In this video, I’m going to give you some hypothyroid diet tips. If you have a hypothyroid problem, this video is for you.
Tip #1 – Don’t go on a low-calorie diet. Why? Because you also lower your nutrition, which starves the metabolism. Low-calorie diets end up slowing down your thyroid even more. You need plenty of nutrients, so don’t starve your body.
Tip #2 – Avoid pre-packaged foods. Most pre-packaged foods contain something called soy protein isolates. What are these? They are a very low-quality protein that interferes with the thyroid and the liver. These are not good for the body. Avoid soy at all costs
Tip #3 – Avoid stimulates. This includes things like phentermine and diet pills. When the thyroid is stimulated, you run the risk of burning it out down the road. Stay away from stimulates like these.

This information is still timely!
I love the low carb lifestyle BUT I do find for women especially cycling carbs can be more beneficial. Long-term low-carb diets can decrease the enzyme, 5-deiodinase which can actually reduce free T3 levels.
hypothiroid with fatty liver, diet plan ? please !
I'm on Armour thyroid
I don't think it's doing a darn thing. I worked for an acupuncturist for 16 years and he had me on thyroid and tyrosine complex. Do you think that would be a good thing to go back to using? Truth be told I am eating kale broccoli and brussel sprouts, could this be problematic?
My DOCTOR put me on a diet stimulant to "help" weight gain from my HASHIMOTO THYROID DISEASE. Thank God I cut out big pharmaceuticals from my life 😮😮
I wish I watched this earlier before trying all these soy packaged diets. Trying to reverse it now!
Dr. Berg I don’t have a thyroid. Am I consider Hypo or not?

Dr.Berg!I am thyroid patient and TSH levels 7.20 at the same time my weight loss.which stage I am?what should I do for normal level of thyroid?

I wish my mom had seen this years ago before her thyroid was completely removed.
This was 8 yrs ago, can u update it please.
As a hypothyroid patient I can tell you that fruits help a lot but you have to eat a high volume of fruit daily.
Dr Berg, can I fast more than 7 days? I am on medication 100mg Levothyroxine. I want to cleanse the body.
Is Tofu considered bad as well? I love Korean tofu soup :< But I have a feeling I've got a thyroid issue, judging by all my symptoms… My T4/T3 and all that blood work is fine though, but I literally have every single symptom described in another video. Gunna try to take care of my diet and see.
So if you are low in T3 and T4 (not off the scale but in the bottom) and have swollen thyroid/goiter, but dont have hashimoto or Graves, and medicin/armour and iodine gives you bad symptoms, and you dont eat gluten/soy/dairy and avoid fluorid, and you eat organic and clean and healty oils, but still have problems and have a hard time gaining weight so being underweight – what to do? Btw. very hard time absorbing and iron, B12 and especially zinc even when tried up to 100mg daily. I´m lost….
Watching this after 8 years of shared.
Thank you Dr. Eric.
I’m convinced that the doctors I’ve seen are serious about killing me..
What about fermented soy, such as natto or tempeh?
What about hyperthyroidism
I think the key is healthy lifestyle. Eat a balance healthy meal. 8 hrs sleep , Exercise 30min, 6X/week. At least 2.5L water daily, minimal processed food, dairy , sugar and gluten ❤️ plus positive outlook. Good thoughts
