Why? Because spermatogenisis is about 90 days!

If you’ve just received the sperm test results and your world shattered because quality wasn’t good, the count wasn’t ok, or the sperm failed on both accounts and you desperately want to avoid IUI, ICSI or IVF procedures or have decided together you definitely don’t want to go that route because you know how hard these can be on a woman’s body, your mental health, relationship and finances.
Or.. if you’ve suffered from multiple pregnancy losses and you’ve realized that it’s time to focus your efforts on improving egg & sperm quality so you can finally carry to full term your babies.

… then you’re the one I made this video for in which I will give you the practical tools to improve sperm quality and count naturally, in as little as 90 days. You won’t want to miss any of them, because I will talk about the more well known supplements that boost sperm, but I’ll also talk about things you probably won’t hear anywhere else that make a HUGE difference for male fertility.

🎉 *Prep for Baby* is now open! Prep for Baby contains ALL the basic elements I think a couple should have covered to make their trying to conceive journey shorter and give the pregnancy and their baby the best start possible. *INCLUDING Heavy metals detoxing.*
_That means that YES, this program is ALSO for those that have been trying for a while, because if you haven’t covered the basics I have identified as essential to prepare for a pregnancy, it’s time to go back to the basics._ *Read more & sign up here:* https://ingefleur.kartra.com/page/prepforbaby

– You just received the
results of a sperm test and quality wasn't good,
the count wasn't okay. Or maybe sperm failed on both accounts and your world just shattered because you definitely
don't want to go the IUI or ICSI or IVF route because you know how hard
it is on a woman's body and on your emotional health and your relationship and finances. Or maybe you've had several
miscarriages in a row and now you are adamant to work on both egg and sperm quality. If this is you, keep watching
because in this video, I'm going to give you practical tools to improve sperm quality
and count naturally in as little as 90 days. You're not going to want
to miss any of the tools because while I'll talk about supplements that are more well known to
improve sperm quality and count, I'm also going to cover
some things you're probably not going to hear anywhere else but make a huge impact in male fertility. If this is the first
time you're seeing one of my videos, hello lovely.
(bright music) I am Ingefleur Spreij and I am a natural fertility specialist, helping couples worldwide
to fall pregnant naturally through the videos on this channel and my program, The Fertility Reclaim. So the good news when it comes
to sperm count and quality, it can be improved and it
can be done pretty quickly. Like I said in the intro,
in as little as 90 days. And that is because spermatogenesis, so from the beginning
that the sperm is formed until it's released, is thought to be about 90 days. That is the consensus. There is some variation
in research from 74 days until 120 when looking at the DNA clock, but the general consensus is 90 days. And I find that fascinating. When you think about eggs, when they start to be
matured until release that's about three cycles,
which is about three months, which is about 90 days. So if you both start working
on egg and sperm quality, in three months time from today, your chances will be mind-blowingly better than they have been so far. Before I go into the details of how you can improve sperm
quality and count naturally, I want to talk to you
about how you can know if sperm quality or count isn't good. Well, there's, first of
all, the obvious thing, you can get sperm tested. And traditionally they will
look at several things. They will look at the volume of the semen. They will look at the sperm count, so how many sperm are in there. They will look at how
fast can the sperm swim. The shape. So if there are any oddly shaped ones, like two tails or two heads, then that is considered abnormal. And then they calculate the
total motile sperm count. I've always thought that
something was kind of missing from this list because, although you can see from the shape and how well they swim
if the quality is good, it will be awesome if you
could test the DNA, right? And they do have something
that they do these days. It's called DNA fragmentation. So the more the DNA is fragmented,
the lower the quality is. And this is important information because it's been associated
with high miscarriage rates. And also if you are considering IVF, they do look at this often because the IVF outcomes
are significantly lower, is if DNA fragmentation is high. Because it is relatively new, there isn't a clear
cut-off decided on yet. But the consensus is, generally speaking, that if there's more than 30% of the sperm that is fragmented, then that is considered to be low quality. There are lots of other
really fancy and new tests. I'm not going to go into all of them because it's pretty technical and they're not available everywhere. But I do find this test quite interesting, even though it isn't applied much anymore. And that was testing how able the sperm is to penetrate an egg. And the moment I heard about this, I thought, hang on, this can't be right because that is not how
fertilization happens. When an egg and sperm meet, they communicate with each
other through chemicals and they dissolve the outer membranes so that they can merge. So it is a very medieval
concept to look at an egg and look at the sperm and see
it as boring into the egg. So I'm not sure how that
test would work exactly unless it looks at the chemicals and the ability of the sperm to dissolve the membrane of the egg, which is a two-way thing. It's not really available
anymore anyway in most places because it's so expensive. It needs highly specialized
people to perform it. I did want to talk about it because I felt like it
doesn't really match with how the merging
of egg and sperm work, so I just wanted to throw it out there. And with any of the test results, it's really good to remember
that even if outcome is good that does not mean that
your fertility is good. It's better than if
