I unlocked this level of flexibility with very little stretching here's how when I was really stiff I would stretch a ton it was useful but time consuming so a while back I decided to spend almost no time stretching and just chose strength exercises that would promote more flexibility for hip opening I chose the Cossack squat with weights and I did this twice a week for over a year progressively adding more weight but if you're gonna do this don't push the weight too quick there's a Goldilocks zone where the weight pushes you deeper too heavy and your body will tense up and to make them even more efficient for hip opening I started transitioning from side to side while staying as low as possible toe down or toe up figure out which one is harder for you and do that one for me it was toe down and if your ankle limits you just place a lift under the heel three sets of 10 reps five on each side should do the trick moral of the story work smarter not harder what's your favorite strength Usher size that gives you flexibility as well

so you stretched
I achieved that flexibility from rolling up my yoga mat daily after practice. Little by little, I could finally lay my torso on the floor and thus accomplish two things at once 😉
Would anyone happen to know what pants these are, I need these frfr
❤❤ okay, I've only watched you for a few days. But OMG you are amazing!
The pullover fixed my shoulder!
I do pushups with my fingers facing my feet so hands are backwards. I also like doing the Cossack squats.
Overhead squat
Are you supposed to push through it if it feels like your bones are hitting eachother? Very painful
I started doing these in my morning routine and it was very effective for strengthening gait. I now hold a medicine ball when I do it. Getting to the point where I can sit my heels down was tough, a lot of it just takes trusting your body because this kind of mobility may seem awkward at first, then you can get into the flow. It’s one of my favorite stretch exercises now. Idk when I first saw this video but it sure made an impact 🙌 ✨ 💪
I wonder what that does to the knees, especially if you already have osteoarthritis, gonarthrosis
I skipped the last couple years due to life but I have 3/4 skiens in my stash and can 100% justify buying one skien for a project! Can't wait to join you again this year!
Can you make a longer video of such kind of exercises, which can be done as a whole workout? That would be so helpful.
Squats with a kettlebell, twisting side to side to open my hips really did numbers for my deep squat movement. I would do it as a warm up. No stretching, and I could do a lot (at least I thought so).
Thanks for the knowledge!
Thanks for this! I definitely need this hack!❤😊
😐
so
stretching with extra steps.
🤦♂️
You're still stretching…even if you didn't do "stretches" just added weight and progressive overload…which you'd want to do anyway.
This is just weighted stretching my guy
so you unlocked a middle splt from cossack squats? also what if you can bend that far down after the split?
Atg split squats or seated good mornings
Seated rows with about 30-50% of my 1 RM and light farmers walks both help ease pain in my lower back. They’re exercises I can do that feel restorative.
3 sets of 10 reps 5 on each side. Sooo 150 reps got it
I been doing this but i can't keep s good upright posture the whole time, back will give out. It's probably the weight+limited mobility but my lower body usually isnt the limiting factor, i might reduce the reps to 5 each side like this video vs 10 i was doing
Great more white males
What brand of pants are those? Thanks for the helpful info!
Its still stretching…but i get what you mean that you dont like focusing on just stretching alone…i feel this advice can be dangerous for people with isolated weak spots of strength or flexibility in their legs.
wow❤
Just cuz I can do 50# dumbbell squats doesn’t mean I should. 30# is a nice medium to do stuff like this. Your body isn’t completely threatened by it and thinks you’re just holding a toddler lol.
Stretch with weights. Got it
This is stretching.
hey this is lowkey helpful! thanks king
That shit looks scary ..
Willing to bet you still spent the same about of time
Very little stretching, not counting the weighted stretching twice a week for over a year 😂
Do the same thing while maintaining the isometrics hold as in I'm not going up in just going side to side as low as I can go while doing a horse stance
Downward dog is my favorite strength training stretch.
Great tips !
I will most definitely do this. Thanks
❤
I started doing weighted Cossacks recently. Definitely an overlooked move!
Excellent
The exercises that you do here, ARE stretching. The only difference is that you added weights.
its called eccentric stretch under load.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
RDLs have to be the best example for this concept. The kossak squat and someone else said the ATG split squat, are probably what most people will benefit from
Most Cali-guys are a bit stiff. Nothing wrong with that.
amazing, thank you!
