1-Day digital detox recipe



Smartphones are so deeply integrated into our lives that it is hard to come out of its ecosystem.

While we don’t have to give up our smartphones, we must have strategies to set limits and to follow them.

This recipe for a 1-day digital detox will help us reclaim what is truly ours if we commit to a weekly detox and schedule activities that fill our time without a screen.

Here is how you can do a day-long digital 
detox. Step number one, on a Sunday from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M., switch off your phone or at 
least put it away outside your reach. Number two, switch off your laptop and all devices which 
have some kind of screen on it. Number three, have some non-digital activities planned for 
the day. As an example, reading, writing, playing games, walking, biking, running, 
swimming, spending time with family, et cetera. As you start off in the morning, 
for some time you will feel anxious, but by afternoon you will feel 
calm and blissful. Try it out.
