One Move to Fix Forward Head Posture #forwardheadposture

Dr. Rowe shows an easy exercise that can quickly help forward head posture.

A big reason for forward head posture is due to tight muscles that draw everything forward (anterior). This exercise will focus on loosening up these tight muscles, and may quickly improve posture within 30 seconds.

A big cause of forward head posture comes from
tight muscles that draw everything forward. Here's a really easy exercise that can quickly loosen
things up. Put your whole backside flush against a wall or a door. Take two fingers, put them on your
chin. Do a slight chin tuck towards your chest and now gently press your head into the door. You're
going to hold this and then put your arms out in front of you, shoulder width apart, elbows bent
at 90 degrees, fingers up towards the ceiling. Now reach upward towards the ceiling as much as you
can. The more that you go up, the more that you're going to feel a ton of muscles in the neck and the
upper back start to fire. Hold this comfortably for five seconds, relax, repeat this five times. This is
how we're going to take it to the next level. We're going to wing our elbows backward as much as we
can until our arms are in a field goal position and then we're going to reach up or towards the
sky, again holding this for five seconds, relaxing and then repeating this five times. This is
a great exercise to do throughout the day.
