if you want to invest in a sauna and you're not sure which one to get in today's session I'm going to help you with that and talk about the differences between a classic finish sauna which is one that I built and have and I've been using now for about three years versus an infrared sauna there are some differences in things that you might want to know about an infrared sauna the source of the heat is from infrared these are different wavelengths of light and energy that actually penetrate deeper into your body and so for some people especially people that maybe have mold issues poor recovery from exercise maybe sore muscles and Joints maybe have issues with autoimmunity and things like that there might actually be some added benefit of an infrared sauna over a classic finish sauna as much as I love the heat generated from a classic finish sauna but because of the fact of the source of the heat in an infrared sauna the the wavelengths depending upon the wavelengths and these are it's a carbon element that these companies often use that emit an infrared wavelength and that is generating the Heat and that heat is actually getting a little bit deeper into your body and it's a different form of heat different wavelength compared to something that you've seen me share videos with you about in my classic finisana with a Wood-Fired stove now I think it's an overall experience it's hard to sort of be superior to the classic finish sauna you can have multiple people in there you can put water and essential oils on the rocks and create all the Steam and it really is a high degree and a very intense hormetic stress for the heart for the detox Pathways for lymphatics it's a phenomenal experience but it takes a lot of space it's more money you're Building A Fire most people just want to turn something on and set it and forget it and go in for 15-20 minutes if that is your personality type in your schedule I would suggest investing in an infrared sauna and especially because knowing that the infrared wavelength is actually penetrating deeper so it's not that it's sub-optimal again the heat is not going to be nearly as high compared to a classic finish on it I can get mine up to 220 Fahrenheit whereas an infrared sauna it's going to be about 160 degrees Fahrenheit but you're still going to sweat your butt off and some people might find maybe if you have obesity if you have an occupational exposure to persistent organic pollutants and you want to get the heat deep inside the adipocytes there may be some functionality there we know that particularly visceral fat is characterized by necrotic or dead fat cells and perhaps getting the heat deep in there would increase because there is this hypoxia or dearth of oxygen in circulation so maybe the Deep penetrating heat again from the infrared carbon sources that that might impact you know those tissues that hasn't yet been hitherto studied but it's something that might be plausible so the point is just because you have an infrared sauna doesn't mean you're not getting the benefits from compared or contrast to say a classic finish on them there's still benefits there and we are big fans on high intensity health of high-tech Health that make a low EMF infrared sauna this is what we had before we built our backyard sauna for years we put hundreds of hours in that and the person that bought it from us has still used it it's been going on now about eight years this thing is still going strong and so they don't treat the wood they use a cedar a really low EMF they have some different lights in there that you can change the mood and so forth a two-person you can actually fit three people in there if you want and you heat up faster by the way the more people in the sauna the faster it heats up just remember when you get an infrared sauna for your home you want to make sure that the room has plenty of access to outside air open a door when you get out because you're going to release a lot of steam from your body after creating all that heat and that can create mold issues so make sure that you're properly ventilating your room but high-tech health is a great sauna I'll put links below to that but there are also Alternatives like sauna blankets and so these are even a smaller form factor and the source of the heat is infrared in nature so that it can penetrate deeply into the body so if you have detox issues mold issues autoimmunity things like that there's some value there so our friends learning cat over at higher dose do have us on a blanket that you can check out I'll put links below to that but there's so many tools and the important thing is that you should just start commit you should commit to doing this in 2023 you should commit to getting hot by some mode whether it's a sauna blanket whether it's an inference on a Sun at the gym or your backyard sauna you need to do this my friends the research is only burgeoning in this area and it's all favorable so don't write off an infrared Saun or think oh it's not it's not the real deal I'm going to wait until I can invest in a finish no invest now start now and you can always upgrade later and again high-tech health is a great company I'll put links to this article that will help you better understand how an infrared sauna works the title here is traditional or infrared saunas and photo by modulation what do they have in common and the commonality here with the infrared sauna might be improved mitochondrial function and might be optimizing the mitochondria in a similar manner that photo by modulation does so I thought this was quite interesting this article just came out in November of this year so definitely check it out what do you think what do you prefer some people can't tolerate this super high heat I've had some friends who are pretty resilient I bring them in my sauna and I have to like carry them out sometimes they are it's a lot of stress and so it depends on your your stress tolerance and your ability to take hormetic stress everyone's a little bit different with regards to their constitution so we'll love to know how you get hot on purpose and what your main source of sauna is let me know in the comments below and if you like this video please share it with a friend and thanks for hitting up that like button we'll catch one in future one down the road bye now

Hot Tub VS Sauna? We recorded that video recently, here it is again: https://youtu.be/aXFdDzOdxfM
It was born from Western biohack reasoning disconnected from living things, and does not respect the intelligence of the body. It is part of this modern logic: “Quickly optimize, measure, force visible results” …but without responding to the holistic wisdom of the human body (nor the soul that inhabits it). Back to essenitle, the close to natural approach is the Finnish steam sauna.
