hello and welcome to today's video if you're new
here my name is Meredith and this is a channel about living life with and Beyond a chronic
illness today we are going to be talking about minimalism and if you watched my life update video
a little while back you will know that minimalism is something that I've incorporated into my life
for the past few years and today I kind of want to talk about how minimalism has not only helped
me as a person but how it's helped me manage my pots minimalism or essentialism intentional ism
simple living whatever it is that you want to call it is the practice of letting go of excess
so that you can focus on what's important in life and of course what's important in life is gonna
be different for every person so minimalism is going to look different for different people and
whatever it is that is important to you in your life minimalism can help you be more conscious
and deliberate about it so now you know what minimalism is I want to share with you the five
benefits that I found from living more simply so when you have less stuff that means that
you're going to be doing less cleaning and that means that you're going to have more energy
which is great if you have chronic fatigue or chronic pain also having less clutter is super
helpful if you have brain fog because when you have less stuff it's easier to find things also
by owning less stuff you're going to have less to clean which is going to leave you with more
time and in addition to just the material goods in our lives minimalism helps us shed the excess
obligations relationships in our lives so we start saying no to as many things as possible so that
we can say yes to what's truly important to us so instead of being super busy all the time you're
now going to be just focused on a few different projects or relationships or whatever you deem
to be the yeses in your life and you're going to have more time to focus on things like health or
your relationships and your passions the less that you need in your life the less you're going
to be wasting another benefit to minimalism is that you're going to have more money and this
is because if you're consuming less you're going to be spending less and if you're spending less
you're going to have less debt and more financial security and potentially even financial freedom
and this kind of financial security is going to give you more time less stress and more money
to put towards your treatment and your health or even maybe a cause that you care about last
but definitely not least is that you're going to be less stressed because you have less things
to stress about and when I say things I'm talking about material things as well as mental clutter
you don't have as many distractions in your life when you adopt a minimalist lifestyle instead of
filling your days up with mindless distractions you are now only focusing on things that fill
you up and feel meaningful and personal to your life and when you live with less you start to
feel as though you have enough and you start to feel better about yourself because you start to
love yourself not for what you own but for who you are and when you have less stress you're
going to have less chronic illness symptoms thank you so much for watching today's video
if you enjoyed it and want to see more videos about minimalism and simple living you can let

A wonderful video. Thank you for sharing your tips and how it positively impacts your life. 🙂 continued good health to you 🙂
Without thinking about it I have indeed started saying no to some repetitive activities to focus on what I enjoy! Very good video 🙂
You're the best! I'm so glad you have a YT channel.
I really need to finish getting rid of all the stuff I can’t use anymore. I did every craft you can imagine. I can not do hardly any of them anymore. I just need to sell/donate it all.
Hope you guys enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed making it. I've been hoping to make more content about minimalism for a while now so don't hesitate to send any minimalism video requests my way.
Really working to get more minimalist with as much as I can. You bring up great points as well.
This makes a lot of sense. It's so weird bcuz just last night my mom was telling me that she sees that I have more"STUFF" than I need or use. And that I need to get rid of everything I don't need or use regularly. That things are going to go to waste anyhow bcuz I'm not using them bcuz half the time I'm in bed not feeling well so I'm not getting up, getting ready, and using all the beauty product's that I've accumulated. They are just here not being used when there are others who would LOVE to have this stuff. So I've decided to donate items and do a yard sale. Just get Back to the basics. All the reasons that you gave as to why it's a good idea is true. I was notified for this video & knew right away that it's confirmation for me to take my mother's advice. Thanks so much for sharing!God bless!
