hi it's Nick Nick's nutrition and welcome back in this video I'm going to give you my 5 top tips on how to snack healthy when you're at work so tip number 1 is to think protein and produce and make sure your snack contains some sort of protein and something fresh that's going to provide you with fiber an example is some carrots and Hummers or you could have an apple and some baby Bell or you could even have some fresh fruit and yogurt when you combine two different types of snack it's also really satisfying so hopefully you've been less tempted to nibble on the office biscuits my second tip is to keep some pre-packed healthy food in your desk drawer when you feel peckish I've got some of my favorite ones here and they're basically based around dried fruit and notes my top tip is to always check the ingredients list and if it's things like dried fruit nuts oats at the top then it's probably going to be fairly good for you and if say sugar is the first second or third ingredient and you might want to swap it something else so my third tip is to consider how you're going to carry your healthy snacks into work in the first place if it's fresh fruit and great fresh fruit comes with its own casing already but it's say you're bringing in something loose like some walnuts and apricots these Tupperware containers are really good and you can get them from most supermarkets when it comes to bringing in home baked goods so I got some oat and Apple bars and I've got some dried fruit and nut bars here just make sure that they're wrapped up in add a cling film awesome file so my fourth tip is to invest in one of these mini core bags which you can get from places like Amazon I put a nice back in mine and it just means that if you don't have access to a stuff fridge you can keep things like hummus or cheese cool and fresh so my fifth and final tip is to stay hydrated when you're at work so I for one love water with lemon slices I also love drinking green tea the reason why I say this is that hundred thirds can get confused so make sure that you're hydrated before you reach your healthy snacks I really hope that your family's tips useful I would love to hear what your healthy snacks are for work so please do leave them as a comment down below please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe if you've enjoyed it and I look forward to seeing you all next week

Fab ideas thank you x
They have this tupperware designed for salads that are really useful – it keeps it from getting soggy and is more portable than standard square/rectangle tupperware/having to use more than one container to avoid having to premix the salad.
Love this video! Snack a jack are too good haha specially the chocolate chips ones
Great ideas! I love your top too x
Hey Nic! Thanks for the video. Quick question: are rice cakes ok for those of us trying to control insulin peeks? I had contrasting answers.

Hi Nichola! Thanks for the wonderful tips. I didn't know that there were so many options for healthy snacks. I thought fruits and water were the only options. I guess it's easy to overlook other choices because there are so many unhealthy temptations around. Thanks for the clarification!
Thank you for your tips 🙂 Btw. you look amazing!
