hey guys and welcome to frankie and postpartum tv postpartum binders are excellent for postpartum recovery especially if you have diastasis however you want to avoid these two mistakes to help prevent prolapse and help stop delaying your recovery so when you are wearing a binder you want it to support you but you don't want to cinch it too tight so diastasis and prolapse are intra-abdominal pressure problems and you don't want too much pressure pushing out here or pushing down on your pelvic floor if you are able to cinch it too tight squeezing here the pressure has to go somewhere it's going to go down on your pelvic floor and prolapse is a more difficult problem to fix than diastasis rectifier so you want to make sure that you're not cinching it too tight and putting pressure down on your pelvic floor also make sure that when you're doing any difficult movement or exercise you're not bearing down on your pelvic floor the second mistake that you want to avoid is wearing it too often and so that you're depending on your binder to hold everything in and you're not doing the work yourself so it's good to wear for shorter periods of time in the beginning you wear it for longer but then you want to wean yourself off of it and start activating and using your own core muscles to be able to progress and heal i hope you found those two tips helpful if you have any more questions about postpartum binders or wraps feel free to put them in the comments below and of course i will keep making a pregnancy and postpartum workouts birth education recovery every week if you like videos like these subscribe and hit the notification bell if you do have diastasize also i will link to my complete guide on how i healed my finger dice acid recti gap in the description box below [Music] you

  1. Other common questions:
    Q: When can I start?
A: After you get clearance to use it usually a couple days after birth

Q: How long should I wear it for?
A: A postpartum belly wrap is commonly recommended f
To be worn for 2-4 months (depending on your recovery and if you have Diastasis Recti)

Q: How long should I wear it each day?
A: You can start with an hour or short periods and increase to 12 hours/day (I didn’t use it when sleeping and is the least beneficial at that time). Depending on how your recovery is going, wear for a few weeks or 4 months. As you feel stronger wear it for less hours in the day focusing on good posture and using your TA muscles off and on throughout the day to gain strength and function 💞

  2. Is belly binding a good think to do after c section? If yes than when should I start?

  3. What to do if you haven't wore a belt for 4 months after delivery?? My doctor advised me to exercise and that i need not worry about wearing a belt! But i think i should have. Pls advise.

  4. Omg I’ve been doing it wrong.
Had my baby 2 weeks ago and I wrap’s my belly tight. Until I saw this video I remove it asap 😢😢😢

  5. Hi! When should you start to wear a wrap post c section?

  6. I am 7 months postpartum. In the initial days everytime i wore the binder i felt a lot of pressure in my pelvic area. So i stopped wearing it. I have a 2 finger diastasis recti. Will the stomach binder help now?

  7. Can i use belly warp after a year of my delivery will it be useful??

  8. i didn't use belly wrap it was too hot to wear it, my belly didn't shrink, nearly obese and now i am 3 months postpartum

  9. Hi there! What kind of belt is better because there is so much choice in the market

  10. After 4 months of delivery can this help to reduce belly size?

  11. After my first delivery by CS I was arguing with hospital staff to use a girdle, and I wore it hiddenly whenever I could🙄 They were telling me that girdle weaken my muscles🙄 at the same time missing the fact that my baby was born 4,5 kilos. I felt my inner organs lost its support and litelally had dropped, it was hard to move, to walk and breath, and when I wore it, it helped me soooo much. After 3 months of wearing it I didn’t have prolapse of uterus, my muscles are as strong now as never before. I hate this stupidity in hospitals. In 3 months we are expecting the 2nd baby and I will wear my girdle right after I come out of anastesia😄✊

  12. Spot on. Thank you 😊

  13. My c section was 4 months ago. Is it too late for me to wear a band?

  14. I would like to know when is the right time to start using belts? How long after delivery?

  15. Is she saying that we can try to start after 2 weeks till 4 months any body plz guide me

  16. What binder do you recommend us to buy?

  17. I just delivered 4 days ago and was wearing a binder all day yesterday to keep everything “in” because my core felt so weak and the “looseness” in my abdomen made me move strangely. It was great at first, I definitely felt supported, but I also did it very tight. Then I noticed a lot of pelvic pain especially on a full bladder. Decided to forgo the wrap and have been wearing my maternity leggings again as support instead and so far so much better already and it’s only been a few hours. I’ll go back to the wrap more for a “refinement” but for now I don’t think it’s doing any good.

  18. What’s the name of that binder ?

  19. Hello, so I am 18 months PP and I normally do the core rehabilitation exercises including yours but i still look pregnant. I gave birth through CS and I didn't start working out sooner because i was aware of core rehab. Can I still bind my tummy with bengkung belly wrap and do the exercises at the same time? P.S I noticed that my DR gap has gone from a 3 finger to 1 and a half finger

  20. This is a great point! I suspect the current beauty ideals as well as tension due to stress and bad posture due to sitting a lot are one of the biggest contributors to pelvic floor issues as it is.

  21. What about the wraps that come with three pieces, belly wrap, waist belt, and pelvic belt. Essentially you wear all three at once? Can it cause prolapse if you tighten the belly wrap too hard even though you have a pelvic belt on?

  22. This is so helpful. I was trying to find out if I wear this 24/7 cause I thought I should even during sleep. Looks like no I shouldn’t. I may have been too tight too but I don’t think so but so good to know there’s such thing as too tight

  23. Recently I have delivered and it's a girl baby ❣️❣️ Umm 5days before. Should I wear it now or later? Please reply.. Lots of love😘😘

  24. Hi Jessica!! Thank you so much for your videos and everything you do :). Im 37 weeks pregnant and was wondering how soon I can start the postpartum videos after I have my baby. Thanks again 💕

  25. How do you know if it to tight will it hurt or will it be like a corset
Sorry for stupid question but I am nervous about the wrap I bought now

  26. I am a bit confused as with my first I got the same wrap and my midwife who was checking on me pp said I need to let my lower back recover as that way you are making everything lazy there. With my second I didnt use it afters and I just started working out and doing a lot of pelvic floor recovery exercises and I got a flat tummy in no time and everything went back to place. Due in 11 days now with baby number 3 and I am undecided on the wrap 🤷🏻‍♀️

  27. I love your videos I wish I was more consistent with your workouts and yoga during my pregnancy but I’m now 4 months pp with a 3-4 finger diastasis gap and I’m just now about to start back working out due to a prolonged recovery and just adjusting to motherhood. Should I be wearing the band while doing exercises?

  28. Do you have any info for a C-section after care wrap?

  29. Must everyone use it? Can't tummy go back flat without wrapping anything to it?

  30. Thank you very much, such a valuable little video! I hope whoever this may apply to will take this to heart.
Personally I suspect wrong-wrapping has contributed to my cystocele and rectocele. Now 1,5 year postpartum of my second child, I still struggle my prolapses (both physically and mentally). It pains me to know it could have prevented- so I truly hope this will help others from going through the same ❤️

  31. Is it too late to fix DR at 9 months pp? Mine is small but need to do something about it

  32. Ah! Wish I would have seen this many years ago. I ended up with a lot of pain after wrapping for a month and I wonder if it was because it was too tight (I used the traditional way-too-much-trouble wrap). Well this is good to know if I ever do it again (and to recommend to people). Thank you!

  33. Thank you Jessica for all that you share! How long do you recommend using it? And do you use it to sleep?

  34. Is it bad to use belt in post partum???