I'm not sure about a traditional sauna but my IF sauna makes my old dead skin peel off (with some rubbing with my hands) and keeps my skin looking young.
I want the rocks with the eucalyptus…Is there a way to get the aromas with infrared? Finnish is suppose to be the best.
What is the difference between a sauna blanket and a regular electric blanket?
A negative heat response is dilation of blood vessels causing a blood pressure drop for some people. I can be in a hot environment for max 5 minutes before I start feeling like I’m about to faint while standing up, 6 minutes and even sitting is miserable. Add steam and it gets so much worse, panting on the floor.
Clearlight has a terrific IR dome sauna. Portable and sweat nicely after 15 min.
Hi, you mentioned something about the wood in a certain infrared sauna wasn't treated – are they normally being treated with something bad? Thank you
I'll need to save for several months in order to afford an infrared sauna. Looking forward to it though.
Is any infrared lamp/light that you recommend? Does it worth to have one for the ones that can't have access to an infrared sauna?
I'm not a physicist but if water boils at 212 degrees F. how can you survive a 220 degree sauna?
Didn't know about the infar.sana and the wave lengths.i have TBI and lung problems. So I'll just go to a dry heat on.Thank you for this info.🎉❤
Urine driven saunas are most natural.
My heart specialist put me in an IF sauna 13 years ago, twice a week for 45 minutes at 140F. I also have chemical sensitivity and fibromyalgia. I felt soooo much better for about two days after each use. I used to tell my buds that it must be like that for a dialysis patient, because it cleaned my system so well. I sweat much more in an infrared than a typical sauna at 190F for twenty minutes. I prefer the infrared for my health as I just feel much better after each use and the intense heat of a typical sauna saps me. Either way, you are doing something positive for your health. Get a sauna, use it and thrive!
Nah… The Finnish sauna has MUCH more data for longevity benefits. Dr. Rhonda Patrick for more info. Dr. Peter Attia as well.
I have an infrared sauna which I use several times a week but this Christmas I’m biting the bullet for the Health Benefits of the traditional sauna. It seems like a conflict of interest here as well.
Do the infrared blanket saunas have the increased growth hormone effect?
Have you ever meditated in your sauna? I generally use my sauna time as meditation time. I feel like I get a deeper connection in the sauna. It seems to raise my vibration. If you’ve not tried it, give it a try.
Most people can’t build a Finnish sauna for dozens or more reasons. I would never use a Finnish sauna-way too much $$ and way too much trouble-to each their own. You hung-ho people enjoy your fire building and buckets of sweat but I’m just not that into it. I want to pop in and out of it when I want and it can be ready in 15-20 minutes. We bought a Sunlighten and love it. It is also beautiful and so well thought out and made. Pieces mostly slide together. It’s a single and slightly larger than a refrigerator. We are breaking it down to move it today to our new address and I was looking for a video to back up printed instructions and watched this short video out of curiosity. May all receive wonderful benefits from their saunas no matter what type they are!
I am in need of a sauna but I need one that 2 people can lay comfortably in while getting the benefits. I noticed that when on a cruise my best friend and I benefited from the sauna. Now it would be in my house but she comes over a lot and we both realized that sitting was not as great for us as laying out and reading. Based on your experience which sauna size is best for 2 people to lay in it?
