Yogic Breathing Exercises for Stress & Anxiety Relief | Arhanta Yoga
Breathing exercises are incredible tools that can calm the body and provide relief from stress, anxiety and an overstimulated mind.
In this video, Master Trainer Ram Jain demonstrates 3 powerful yogic breathing techniques for anxiety and stress: Slow Exhalations, Alternate Nostril Breathing, and Bumblebee Breath (Bhramari).
Whenever you feel anxious or stressed, practice these pranayama breathing techniques to soothe the senses, focus the mind inward, and slip into a deep state of relaxation. You will feel the most benefit from these breathing exercises if you practice them before starting your day or at night.
How to prepare:
1. Find a steady and comfortable seated position, with your spine erect and your shoulders relaxed.
2. Close your eyes and become aware of the rhythm of your breath
3. Let your breath flow naturally for a minute or two, without changing its speed or depth.
4. Make sure to breathe through your nose at all times, unless instructed otherwise.
