[Music] hi everyone out there how's it going welcome back to my channel in today's video i'm going to be sharing with you five really easy really healthy snack ideas i love snacks i'm also pregnant so i extra love snacks these days and i just feel like what makes a good snack is one that incorporates elements like protein and fat and fiber and things that can help us to feel a little bit more full between our meals through the day so they're nourishing in that sense but also that don't take very long to make i feel like that is such a key for a snack we don't want to be spending a ton of time trying to prepare a little snack for ourselves throughout the day so these ones can all be made in two minutes or less super quick to make some of these are ones that i have been loving in particular lately i've been making a ton of more recently so let's dive in this first snack are cranberry cream cheese cracker bites these are so good i could honestly eat like 100 of them all you need is your favorite kind of cracker i just have some rice crackers here you'll need some dried cranberries some rosemary and some cream cheese i like this brand by arla it has really simple ingredients and all you've got to do is spread your cream cheese on top of your crackers [Music] place a couple cranberries on top as well as some rosemary you don't want to overdo it with the rosemary just like a couple little little sprigs you can also do dried rosemary works well too or you can omit the rosemary you don't actually have to use it for this recipe but i do find it adds a really nice flavor and that is it really simple so tasty just delicious i love these the next snack here is a very simple guacamole and tortilla chips just such a classic and i'm going to share with you the way that i like to make it and kind of how i've been making it these days so you'll need a ripe avocado some lime or lemon juice some salt and pepper some dried garlic and your favorite tortilla chips take your avocado and scoop it out into a bowl one whole avocado add in your lemon or lime juice some salt and pepper and some dried garlic and just mash it really really well until it's nice and smooth now this is how i make it for just a simple guacamole really quick and easy but you can also add things like cumin or chili powder or chili flakes or some chopped cilantro would also be really really good but that's it just pair with some tortilla chips and i love this been eating a ton of this lately guacamole makes a nice filling snack because avocados are a great source of b vitamins and also monounsaturated fats so it's really nice and kind of satiating because of that higher fat content all right the next snack here is very simple just some bread with nut butter hemp seeds and honey so this is my go-to when i just want to make something really fast all you need is your favorite kind of bread i have a sprouted grain bread here some honey some peanut butter and some hemp seeds and you're just going to spread on your peanut butter you could also use any other nut butter that you like you could do an almond butter as well but just spread that on top sprinkle on some of those hemp seeds which are great source of some healthy omega-3 fats as well as some protein too some plant-based protein and then just drizzle on some honey you could fold this in half as well if you wanted to this snack gives you a really nice combination of some complex carbohydrates and some plant-based protein which i love peanut butter has about four grams of protein per tablespoon [Music] this next snack recipe is a really simple strawberries and yogurt bowl all you need for this is your favorite yogurt i'm using a skewer yogurt which has a good protein content some honey some chia seeds and some strawberries so you'll just take a couple big dollops of yogurt in a bowl however much you want really in a few strawberries slice them up i like to have like some bite-sized pieces for this and then plop them on top and then you're just going to top this with some honey with a drizzle of honey and that just gives it a really nice flavor i like to use unsweetened yogurt that is my you know preference when i buy yogurt typically and then you can top it also with some chia seeds too which i find just helps to add that little extra bit of some healthy fats but this is actually a really great kind of high protein snack that is so easy to do takes no time at all you could use whatever berries you like as well [Music] and lastly we have these peanut butter and chocolate date bites these are delightful especially if you're in the mood for a sweeter snack all you need are a few medjool dates really as many as you would like to eat i usually do about two or three here and you'll need some sea salt some chocolate chips and some peanut butter of course you could use another nut butter if you would like to but all you do is peel in half your dates and remove the pit and then you're just gonna stuff with some peanut butter a few chocolate chips and a sprinkle of sea salt on top as well which really helps to round out all the flavors and these are also quite nice if you put them in the fridge to let them kind of cool up or even you can let them chill in the freezer for about 10 minutes but that's it really really tasty the dates add a nice kind of caramel chewy flavor and just pairs nicely with the chocolate and peanut butter [Music] so that's it for today's video thank you so much for watching i hope that you give one of these snacks a try let me know in the comments below which I read and article ones whre the lady talked about pregnancy and nutrients. My favorite was avocado 🥑 it looks like a pregnant avocado when you cut it in half and she said that is one of the best things eat during pregnancies
