Menopause: The Silent Killer of Women's Mental Health

→ Watch Jennifer's complete story on menopause symptoms: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXROdoPjt9I

In this episode we meet Jennifer. Her powerful story about experiencing joint pain, mood swings, and depression will directly connect you to the emotional and physical struggles that perimenopause symptoms create in a woman’s life. In Jennifer’s case these brutal symptoms have left her fighting suicidal thoughts and deep anxiety.

Jennifer’s story is not uncommon, and the courage she has shown publicly sharing her story will, if nothing else, let other women impacted by severe symptoms know they are not alone. Jennifer's video will also give you hope.

Despite all the hardships, she shares how she has coped, what she has done to keep her marriage sound, and how she has turned this time of turmoil into a means of giving back by starting a company focused on women’s health.

Experiencing menopause symptoms can make you feel caught off guard, out of control, confused and alone.

  1. Aging is a sacred process that is beautiful and honorable. I remember a time when the elders were viewed as royal and wise.

It’s society… they love what is controllable and the younger you are the more likely you are.

  2. Please ladies… talk to a telehealth hormone specialist online who can help in a big way. Don't even wait until menopause. Perimenopause starts 10 years before menopause. No one ine will tell you this. Most doctors don't even understand this very important topic. No readon to fight with your doctor to get oroper treatment. Joi and Midi are only a couple to chose from. Hormones can be sent to your door. At least talk to them. Hormone replacement therapy is a life saver. You have nothing to lose.✌️❤️

  3. So grateful to read everyone's beautiful comments, I'm 50 and still having periods. I'm perimenopausal, and I cry most days. I just want to end my life, I have no husband or children and feel like I'm a complete failure. Listening to the toxic hurtful voices every day is horrific. My mother, who I'm so close to just stands in front of me and says "yeah, it was tough for me too, you just have to pull through it". Then walks off, no hug, no encouragement, nothing. It makes me feel even worse and more alone. Anyway, thanks for listening ladies. Means a lot to me. If I could sit beside this beautiful lady I'd give her a huge hug and let her know how loved she is. People underestimate the power of a hug and a kind word when you're going through this 💜

  4. Me too lady, I’m only 49

  5. I had chills and anxiety one night but I love to go places

  6. I'm not in menopause yet but I'm in perimenopause

  7. This is where Iam in too. I hate it. I feel trapped in my body . Every day is a fight . I can’t do anything. All I do is lay on the couch and I want to be active again. Deeply depressed

  8. I am 49 years old and going through perimenopause, i dont think anyone could have prepared me for this. It is a living hell. Bodyaches and pain, insomina, debilitating fatigue, nausea, IBS, increase allergy, body odor, i have loss my hair it is so thin. Dizzinesss, sex is so painful i try to avoid it as much as possible. I feel sorry for my partner.

  9. You know I've dated two women going through menopause now and I can tell you as a man it's not a good thing run away

  10. So hard to convince myself during anxiety attacks, I sing Christian hymn playing flute, guitar till my anxiety is over.

  11. How is it helpful to give younger women a sense of impending doom? Many women do not experience any of these things, so what's the point of being terrified just in case? Here is a wild idea: let's find something more worthwhile to think about than our bodies.

  12. Me too on my body changing 😢

  13. My sister, I hope you get through this difficult time in your life, I think you’re beautiful and I love your hair, my mom and sister died young, for me getting older is an honor, and I welcome the change in this new phase of my life, I think about it as a privilege that many others don’t have, getting older and all this things that come with that are an experience that we should consider a gift, but that doesn’t mean that your feelings are not valued, I wish you come through the other side and enjoy your life, it is a gift. 🤍
Connect with other woman, wise and kind ones that will encourage and love you no matter what. 🤗

  14. Feel like a shadow some days

  15. Oh my gosh you are so Beautiful just a tiny bit of self care. Go leave the house and get you're self a make over. You're skin is beautiful You're body looks Great and you're hair just needs a bit of silver highlights and a beautiful cut. Men Can't help notice you❤❤❤

  16. Wow I made this video and just didn't know it!!! 😭

  17. Menopause should receive more attention!

  18. I am going to get my Evexius pellets on Monay, so EXCITED!! My sister has experienced ALL GREAT THINGS SINCE. NOBODY SHOULD EVER BE JUST THROWN TO THE WIND. AND MADE TO FEEL LIKE WE'RE CRAZY!! DOCTORS, GASLIGHTING YOU AS IF THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'RE SAYING TO THEM, OR HOW YOU'RE FEELING! LIKE, WHAT YOU'RE FEELING, IT'S JUST ALL NUTS. YOU'RE CRAZY. ALL WELL, KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING, MOST OF THE MEDICAL WORLD IS DISGUSTING AND DISGRACEFUL. THANK GOD FOR AMAZING HUMAN BEINGS WHO ACTUALLY WANT TO DIVE IN AND FIGURE THIS OUT.

  19. And when menopause turns into fibromyalgia, and you don't know what happens next on this slippery slope.

  20. Girl, same. Big hugs. 💛💛 we gotta be kinder to ourselves. Don’t we??

  21. So relatable…I get it.

  22. Feel exhausted every morning. I'm 38 an think it started at 35 when I had covid dont have kids an wondering if that has contributed. And stopped the pill a year ago an its made me feel ten times worse wake up exhausted everyday is this normal?

  23. I’m 34 and already feel this way. And I don’t even think I have early menopause. But idk. I just hate how I look now. Without filters that make me look the way I used to when I was in my 20s

  24. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

  25. Im on body identical hrt and all bad symptoms gone thanks god

  26. Methylene blue helped my Mom a lot. Our family doctor recommended it and it did wonders.

  27. Heartbreaking 😢 …. the struggle is so real & so ignored by the medical ‘community!’

  28. Omg she is me, and I am her. I have never felt so seen. I am.going THROUGH it and feel so alone 😢

  29. I'm in the same boat and wondering when things will get better.

  30. It gets better. Keep moving forward. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. You’ll come out of this stronger.❤

  31. While I’m not depressed I completely understand how she feels and I hate my body too. I exercise everyday, try to eat right and can’t seem to lose the weight that’s associated with menopause. I feel like I have to give up everything I once loved just to not have symptoms

  32. Sending her love and light. I wish she could see herself the way I do. I think she looks beautiful!

  33. Hard to understand but seems terrible sorry sound very depressing

  34. Hard to understand but seems terrible sorry sound very depressing

  35. Hard to understand but seems terrible sorry sound very depressing

  36. I got diagnosed with ADD this year. Oestrogen plays a HUGE role in mental health, and masking neurological conditions

  37. Women. The very loud killer of men, their mental health, their hopes, dreams, families, future, the west, their CHILDREN and everything good. Islam is so very right about you creatures

  38. Medication helps a lot. As someone who suffer from depression and anxiety all my life I can tell you. That medications are the best inventions for humanity. Hormones also helps you to feel like yourself again. It might take few difffrent kinds of meds until you find the right one for you.

  39. This is exactly how I feel 😢😢😢

  40. Menopause is hard, but so much easier than losing my husband suddenly three years ago. Now I'm in my 50s without my person and have depression and anxiety over what I'm supposed to do for the rest of my life.
