What is Holistic Health?
One of the most common questions I’m asked in my travels around the world — especially at conferences — is what defines holistic health? The answer to this question is the real thrust of the teachings of the CHEK Institute all over the world.

“Holistic health is human life. A series of appointments and disappointments such as illness, traffic jams, storms, losses and breakups left to its own tend toward chaos or disorder. Holistic health practices — nutrition, hydration, sleep, breathing, effective thinking and movement — restore order. In the conscious creation of order, aging slows. Clarity emerges with empathy and compassion, and our capacity to love grows.”

hello this is Paul check welcome back to my video blog one of the most common questions I get asked in my travels around the world especially at conferences is what is holistic health so today I thought I would share an encapsulation that I wrote as a means of defining holistic health and hopefully it will help you understand holistic health and this is really the nature of the teachings of the entire Czech Institute worldwide so my encapsulation of what holistic health is human life a series of appointments and disappointments such as illness traffic jams storms losses and breakups left to its own tend towards chaos or disorder holistic health practices which include nutrition hydration sleep breathing effective thinking and movement restore order in the conscious creation of order aging slows clarity emerges with empathy and compassion and our capacity to love grows so really what I'm sharing here is what is holistic health and what is the product the product of it is that we gain more clarity more empathy and compassion because inevitably we learn a lot in restoring ourselves through the practices of nutrition hydration sleep breathing effective thinking which is dream affirmative thinking and movement we come into harmony with the natural cycles of life such as getting to bed on time eating seasonally managing the flow of our energies so that we don't feel constantly stressed out and wound out and being more aware of the importance of sleeping in cycle with the Sun and the moon as I show in my book how do you move and be healthy and other things like not using caffeine or stimulants after about three o'clock in the afternoon which is sure to disrupt your sleep wake cycle and decrease your anabolic or growth and repair ability and much more and much more but really those that don't practice holistic health don't create holism or integration and those that do experience a higher level of integration and the process of going from relative disintegration to integration is one in which we heal and we recognize everything that we heal in ourselves easily in others so we have empathy and compassion for them and by expressing empathy and compassion we're expressing a high form of love and as that process continues you begin to realize yourself as one with the world and then you have empathy and compassion for all living beings and you naturally realize that your life is a gift all of those who are less aware than you and you can be the silent teacher in the silent lover and know that by loving and caring for yourself so that you have something to share in relationships you can contribute effectively to the world and that's really the mission of the Czech Institute so thank you for joining me today enjoy your journey into holistic health i'm paul check you

Have you tried Brazilian Ji Jitsu? Literally never felt better ever than when finishing a ji jitsu session. I lift heavy and that makes you feel amazing, but after Ji Jitsu you feel so in the moment its crazy, nothing could annoy you, and your head is clear as day. Is this due to the constant focus on technique (so you're focusing on the moment) or is it your fight or flight kicking in? You look at bears, monkeys and other animals, and they toy fight and roll about with eachother, i think thats just a natural thing for us to do, and probably explains why you feel amazing after it
