Cut Your Workouts In Half (Trust Me)

3 ways to cut down on your workout time without sacrificing gains!

1. Skip rest time between warm-up sets
2. Use separated supersets
3. Use dumbbells

I'm going to save you 30 minutes off your next workout with three simple tips and it won't cost you any gains first stop resting in between your warm-up sets seriously they're just warm-up sets so by definition they shouldn't have you anywhere close to failure your muscles don't need a rest just go from one warm-up set right into another then start resting right before your first working set this should save you about 10 minutes across the whole workout two use separated supersets this is when you pair two exercises that Target different muscles without resting in between if you superet your tricep press Downs with bicep curls your biceps are curling while your triceps are resting a new study found this reduced workout time by 25 minutes without sacrificing gains three use dumbbells you can pick up a pair of dumbbells a lot faster than you can set up a barbell or pick a machine adjust it for your height and then load it up with weight dumbells might not be quite as optimal as machines on some exercises but if you're limited on time they're definitely the way to go

  1. Homie was hogging the only machine I wanted to use for a deep chest stretch today. Horrible

  2. Dumbells faster than a machine? Only if you have to wait to use the machine.

  3. You lost me when you said bi cep and tri cep in the same sentence

  4. Guys I need some advice:
What can I superset after rows and what can I superset after lat pulldowns?

For the rows, I use this mashine where you lean against a pad and load up with plates. If it makes any difference. I have no idea what it is called, one swole guy told me to do it for my upper back 😭

  5. We're about to speedrun the gym with this 🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥

  6. I agree with most but the idea of warm-ups, for me at least, isn't just get through the set to get warm. Warm-up for me is one of the biggest parts for injury prevention. Going slow in the beginning even with rest between warm ups allows you to feel any tightness, kinks, soreness that you might not notice if you just try and blast through your work out to speed up your work out. He gives great tips as always but always keep your safety in mind .

  7. Solid advice, always get good knowledge from this dude

  8. Easy dont scroll on ur phone😅

  9. Idk why someone would take advice from someone with your physique

  10. Thank you. These idiots out here rest a half hour between everything

  11. The super setting of opposit body parts will create an intense workout. Run between exercises to next exercise. Never rest more than 60-90 sec. Your shirt will be drenched. These workouts made my life seem so much easier. And listen to your body if it says hey you need more rest today. That's fine.

  12. First tip – maybe if youre 12 years old. You need a blood flow to keep your joints warm do rests on warm up are obvious

  13. this is how i workout without knowing wtf it was called. I do 2 workouts without rest. I just like the intensity more.

  14. Watching this short alone cost me more time than the cost savings it suggests we make at the gym

  15. i dont think you understand the concept of a warm up set, you're not supposed to halfas it, you're supposed to control it and do it properly and make the muscle warm!

  16. I work 72 hours a week. The only time I am able, I am only doing a 30 minute workout. Make your work out work for you. ESPECIALLY, if you are on a budget.

  17. The thing with supersets is that although the muscles are fine my heart rate increases and I get exhausted after a set so to do another set is hard even if it’s different muscles is still hard

  18. Man why does this guy annoy me so much his head is like a bobble head to me

  19. Jokes on you, my workouts are 30 minutes long

  20. Also compound movements! You’re getting more for your time targeting working more muscles in one exercise

  21. Does this only apply to little people?

  22. Put the phone down. Biggest time waster I see in the gym.

  23. separated supersets are great in terms of the body, but terrible in terms of the mind. on paper, you could do another exercise while resting, but the mind is a muscle too, and it gets tired. I found myself performing way worse just because my mind wasn't able to push my muscles to their limit.

  24. I was doing supersets , thinking i reinvented muscle building, it was a thing all along 😮

  25. You forgot stop scrolling on instagram between sets 😀 it will save 30min alone

  26. Supersets would be a nice idea. Not to me though, my body is wasted after finishing a set. I end craving for that 2 min of sweet resting.

  27. Lift heavy time under tension eat a lot frick the science

  28. Now give tips for gym full to the brim lol

  29. Wish I could do supersets at Planet Fitness but every cable machine is taken 24/7 lmao

  30. John 20:29

Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

  31. 4- Dont work out when youtubers are filming

  32. I’ve been saving time by not even knowing what a warmup set is lol.

  33. Thanks for the useful info, awesome

  34. I work out for two hours every other day. I like that it takes me two hours

  35. I alternate between arms and legs for each work out

  36. a take a beer between

  37. Surely seperated supersets are not effective for any big compound movement (e.g. bench) due to overall fatigue?

  38. He sure did save me 30 minz off my workout times, I just stopped going to the gym.

  39. Alternatively use icy hot or similar creams when going to the gym, and bam, no warm up needed

  40. Any one else nedd to rest Between super sets?

  41. watching this 3 times so I don't have to work out

  42. The antagonistic supersets will cost you a little bit of gains. If you are training anywhere near failure you need more time to rest to maximize the motor unit recruitment of the next. If you are low on time or don't care about making the best possible gains they are a good idea.