the outcomes were poor. But there are just a couple
of things that we can't see that we don't know how to measure yet. I mean, sperm cells are so tiny, right? And not only that, your fertility doesn't
depend on just one of you. It's about your collective fertility. So if you're able to
improve both egg quality and sperm quality and your overall health
and your hormone balance, then anything you're both doing will significantly improve
your collective fertility. And it's also good to know there are a couple of things
that you can look out for even without doing any tests on sperm, to have an idea on whether your quality or count might not be great. And the first one is that
if you have been trying for a while but you haven't
been able to conceive a baby, then that could be a clear sign that something might be
up with the sperm count and or quality. Not being able to conceive
a baby at all is one thing, but if there are repeat miscarriages then all of my alarm bells go off. That is very, very often a case of poor quality eggs or sperm, and usually it is sperm. And then the third sign
you can look out for is having a low libido. So a low sex drive, having difficulty getting
an erection or keeping one, or having trouble ejaculating because these are all signs
that testosterone could be low. And testosterone is incredibly important for you to be able to produce sperm in the first place. That fits in right with Amila's question, how low levels of
testosterone affect sperm? And it affects actually
both quality and count. First of all, it lowers count or it doesn't bring up count enough because if there isn't
enough testosterone, there is just not enough
production of the sperm, but it also affects quality because lower testosterone
levels are associated with higher DNA fragmentation, so it affects the
quality directly as well. It's good to know that supplementing with testosterone is not the answer. Because for good-quality and enough sperm, what is needed is the testosterone that is made in the testicles. So if you start supplementing with synthetic testosterone
in the whole body, your body is just going to
kind of get a bit laid back and reduce the testosterone
that it was producing in the first place,
including in the testicles. So it's not going to
benefit sperm production or count or quality in the long run. As said, test results don't say everything about sperm count and quality. Even if the test results are
good, if you are smoking, if you have a very poor lifestyle, if you are obese, then you will know that sperm count and quality is affected. Also THC, so if you smoke marijuana, will really affect the quality of sperm. It increases, again, DNA fragmentation. Poor sleep affects your hormone balance. Poor nutrition affects your
sperm count and quality and low water intake affects it. So it's incredibly important for good-quality sperm and enough to take care of your body, make sure that you're well nourished, and you don't poison yourself with chemicals or metals, et cetera. Heat to the scrotum is
not a good idea either. It's very easy to kill the sperm. So this is why often it is recommended to not go into saunas or hot tubs when you're trying to conceive. And it kind of brings me also to an anonymous viewer's question, and that is the impacts of
varicocele on sperm production. The varicocele is a vein in the scrotum that is basically
the walls are a bit soft, so it bulges. And because it bulges, you can imagine if you have
just like a straight vein, then you have a certain amount of blood that goes through, but if it bulges, there
is more blood there so it heats up the area more. So even just a tiny bit
of raising the temperature in the scrotum can really
affect the sperm production. Sometimes doctors will
recommend to have surgery done. That can have its own implications. Homeopathically, it is
possible to reduce varicocele, but it really depends on your case. So I can't give you a short
list of try this, this, this. But definitely go see a homeopath for tailored treatment to see if you can reduce the varicocele if you're struggling with that. Angelica asked if it's possible to improve morphology of sperm, and the answer is yes because morphology is
a sign of the quality and the production of the sperm. So the measures I will
recommend have an impact on the spermatogenesis, the
production of the sperm. Then you can also improve
the percentage of sperm that has normal morphology. Okay, so to improve
sperm quality and count, we're going to focus on three things. We're going to lower toxicity, we're going to improve hormone production, and we're going to raise nutrition. Sounds simple, right? Now, lowering toxicity is important because toxicity damages DNA, and the older we are, the more we are affected
by a buildup of toxicity. But also because it's harder for our bodies to rejuvenate
and to regenerate. So if you're looking
at sperm cells, cells, if you want to produce good quality cells you're going to want to reduce
the toxicity in the body so that the DNA of the
sperm cells remains intact. The good news is that because men aren't born with sperm like women are with their eggs, you don't have so much of an
issue with a reserve of sperm that deteriorates over the years. You have a constant new
batch that is being produced. So you can influence the
production of the sperm and the quality of the sperm
right from the beginning. It is good to keep in mind that it is not a good solution
to abstain from ejaculation if you want to get the best quality sperm to meet with an egg, because research has
shown that if you abstain, the sperm that is staying in your body and then being released, it deteriorates pretty
quickly the longer you wait. So even if your count is low, it is not the best solution
to abstain from sex for several days until
you're able to make love when the fertile window opens. It's better to make love more frequently and also in your luteal phase. And I did a video on that and I'll make sure to link that in. The quickest way to reduce
toxicity in your body is to stop with a couple of things, and I'm sure you've heard of this before, but you need to stop smoking because smoking severely
