hi I'm dr. Josh axe doctor of natural medicine founder of dr. axe comm and co-founder of ancient nutrition in this video I'm going to share with you the top 5 essential oils to balance hormones naturally let's go ahead and dive in number one essential oil to balance hormones naturally is Clary sage now Clary sage is used to balance out estrogen now both men and women can have estrogen balance but women specifically tend to have imbalance estrogen levels so what I would recommend you do with Clary sage take about three to five drops rub it on your hands rub it on your temples rub it on your neck and you can see improvements in fact I've seen so many people that have said I've noticed after just a couple weeks of using Clary sage oil my hormones especially hot flashes if you have menopausal symptoms if you have symptoms of PMS Clary sage can absolutely help balance hormones related to any of those health challenges number two is thyme essential oil it's about time you use thyme okay just a little pun there so but thyme oil supports balance of progesterone levels now progesterone is important both in men and in women and thyme naturally really supports your cardiovascular system your respiratory system inflammation levels within the body so I recommend using thyme oil through diffusing it having it sit in your desk taking deep breaths in and out it can also be great for energy you can mix time with peppermint oil and it's a great natural energy boost for focus but it also helps progesterone levels or mixing time a couple of one-drop with progesterone oil in doing that as an internal supplement is fantastic for progesterone level so that's evening primrose oil or Borge oil with thyme oil for progesterone levels number three essential oil that's so powerful for hormones is sandalwood oil sandalwood supports healthy levels of testosterone in men and women now men specifically now sandalwood you this fun fact it's been it's been one of the top five essential oils used for the past 3,000 years as a natural cologne for men and perfume for women it's a very has a very gender-neutral scent sound of wool does it smells amazing but it supports testosterone levels so if you're a male and you have low libido low testosterone then sandalwood oil is fantastic what I would do then is take a little sandalwood you can rub it in your sort of in between your thighs also rub it in your neck area and on your head so neck temples a little bit between your thighs that's how you want to do in probably about three to five drops of sandalwood oil is fantastic for testosterone levels now the next essential oil is probably one of my favorites if not my favorite and that is holy basil essential oil also known as Tulsi oil the holy basil has been used for thousands of years and Ayurvedic medicine in India and in the Middle East to support your adrenal glands and thyroid so if you have an adrenal issue or a thyroid issue holy basil is known as the adaptogenic essential oil it works as an adapted gym to lower stress hormones lower cortisol support adrenals and support your thyroid so holy basil is amazing for so many things what I would do with holy basil oil is just diffuse it in the air constantly in the area in whether you're it's your kitchen or your workspace but just constantly diffuse it now you can mix it with a little coconut oil and sort of rub it on your thyroid as well that's the other area just sort of rub it right on your neck but again I think diffusing it is the best way to use it along with a little bit topically there on your neck the number five essential oil one of my favorites is lavender essential oil for your hormones did you know in clinical studies lavender oil has been shown to improve mood lower blood pressure help people overcome post-traumatic stress disorder and support the aging process but it is great for your hormones especially the hormone melatonin which is going to help you get a better night's sleep lavender oil is great diffusing it it's also great topically and in medical studies a 60 milligram dose which is the equivalent of about one to two drops of a set of lavender oil internally was shown to improve prosto matic stress disorder in ssam Nia in that medical study so again there's a lot of great ways to use lavender oil to balance your hormones hey I hope you've enjoyed this video on the top five essential oils to naturally balance hormones you

    Wow!! The clary sage alone, is fantastic, applying it to back of neck and forehead.
