Pick *one* muscle building workout plan and stick to it. Constantly “program hopping” from one bodybuilding routine to the next is one of the most counterproductive things you can do. It’s one of the big reasons why so many people end up spinning their wheels in the gym and never making any significant muscle gains. When you’re always mixing up your training variables (weekly workout split, exercises, volume, rep ranges etc.) it becomes much more difficult (if not impossible) to properly track progressive overload. And progressive overload is the ultimate foundational principle that governs muscle growth. In other words, making small, steady improvements in your training performance over time. Your workouts themselves also become less effective because you never end up becoming highly skilled at any one set of lifts since you’re constantly changing them. So, forget about “muscle confusion” (it’s not a real thing) and drop this constant search for the one magical routine that will finally skyrocket your muscle gains over night. Get yourself onto one solid program with pre-set variables in place, fully commit to it for a dedicated cycle of training, and focus on maximizing your progress on that specific routine before moving on to something else.

stop changing your workouts why when you're constantly mixing around your training variables in the form of different exercises exercise order rep ranges weekly splits it's going to be way harder to track progressive overload which is the main underlying principle that drives muscle growth over time if you want to stop spinning your wheels and start making real gains then get a concrete routine in place with the same lips in the same order fine-tune your technique on those specific movements to maximize their effectiveness and stick to it for a consistent period remember this as long as you're making continued progress on paper there's no explicit need to change anything the fact that your lips are consistently going up means that what you're doing is working subscribe for more no bs fitness tips

When is a good time change then? For how long can you keep going with exactly the same plan?
Generally change workout once per month if working out consistently.
LoL it's literally me rn 😅
Although what’s said in this video makes sens, I heard and saw in other videos that repeating the same workouts with the same movements again and again and again could be bad for your joints because of the repetitive movements. How true is this information ? I dont’ know. What do you think coach
Thank you so much for this ! I injured both forearms back in December 2023 & slept as of if I was in a coffin— fast forward— we are at the end of May 2024– I couldn’t even do a 16oz water ball lift (lateral raises)— coz of my injuries— I started deadlifting with 10 lb weights each hand , starting off slow. NOW— I can do barbell (45lbs) plus 50 added lbs, total 95lbs. My weight has stayed the same BUT I lost 3 inches in my waist. I was thinking of changing the routine… buying another persons workout plan, spending more money—- I’ll just continue and tweak it a little with progressive overload… ❤ I started back up again 4/23/24– 5 weeks later— I’m stronger!
My equipment got broken, so now what? I have to order a new belt
but when I try to change to higher weight, it's too heavy and doesn't make me sore. But the same weight keeps making me sore over months yet I plateau with it, so idk what I'm doing wrong.
And I work out consistently and eat very high protein amount every day
Man I sure hope so. I do squats and leg extensions for my quads and they barely show any growth despite being progressively able to lift more weight with more reps with time.
I would say this is not true I know a lot of bodybuilders who are massive that walk in the gym and just train what they feeling and they not small
But say I've been doing bench, shoulders, triceps and dips on push day for years. Mixing it up like starting with dips and ending with bench would be beneficial, no???
B.S
i have a question, 8 week vs 12 week workout plan?
I never really though of it like that. I just search up excercises for my muscle groups i am doing that day and do them. I always try to make sure my form is good though.
Well I actually recommend experimenting with your workout style. This is what Bruce Lee did to make a plan that would fit hia needs. There are so many types of workout styles like: Plyometrics, isometrics, strength training, all the kids of strength training and so much more.
I agree. My trainer, however, told me to constantly confuse my muscles. Although if you're doing more weights and/or more reps week after week, then I would think it's the same thing. He's teaching me circuit training which is making my recovery time longer so it's been difficult to track my progress. It's discouraging.
you should change every 2 to 4 weeks
I change my workouts every 6-12 weeks depending on the phrases I do. Such as doing isolated workouts (bro split) then switching it to the the good ole push pull legs
How about if you’ve hit a plateau how often should you change it up?
Thank you
