True REST Float Spa Introduction Video

Welcome to True REST, we are The Science of Feeling Great. Float therapy is an incredible therapy for pain relief, relaxation, and better sleep. We can't wait to see you at a True REST location soon.

hello and welcome to true rest sit back relax take a deep breath we're going to take a few minutes to go over the history research and the benefits of float therapy you have come to the right place with locations all over north america we have been the leader in float therapy since 2014. floating was invented in the 1950s by dr john c lilly who is doing research on brain waves and altered states of consciousness since then research has been done by many institutions including the national institute of health and what they have found is that float therapy produces profound relaxation promotes pain relief better sleep and reduces anxiety we have seen drastic transformations and incredible testimonials from our clients who have turned afloat therapy as a holistic approach for severe anxiety depression ptsd and chronic pain true rest provides an environment that suspends your body in a zero-gravity-like state this is accomplished with about a thousand pounds of magnesium sulfate more commonly known as epsom salts which is dissolved in just 10 inches of water heated to skin temperature creating a euphoric experience that can't be found anywhere else other than maybe the dead sea just like working out or dieting it'll take a few floats before you truly begin to notice the benefits some people notice them immediately and for others it takes more practice but your self-care is worth it tension pain anxiety and frustration didn't form overnight and it'll take time for you to be able to release these on a significant scale imagine a life full of energy well slept without stress or pain now think about how much more of that energy you could give to the relationships and passions in your life that is the true rest difference when you step into your private float suite you are in complete control of your experience from the music choice volume lid all the way to the lighting you will notice earplugs petroleum jelly that acts as an underwater band-aid a set of towels and a neck pillow to use at your convenience before stepping into the float pod we first recommend putting in ear plugs as it allows them to fit seamlessly and not fall out during your float take a quick shower and feel free to step into the float pod lie down and get comfortable for first time floaters you may be wondering how to position yourself while there are no wrong positions the ones that we most commonly see are the surrender and mild dance which are good for an upper body stretch and upper body and neck pain the plank and the mummy which are good for ultimate relaxation and comfort try not to splash around or touch your face to avoid getting salt water into your eyes if salt water does happen to splash onto your face you'll find a clean water spray bottle and a towel in your pod to easily wash off the salt your comfort is our number one priority so if you need anything at all feel free to press the intercom button and let one of our float consultants know what we can do for you now that you're settled into your float pod take a few deep breaths and begin some simple relaxation techniques we recommend a breathing exercise by one of our board members dr michael bruce commonly known as the sleep doctor his coined 478 breathing technique is four seconds of breath in seven second hold and eight seconds of a slow exhale do this a few times until you begin to relax if your mind does begin to wander have no fear this is perfectly normal try to realign yourself and return to deep breaths some clients tell us that the hour only felt like five minutes this is the theta brainwave state this is a slower brainwave frequency the theta wave activity has been associated with meditation greater long-term memory storage enhanced creativity and better problem solving in our normal day today our brain is actively in a beta wave state but research has shown us that in the first 15 minutes of floating your blood pressure will drop and you will begin to transition into that theta wave state in the absence of any light whatsoever you may notice daydreams lights or patterns without gravity or distractions you may feel the parts of your body that have inflammation or dull pain a little bit more intensely allow the epsom salts to do their work they are a natural healer epsom salts help remove lactic acid from the muscles reducing tension and inflammation as scientific research shows the benefits of float therapy can reduce pain up to 90 percent by the third float and keep pain at bay for up to three days other benefits include increased endorphin production mental clarity decreased swelling improved circulation and extreme calm all while aiding in the reduction of fatigue jet lag depression and can even help with addiction our minds are used to being over stimulated and the brain can be the hardest to train we recommend you try at least three floats to experience the full range of benefits you may completely fall asleep or you may feel restless towards the end of your float both are perfectly normal resume your breath work and enjoy the peace and quiet in rare cases nausea is possible our stomachs are the number one stress holder and this could be a sign of your body finally beginning to let go of that stress if you're feeling sick please step out and let one of our float consultants know if you are uncomfortable and if there is anything we can do to assist [Music] remember this is your time and you will learn to love the time in the floatpod this does take practice but you are always worth it towards the end of your float you will be awakened by music that indicates the last five minutes of your float take this time to reset come back to your body give yourself grace and gratitude at this point you can slowly exit the float pod rinse off and join us in the oasis room for a cup of hot tea and enjoy our oxygen bar there is no rush relax hang out and journal about your experience take some time to learn about customizing your next float experience with our member enhancement programs talk to one of your flow consultants at the end of your float if you're just visiting we hope to see you back soon if there's not a true rest in your neighborhood consider opening your own true rest enjoy your float and welcome to the science of feeling great you

  5. Can you tell me why when you try to schedule a session, the website doesn’t ask u the time of ur session? lol

  6. i am glad I saw this I wondered if i could listen to music while floating

  7. It all sounded interesting until you referenced John C. Lilly and I was like wait, what? He's that guy that tried to get dolphins to talk, gave them drugs and did even crazier stuff to them with an unpaid female intern.

  8. Did my first float Sunday. Loved it. I smiled the whole time. Can't wait to do it again. I've been telling all my friends and family.

  9. Are the pods cleaned and water changed after each use? Why aren't there any responses to questions being answered by a representatives from True Rest?

  10. What if you don’t know how to float you love the water in the sea but you don’t know how to swim

  11. If I invite a guest do we have seperate pods or can we share a pod?

  12. Man, I'm going to book an appointment and take a low dose hybrid thc gummy before going. It will be heaven.

  13. I have a 2.5 hour session tomorrow & can't wait! I found with an hour session, i would get to my zen place, then start thinking that the time was just about up. With the longer time i have time to zone out, come back to reality & find my zen again. Love floating!

  14. Im looking into this to try it, and i wonder…Is it safe to fall asleep in water? Isn't that a drowning hazard?

  15. Would this help bursitis of the hip? I have inflamed bursa and it is so painful

  16. My only small complain is I wish there is a sign to be quiet in the oasis room. I visited twice, the first one, the guest and the representive talked loud inside the oasis room. The 2nd time, there was a guest talking loud on her cellphone. The lobby should be more appropriate if they want to talk loud.
