[Music] welcome to this guide on the Bell method this is a real-time exercise for managing stress if you have found yourself here today you may be experiencing a period of stress or uncertainty in your life perhaps your mind feels scattered your body tense or your emotions overwhelming in these moments it can be difficult to find Clarity and calm the Bell method of breathe expand look and listen offers a simple yet effective way to reset ground yourself and reconnect with the present moment this exercise is designed to be done in real time whenever you need a pause a moment of awareness or a way to step out of stress and into clarity let's begin we're going to start with the breath when stress takes hold your breath can be your anchor the simple Act of mindful breathing can help you regain control and find calm in the present moment the breath is the first tool for grounding yourself take a slow deep breath in through your nose filling your lungs completely hold for a moment and then exhale slowly through your mouth repeat this two more times allowing your breath to settle into a natural steady rhythm with each exhale release any tension you may be holding [Music] now we are going to expand once your breath is steady bring awareness to your body physical tension often mirrors emotional stress so taking a moment to adjust your posture and open up can create a sense of ease and balance if seated sit up straighter letting your shoulders relax and drop away from your ears if stand ing plant your feet firmly on the ground and feel the stability beneath you uncross your legs and arms allowing your body to open and release tension notice any areas of tightness or discomfort breathe into those areas letting them soften now we are going to look shift lift your attention outward ground Yourself by truly seeing what is around you observe details with intention to break the cycle of overwhelming thoughts and bring Clarity to the moment bring your attention to your surroundings and choose a single object to focus on pick something nearby a pen a coffee cup a book observe it closely as if you're seeing it for the very first time notice its shape its color texture shadows and details describe it silently to yourself what do you see that you might not have noticed before [Music] now we are going to listen and turn our Focus to the sounds around us listening deeply without judgment allows you to connect with the present in a new way it shifts your attention from internal stress to external awareness fostering a sense of calm close your eyes if it's comfortable or soften your gaze tune into the Sounds in your immediate surroundings identify what you hear the hum of a fan birds outside the window distant conversations or even silence allow each sound to come and go without judgment simply noticing [Music] them take a final deep breath in and exhale fully you are now more present grounded and aware the Bell method can be used any time you need to reset whether during a stressful moment before an important task or simply to bring mindfulness into your day by practicing breathe expand look and listen you train yourself to return to the present moment with ease and clarity you have the power to reset and find calm at any time thank you for joining me today I hope that this method will help you relax in the present and the future namaste [Music] [Music] [Music]
