yo Pier I see all this hype about cold showers cold showers give me one good reason I would want to do that to myself I'll give you three good reasons you want to do that to yourself so make sure to save this first reason is that when you take a cold shower your body reacts to it the same way it would when you feel anxious or stressed exactly why I don't want to do it exactly why you should do it when you're anxious your heart rate increases your blood pressure increases you feel more alert you have shallow breathing yeah and I don't like that okay but imagine you repeatedly expose your body to react that way when taking a cold shower so then when you're actually faced with a situation that usually makes you anxious or stressed used to it so you build resilience and self-control that is a good point cuz you're making your body deal with that but also get used to it give me another reason when you take coat showers you get a dopamine hit which is a feel-good chemical now you also get dopamine when you're on your phone and you're scrolling the only difference is that with cold showers the dopamine doesn't drop below Basel line afterwards that makes sense cuz you're getting dopamine from something that requires effort which is how it should be exactly and lastly for your physical health it boosts your immune system it's good for your hair and skin health and it enhances your recovery all right you convinced me now I'm going to go take a cold shower and I'll follow you for more tips

  7. That's 🧢! I took a cold shower an hour before my teeth extraction and I kept trembling none stop from the cold and nervousness. My dentist thought I was having a seizure. It didn't calm me down, it made it worse.

    Your routine should be if you take

    1 shower:
    Afternoon: Cold

    2 Showers:
    Morning: Cold
    Night: Warm or Hot (really hot water also builds resilience)

    3 Showers (kind of extreme in my opinion):
    Morning: Cold
    Afternoon: Cold
    Night: Warm or hot

  30. Gotta be honest cold showers are kind of lit although I do vary it I do a little bit of warm at the start then I switch to full on cold not sure if it gives same affect but it is easier and still gives a good feeling

  36. I went though a break up and decided to run a 35 minute run and a cold shower helped me cool down so much

  37. 1 thing to take note : Do NOT take cold showers in Greenland with the coldest water possible. You might get hypothermia. (I would know)