impacts sperm quality. The same applies to alcohol and, as I mentioned earlier, THC. So if you use cannabis, marijuana, this is highly recommended to quit that because it really impacts
DNA fragmentation. Now, if you have a history of smoking or you've been living
in the city for a while or you've had silver dental fillings in the past or currently, then there's a very good chance that metal toxicity has built
up in your body as well. And this has a huge impact
on the sperm quality. I've often found that
working with couples, even if I've been working
with a woman for a while and she seems to be doing really well but they're still not falling pregnant or they still have miscarriages, it's not until I then detox
the partner homeopathically to get rid of the metal toxicity that apparently sperm
quality and count improves and they're finally able
to conceive a healthy baby. The great thing is, if you're able to remove the
metal load from your body or at least lower it because I don't think you'll ever be able to get rid of it all, but lower it enough to have
a properly functioning body, not only will you improve sperm quality, you'll also improve your
body's immune function. You'll lower inflammation and inflammation has an effect
on sperm quality as well. Plus your hormonal glands will be able to function much better because metals do tend to kind of hide out in our hormonal glands. And then you're able to
produce more testosterone which, again, improves sperm
count and quality in turn. Because heavy metal toxicity
plays such a big role for so many of my patients and followers, I've included the homeopathic
detoxing of heavy metals in my program, The Fertility Reclaim. This is a self-paced program where, through modules and
videos and instructions, I teach you how to find
which detoxes you need and which order you need them and to interpret your reactions. Plus, there is a private community as well where you can reach
out for support from me if you get stuck on maybe
chart interpretation or on your detoxes. So I'll make sure to link that in as well so you can check that out. I just mentioned that
reducing heavy metals in your body lowers
inflammation in your body. And another thing to do that is through the use of vitamin C and vitamin C is also
a fantastic antioxidant which, again, protects the DNA and the quality of your sperm. And another one that does that are the omega fatty acid acids. This is a essential one for men. I find men and women, as I talk about in the egg quality video. If you're interested in that one as well, definitely go check that out
at the end of this video. The right balance
between omega-3, 6, and 9 allows the cell membranes
to be nice and flexible so that toxins are able to be exported and nutrients are imported properly. But if that cell membrane is rigid because of an imbalance
in omega-3, 6, and 9, you know you can take
any nutrients you like but it's not going to go into the cells. So for the protection of the DNA, the function of your cell, the nourishing of your sperm cells, it's really important to make sure that your
fatty acids are adequate. So improving hormone
production is number two. As I said, you want your
testosterone levels to be good. The use of past synthetic
hormones can leave an imprint in your body, which causes your
hormonal balance to be off. It doesn't function properly
anymore because of that. So even though the synthetic hormones have left your body already, the imprint is still left behind. But, again, you can reset this
with a homeopathic detoxing. It's not detoxing like the heavy metals which literally pulls
metals out of your tissues and helps your body get rid of them. It's really about a reset
of the hormonal balance. But for practicality's sake,
both are called detoxes. And because the effects
of testosterone are so easily recognized by men, they may find that they're
beard grows in thicker or their mustache and they often find that their
sex drive improves a lot. So that is kind of cool that it's very easily
spotted with these detoxes if it's having an effect on
your testosterone levels. Another really important detox that I do with my male
patients is a plastics detox because plastics mimic
estrogen in our body. And you may know this as a female hormone. And both men and women have it, both men and women have testosterone, but women are dominant in estrogen and men should be
dominant in testosterone. But if there are plastics in our body that are recognized as estrogen, that severely impairs the production of testosterone as well. So the homeopathic plastics
detox works wonders as well. And then number three is
increasing the nutrients because all our cells need
good-quality nutrients, and that includes the sperm cells. I talk in the improving egg quality video about the Nourishing
Traditions way of eating. I highly recommend this for
fertility for men and women. But in the meantime, you might want to supplement
with a couple of things, especially if your test results were poor. I've already mentioned omega fatty acids but I highly recommend
to get a test done first to see where you're at. Vitamin C is very helpful especially for the quality of sperm. There's quite a lot of
research around folate. So this is not just important for women but for men as well. Although there is some discussion
on the levels of folate that often have been
prescribed by doctors. So do make sure you research this properly before you start on any given dosage. Vitamin E is another
one that can be helpful. Now we have zinc, of course. I'm sure you've heard of this one before. I often supplement my male
patients with ubiquinol as well which, again, protects the
quality of sperm and of cells. Then there's selenium. And magnesium is very helpful as well, especially if you are
struggling with sleep or you're having a a
high-intensity type of lifestyle, you feel stressed out maybe
by work or other things, then magnesium can be extra helpful. Because the more stressed we are the more we use magnesium,
the more we need it. So it's very easy to get depleted in that. While, again, it's important
for spermatogenesis. If you want to make a quick win with improving sperm quality
and count then, again, I highly recommend that
you check out my program, the Fertility Reclaim.
(bright music) And in the meantime, see
you in the next video. Bye.