I get hot exercising. Which is better as a heat inducer.. sauna or exercise?
Have you heard of science?
I’d rather not sit in a microwave 🤣
Can I just stay outside during the hot desert here in AZ
very helpful, now considering infrared, thank you
Infrared doesn’t produce the heat needed for cardiovascular health. Infrared needs the actual light to hit your skin from a close distance. Will there be improvements, sure but not the advertised improvement since the science isn’t being replicated.
I don’t sweat much with sauna blanket
Infrared sauna is deep wave where we don't normally have that in our world. I'm afraid that would affect us in a bad way. Normally we only experience shortwave infrared. I'd rather go with the traditional than infrared.
Does any Plug in 110V sauna even work? Hard to imagine comparable with a 6KW 220V. I sense buffoonery pushing fancy wood work that does nothing. Going Hot Rock.
Radiant health sauna vs high tech sauna?
Would the same principle apply doing hot yoga in an infrared heated room?
It reaches about 100°F.
And there’s very little visible light. All EMR is infrared.
Getting a “little deeper” into your body? How deep? Prove it.
Traditional sauna. Daily. 160-170 degrees for 15-20 minutes. The positive effects of the sauna are life changing. That is why there is a steadily growing body of evidence to support their use.
If you could only own one, which would it be?
I'm so glad to hear the respect here for infrared sauna. I'd like to try the finnish sauna one day, but for my lifestyle, the sauna I bought – cedar, low emf, etc – is perfect. I had stopped using it feeling it was a waste because I had run into so many posts and comments on how its not a REAL sauna. Same thing happened when Katy Bowman whom I love, said treadmill walking was junk food exercise. I kept trying to walk outside consistently but in the city as a 72 year old, I often felt uncomfortable. I'm back to using my treadmill and my sauna (along with weights) because it is my best chance to get a consistent workout. I'm 72 and these tools are helping me enjoy this stage of life. Thanks for the great video.
Which is healthier; Far Infrared or Heat Lamp Saunas (or more Traditional Finnish Steam Saunas) ?
traditional finnish sauna all day long, iv used both and when i come out of the finnish sauna, my skin is soo much better than the infared.
Fuck thus dude. He's sponsored by a near infrared
Infared is far superior for many reasons, you still sweat, you can add a small oil diffuser (like I do) to get the same effects of essential oils with traditional steam. Infared doesnt go as hot as finnish, but it doesnt need to, especially if you in a quality unit that does full spectrum.
Traditional sauna can also be powered by an electric heater! In fact, most of the saunas I've been to (and as an Eastern European, I've been to quite a few) turn on at a touch of a button, and don't require making a fire:)
Consider this: Benefits of Sauna Heat + 832 nm infrared light.
Please research Near Infrared light ( sweet spot 832 nm ) and the benefits totally separate from Heat.
I built a 1500 watt Infrared (832 nm) plus red light heat lamp sauna that can go from 125 degrees to over 175 degrees.
Understand the vast research about near infrared !!!!!!!
Grammar please! Which is "better."
Not sure if all your YouTube investment went to promote infrared sauna
I personally love the steam room much more than any sauna but i do enjoy the sauna when there's no steam room available. An infared sauna — if you make your own according to Dr. Wilson with red lights, has much more intense benefits for the body. I have a DIY steam room and a DIY infared sauna with lights that my brother-n-law built for me, and I can tell you that I have gotten MUCH more theraputic effects with it than I ever have with a traditional sauna. The lights are no joke, and can draw things out of you that have been embedded in your tissue for YEARS andI I've never heard of a traditional finish sauna being able to go that deep. With that being said I prefer the traditional sauna over the infrared because I like the ambient heat but like I said previously, I prefer the steam room over either. What worls for follks really boils down to their goals.
So when Huberman or others say 175+ they're talking about regular sauna? Infrared at 160 is good enough for cardiovascular health?
Does traditional sauna give off EMF?
I personally like traditional saunas over infrared infrared does not seem to get hot enough for me I like it around 170°
You can get an electric heated traditional sauna…
Are there any dangerous infrared saunas?
