  2. I’ve found that if I do strictly intermittent fasting eating only between 12 pm-8pm for a couple of weeks, I lose 3-4 pounds & sleep well. If I do it for 4 weeks, I am noticeably thinner. Once I did it for several months & went from a size 12 to size 8. I find it difficult to do for much longer than that but try to do it at least 3 days a week to stay at a healthy weight. I really don’t eat beef, pork or processed foods, so that helps me eat well during non-fasting periods.

  3. How long does it take to notice weight loss? I’m 59, post menopausal. It’s been 4,5 days of fasting anywhere from 13-19 hours, and OMAD. Eating a small, protein rich diet. No weight loss yet? Is that normal? Also drink water, plain teas throughout the day.

  7. Great video, I usually go onto a 16 hour fast for 2 weeks and I find myself feeling better healthier and loss of weight.

  8. I’m 56 yrs old and considering intermittent fasting for weight loss. I workout regularly, but struggling to lose that last few pounds. You mentioned creatine and collagen breaks your fast. My question is, if I start my fast from 8p-8a, can I start my morning breakfast at 8a with creatine still before for my workouts. Also could I drink my liquid collagen during this window time frame.? I have followed your great advice for quite sometime and have been such a help to me. Can you please recommend a great pre probiotic as well for us. TY and God Bless you always.❤

In other words, should I take a break from my intermittent fasting after so many days/weeks, or is it fine to continue it as long as I choose? Thank you. David C – Phoenix

  10. I was doing intermittent fasting for about four months. I lost five pounds and my husband lost ten. We went on a cruise, followed by Christmas and gained all the weight back. We are struggling to lose weight again but it is not happening. Personally, I’m very discouraged.

  11. This is so good! And yes LMNT 💯👏 It is so refreshing my favorite is the watermelon! The citrus my kids love like a “lemonade.” Also side note if ordered from amazon this is often FSA covered since Electrolytes can prevent a number of issues and are so essential/often lacking!

  14. been doing IF for years now…even before it became a "thing" actually…lol…I do a more extreme version and routine that I've formulated myself..(besides a one meal a day routine, I do a 48 hour every week) …the one issue that's always been confusing is what is the first thing to eat when coming off the fast period…Thomas Delauer suggests eating carbs like rice crackers..and not mixing fats with carbs, but it's still somewhat unclear…do you have any insight into this?

I think LMNT would probably not be to good for those who are more sedentary, or don't expend to much of their body salt i.e. excess sweating…correct me if I'm wrong🧐…I'm contemplating the Intermittent fasting idea since my doctor's recommend weight loss. So your information is helping me to decide to do so.

  18. Starting week 3 down 10 lbs!! I follow the Galveston diet. Love that dr. Hardest part has been waiting to have coffee until noon lol. I’ve eliminated 95% processed and sugar, explicitly added sugars. I feel so good. I thought this was gonna be so hard. Now gonna jump into strength training. Start PT this week so will get some tools there plus what I usually do. This is very help for us ladies in perimenopause and menopause. I just found your channel and have a list of recipes I’m going to try. ❤❤

  20. I’m new to this – so after say 12 hour window how do you break the fast ? Tea coffee first then few hours later breakfast meal etc , do you eat 3 meals a day and a snack ?

  21. You didn’t cover much 😭😭
    What about-what if you fast same times everyday and one day you didn’t have time to get enough food and eat later than normal can you still fast the same hrs from there?? For example I eat my last meal at 6 and eat bf at 10, if i eat my last meal at 8 one day and bf at 12 will it still work?? Also is it necessary to fast everyday for weight loss??
