five extremely helpful things to know on world mental health day number one you're not alone and you're not uniquely dysfunctional if you've got mental health challenges millions of other people have that and just remembering that can be very helpful number two uh there are many treatments but there are no miracle cures uh progress is rarely linear I've had panic and anxiety and depression since I was a little boy and it comes back once in a while and I've always been able to bounce back and number three it's very helpful to have a sense of humor you should take your mental health seriously but not take yourself seriously number four h and this is a little counterintuitive what of the most effective treatments for some mental health conditions including loneliness is service volunteering it can be so helpful to pull your head out of your ass uh and number five never worry alone talk to somebody talk to your friends talk to your family talk to your shrink happy mental health day uh and uh interp mother
