How I Lost 80 Pounds With Intermittent Fasting

In 2014 I was 222 pounds. By October 2018, I had lost 80 pounds eating whatever I wanted, by practicing intermittent fasting 6 days a week, walking six miles a day, and taking a cheat day every Sunday.

I lost 80 pounds with intermittent fasting eating whatever I wanted and here's how I did it I had struggled with my weight my entire life from the time I was a kid and in March of 2014 I was tagged in some Facebook photos and I did not recognize myself that was my I've had enough moment and by the end of that year I heard about intermittent fasting in 2015 I lost about 20 pounds doing a very inconsistent form of intermittent fasting meaning that I would do intermittent fasting for a while and then I would quit because the results weren't fast enough and eventually I heard my back doing a deadlift because I was lifting really heavy weights and trying to work out really hard uh to lose weight and so after that back injury all I could really do uh for exercise was to walk so I did that uh but by the end of the year I had started regaining some of that weight back and so I had a net loss of about 15 pounds that year in January of 2016 I decided to focus on being consistent with a very simple plan I committed to practicing intermittent fasting 6 days a week walking six miles a day and taking a day off from fasting what I called my cheat day on Sunday by that time I had slowly worked my way up to about a 168 fasting window and I kept pushing that out gradually until I eventually got to omad which is just one meal a day unbeknownst to me at the time I was practicing what's known as dirty fasting which means I was allowing myself coffee with half and half in it whenever I wanted it during the fasting window one rule I had consistently during my eating window during the entire time was to eat whatever I wanted I had no rules about what kind of foods I had to eat I was not low carb I was not even high protein I just ate whatever food my family was eating I would eat dessert chocolate I would drink wine whenever I wanted it and my consistency paid off by the end of that year I was at 158 lbs for a total loss of 65 lbs I decided to maintain for about a year before I started this YouTube channel I decided to lose a bit more weight because at 158 I was about 4 lb overweight according to the body mass index over the course of the next year I lost down to 142 lb which is a total of 80 lb from my highest confirmed weight of 222 lb once I got down to 142 I found that I had found the diminishing point of returns for me for weight loss I didn't really feel any different between 158 and 142 so I decided to maintain in about a 10 PB range which is what I've done since October of 2018 what I love about intermittent fasting is that it helps make the process of eating the right amount of food so that you can lose weight and maintain it a lot easier it also taught me that Simplicity of weight loss it's really not about what foods you're eating it's about how much you're eating I also learned that working out really hard isn't necessary for weight loss I had the best results when I was just walking 6 miles a day and taking that Weekly cheat day also taught me that you don't have to be perfect on the weight loss journey in order to have good results losing 80 lbs changed my life I got comfortable in my own skin all of my relationships with god with food with my family with my husband improved and it gave me the confidence to do things like write books and make these videos at this point I've created hundreds of videos and podcast episodes about intermittent fasting so if you'd like to know more then check out the other videos on this channel thanks for watching I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the Insiders out there insiders get access to the Vlog that I do for this Channel and on the Vlog I talk about what's going on in my life and what I'm eating and just kind of what I'm doing in maintenance I also do a weekly YouTube live Q&A with insiders and they get access to the Discord server if you'd like to become an Insider just click the join button below thanks

  1. Hey guys! If you have questions, be sure to check the extensive FAQs page on my website https://sixmilestosupper.com/faqs/ Or buy my book, The Laid Back Guide to Intermittent Fasting on Amazon: https://amzn.to/4hkAYGM

  2. How can you improve a relationship with the voice in your head that you call god? That's a weird thing to brag about.

  3. She means 80 pounds but in English money. Not weight

  4. How did you limit yourself to eating whatever you wanted during ur eating windows?

  5. Simple, easy, straight to the point with photos and results. Great video! ❤

  6. I’ll be honest I went from 215 to my current weight of 185-195 and a big reason maybe the biggest reason was intermittent fasting. I’m not even the most committed to it either, like I really only intermittent fasting maybe 3 days a week at most. It really does make a difference and I feel so great after. It is the best for gut health, I’ve struggled with IBS symptoms and intermittent fasting is great for it. I’ll be honest my diet is good but it’s definitely not the cleanest. Intermittent fasting is great and I encourage any and everyone to give it a try.

  7. How cool! Your start and finish weight is the same as mine! I started at 224 and Im at 217 now but I definitely plan on continuing on and hitting 140!

  8. Love this vid in point and straight to the facts and info. Appreciate this

  9. Saying its ok to "eat whatever you want" regardless if you lost weight during fasting is HORRIBLE advice. You have to eat nutritious nutrient dense foods. A brainless monkey would know this.

  10. I lost 20 pounds in 4 weeks by going carnivore

  11. Congrats on your success ❤❤

  12. It absolutely is about what you are eating. OMAD isn't recommended for women either for a long period. At 140lbs you look overweight

  13. Magnificent! 👏👏👏

  14. Praise Lord Jesus Christ Son of the Living God.✝️🙏❤️

  15. What I get confused about is how many calories do you average per day? With one meal I'm usually under 1000. If I eat over that I don't seem to lose and I have 70-80#'s to lose.

  16. I'm working on eating to not feel hungry instead of eating to feel full

  17. Thanks so much for your honesty and making It easier❤

  18. Feeling discouraged after three weeks of 8/16 and no weight loss. Does this really work?
