  1. I am in tears I am so afraid of hormones therapy. I am suffering so bad I dont know what to do.

  2. ❤ this! Thanks so much for your work and your vulnerability. God bless you.

  3. Hi. Can you give us the citations for the studies that report that HRT is safe for long-term? Also, do you think that the body is malfunctioning when it goes into menopause, when the hormone levels change over time? If so, what can be done to fix this? What other factors are co-varying along with the hormones that could be affecting the body when it has menopause symptoms? I'm thinking weight, toxins in the environments, the effects of plastics, etc. The problem is that there is little research into menopause. We're truly in the Wild West here, and I'm just scared that we're ultimately going to find over time that for most, HRT isn't safe in the long-term, and that we're fast and loose with women's health. I hope I'm wrong, but I just can't get past nature.

  4. THANK YOU, Dr. Marbas, as a plant-based doctor, for talking about changes in menopause. I feel like the planted-based community silences women in menopause, suggesting that plant-based and lifestyle strategies can address lack of estrogen. Some of us have been healthy, eating healthy, normal weight, normal labs, and plant-based most of our lives, and still experience symptoms. If you haven't had this conversation on other plant-based channels, please do so! The broader plant-based community needs more education on women's health.

  5. After having my uterus and ovaries removed in 2014 at age 56, I was prescribed the HRT patch. Loved it! Then my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and that scared me and I discontinued wearing it. Wish this information had been available then. I miss my patch. Hot flashes and sleep disturbances even though I am WFPB and consume soy daily. However, still enjoying my life!

  6. I know that horrible feeling when a hot flash is coming on. Creepy, crawly, feeling of doom. I was switched from capsules, after 8 yrs, to cream after having a new doctor . Now my horrible hot flashes are back. I recently went back to my previous doctor who prescribed the capsules again which really worked for me.

  7. This is me. Mcdougall diet for 17yrs. When peri hit my flashes were horrendous even though i eat a clean diet. I also use estridiol patches and Prometrium. I sleep so sound it's beautiful. Only thing i don't like is the peanut oil in the Prometrium but we cant have it all. My flashes were gone in 3 days after suffering from 15 a day. My heart would rapidly beat so fast like a panic attack and then the heat would come. Just horrendous! I need the HRT for sure.

  8. In summary: what worked for you was HRT clearly. There’s no hope beyond that. Diet won’t help. I’ve been a believer in wfpb for many years and was raised that way, but it’s not serving me well as I age. It’s sad to admit

  9. I LOVE my HRT!!!! What a difference it makes. My journey was long and confusing but I listened to my body and chose well when doctors were encouraging synthetic options and lowering cholesterol drugs. I’m so happy for you and your continued health. I enjoy your channel, knowledge, substance, and your kind support♥️🥰

  10. I wish I knew you when I went through this but I was wondering, what would the protocol be for someone who has been in menopause for 20 years already? I do not have high flashes now, but I was just wondering would HRT be helpful at this stage besides libido and muscle pain. I have notice muscle pain after my workouts take so long to recover as well as my sleep is limited also. I only sleep 5 hrs at best a night.

  11. How would you treat someone who’s had breast cancer 22 yrs ago, have hashimotos for about the same time and menopausal
Lacking sleep is my big issue and some other minor symptoms

  12. You look so young and bubbly ! Thank you for sharing
