8 things I WISH I knew about hormone imbalance (updated): https://youtu.be/vbO876E8Tzg?si=QF-hMJXWBjWPIU7A

Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor or healthcare professional. This is not medical advice. Just sharing what I’ve learned from my personal experience with hormonal imbalance and what I've learned from my functional doctor and nutritionist and other functional practitioners online. Everyone's body is different. Go see a trusted and qualified practitioner for your own specific body's needs.

1. Stress is one of the MAIN reasons an estimated 80% of women suffer from hormonal imbalance.

AND STRESS can look like different things. You have most likely stressed out your body and didn't even realize you were doing it. For example:

– skipping breakfast

– eating in a way that causes blood sugar dysregulation

– drinking coffee on an empty stomach

– depriving our body of bioavailable nutrient-dense foods and then becoming deficient in essential nutrients (like protein, minerals, healthy fats for healthy hormones!)

– not managing mental/emotional stress

– not sleeping well enough

I did ALL of these things for most of my adult life. It all has to do with cortisol and our HPA axis which is a whole other video I can make. But basically, excessive/unmanaged stress in any form can cause hormone imbalances.

2. Eating a big protein rich breakfast *transformed* my hormones.

Why? Because hormone balance requires BLOOD SUGAR BALANCE. The whole cortisol/HPA axis connection is so important to breakfast because when we feel satiated and our blood sugar is stable, we feel safe. When you feel safe, your brain doesn't have to signal your adrenal glands to release excess amounts of cortisol (fight or flight) which means more balanced hormones.

3. Generally speaking, strength training is a form of exercise that is most conducive to female hormones.

Muscle is the most insulin sensitive tissue in the body and since so many hormonal imbalances have an underlying blood sugar regulation issue, building muscle is so helpful!

4. Sadly, we've only been taught about the menstrual phase of our cycle, but we have THREE other phases in our cycle called the follicular, ovulatory and luteal phases. You can ✨optimize✨ your hormones and CHANGE your life by syncing your diet, exercise and lifestyle for each phase of your cycle.

I would have saved so much money and so much time if I had just known these four things about hormonal imbalance disclaimer I am not a doctor I am not a health care practitioner I am only sharing my own personal experience and things that I've learned from my functional doctor and nutritionist and other hormonal experts and health practitioners online number one stress is one of the main reasons why 80 percent of women suffer from hormonal imbalances and stress can look like different things you have most likely stressed your body out and didn't even realize it for example skipping breakfast eating in a way that causes blood sugar dysregulation drinking coffee on an empty stomach depriving our body of bioavailable nutrient dense foods which then cause us to have nutrient deficiencies not managing mental emotional stress not sleeping well enough I did all

  2. Frequent eating is a hormone wrecker for sure

  3. my stupid a$$ started training high intensity and it turns out that steady execise is the only way, don;t to hiit like me becuase i got my period too early because of high cortisol/.. also swollen like i'm stung by a bee

  4. Can it mean ur getting ur period soon?

  5. How can we heal and get our prolactin back in balance

  6. I’ve always drink coffee on an empty stomach. I’ve always ate breakfast three or four hours after I got up. I never had issues until I hit menopause and that’s what I’m looking for and you cannot find the answers but thank you for your advice.

  7. Skipping breakfast doesn’t stress you like she is speaking of nor does coffee on a empty stomach. Coffee loaded with sugar will though.

  8. I just got my first hormones i am 10…

  9. IF (intermittent fasting) has been life changing for me and balance blood sugar… it helped my pcos tremendously

  10. Im on the same journey and have done ALL of the above.

For those mentioning skipping breakfast & intermittent fasting- it depends on the hormone that is imbalanced.

If your are estrogen dominant that means progesterone is low and can cause short periods or extremely long
(if you don’t have fibroids, pcos etc) fasting when this hormone is low will not help you, not a full fast.

Especially when you are recovering I learned a lot from a doctor here on YouTube, I forgot her name yall but I’m subscribed , who tells when when and how long to fast depending on where we are in our cycle

Update: Her name is Dr Mindy Pelz

  11. I found your page by searching endocrinology…

So happy I found your channel!!!❤❤❤

  12. 😩✅✅✅oh gosh YAHWEH.

  13. Gyne Kalp by Planet Ayurveda is effective, gentle, and supports both menstruation and hormonal health naturally.

  14. Skipping breakfast is terrible for me. I can't make it to lunch without getting shaky and can't think clearly and angry. A high protein breakfast is best.

  15. Clear, empowering, and well-explained! For anyone struggling with PCOS or hormonal imbalance, Planet Ayurveda’s Gyne Kalp Tablets offer great natural support.

  16. I feel so called out. I’m a walking talking stressed out mess

  17. How do i bring this stuff to her attention without her being insulted and thinking i “blame everything on her cycle” the person i get, depending what time of the month it is. Is sooo night and day its becoming unbearable

  18. 💯👍🏿👍🏿🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

  19. People waking up & being inform about our bodies & health is bad for the greedy medical industry but great for humans.

  20. I use to skip breakfast and use to do IF, I’m not really a breakfast person anyways but now when I do eat breakfast it’s something nutritious and hydrating like a plate of fruit or Greek yogurt with fruit or eggs potatoes avocado bowl. 😊😊 I have PCOS BTW too. So balancing my hormones is important.

  21. honestly skipping breakfast changed the game for me. once i started intermittent fasting, my energy got way more stable, mood improved, and i even sleep better. not everyone needs 3 meals a day. besides, my results didn’t match my effort until i ran labs with vital test hub. it finally helped align things. wishing others a good day

  22. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It's also better to eat protein for breakfast. Protein is good for your memory, learning new activities, building muscles and energy levels. I'm usually not hungry first thing in the morning but I'm working hard to create some kind of routine since I am beginning the 2nd puberty journey, unfortunately.

  23. Okay please send me what to do I'm eating sourdough bread and DRINKING lots of water meat and no sugar and eating eggs and having a heavy cycle I don't know what to do

  24. I think your video was cut off. I must have missed something

  25. Im a male in his early 30’s. I did all of these things to myself and have recently figured all of this out 6 months ago. No wonder my testosterone was through the floor.

I’m fixing it now with carnivore and prolonged fasting. It might take another year or two before my guts are fully healed.

  26. ive been doing these mentioned things without even realizing its imbalancing my hormone, no wonder why i got extremely worse acne within a week

  27. I care so much about my body like say no to dairy and sugar and eat healthy but i don't know why acne pop up and

  28. I’m sorry but are you an actual Doctor with a Medicine degree ?

  29. Now l need a step by step play how to fix …. what about menopause???

  30. It’s simply lifestyle! Amen ❤

  31. Skipping breakfast is not necessarily a bad thing. People who do intermittent fasting have amazing results, which actually helps to balance your blood sugar levels, and your hormones. Putting you into a state of autophagy 🥰

  32. I took on so many unintentional bad habits. Now I’m in the rebuilding phase. SMH. It’s like you have to constantly relearn your body.

  33. Entitlement of being a doctor doesn't guarantee 100℅

  34. For someone battling with hormonal imbalance, PCOS and trying to conceive. Can fhe person take these 4 supplements at the same time?

    – Chaste tree capsule
    – Omega 3 fish oil
    – Evening primrose oil
    – pregnacare conception

  35. I was drinking coffee and energy drinks on any empty stomach for so long! As I’m entering my 30’s I’m trying to change that! It’s crazy how different I feel without caffeine; less energized but more stable..
