When we think about self care, we usually think about adults, but self care for kids is all about building routines that teach them how to prioritize their physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing early in their lives. In fact, kids who engage in self-care activities learn how to manage and recognize their emotions better. They have a better mood, more resilience, and even have more focus in school. So here are a few self-care routines you can start to incorporate for your children for their physical health, have them do active play time. That means aiming for at least an hour of active play like bike riding or dancing every day to keep their bodies strong and healthy for their emotional health, encourage journaling as a way to increase self awareness by. Providing your child with a notebook in which they can express themselves via words or pictures and for their mental health set aside some time for reading books with your child. Not only does this improve literacy skills but also helps your child to relax by incorporating these small self-care tips for your children, you can make a huge impact on their health.
