[Music] good morning everyone so the first thing I do as soon as my alarm goes off is I open my blinds to get some light in my eyeballs this regulates your circadian rhythm and has a bunch of other benefits this day though it was actually super cloudy and gloomy when I woke up so there was literally no sun but me and my cat Pika vibed [Music] anyway when I am afraid I put my trust in you then you [Music] thought so I always make my bed every morning it's such a simple way to set the tone for the rest of my day because it gives me a small sense of accomplishment afterwards I Chang into my gym clothes that I laid the night before then I go make my warm lemon water that I have every morning to Kickstart My digestion and get things moving if you know what I mean I also like to add salt to help replenish electrolytes and hydrates good morning everyone welcome back to my channel another day another blog so we're starting off my morning with of course my lemon water welcome to my morning routine if you want to start having a healthy morning routine start some new healthy habits this video is perfect for you anyone that knows me knows that that I'm a huge routine person and I wasn't always like that before I used to not have any sort of morning routine or routines in general but I've like trained myself to really love it so yeah some of the habits that I share that I do if you want you can start to implement them into your lifestyle too and I feel like some people think that morning routines have to be like 2 3 hours long no for me it's just worth it waking up that 30 minutes to an hour earlier just to have peace and quiet and time to myself to fill my own cup I am going to hit the gym this morning but first we're going to make some Brey [Music] breakfast is served super quick high protein breakfast got an egg scramble with spinach and tomatoes and half an avocado I'm also going to add this Primal Kitchen Buffalo sauce I like to actually add it on my avocado oops okay I lowkey put a lot right now I'm just listening to this like morning prayer that I found on YouTube sometimes I'll do an Audi book podcast basically anything that's just productive for my brain and and doesn't have me like physically scrolling because spending hours scrolling through your phone is the worst way to start your morning trust me I know from [Music] experience I'm about to do some quick journaling I know in my last Vlog I told you guys I'm on a coffee cleanse um that didn't last very long I did take a break from coffee for like about 3 weeks which that is a big feat for me because I was drinking coffee every single day sometimes multiple times a day so yeah we love the growth I only drink half a cup of coffee now if you're wondering what Journal I'm using it's actually actually my own journal yes your girl came out with her own journal this is called the day-by-day journal isn't she gorgeous guys this is my baby right here the real ones already know I love daily journaling I started daily journaling 5 years ago back when I was really struggling with my mental health I'm feeling insecure all the time unhappy all the time journaling is such a small but powerful way to prioritize yourself your well-being get to know yourself a bunch of you already guessed that I've been working on a prompted Journal because y'all are just so smart since I've always actually do this a lot to get stuff done I tell myself I'm going to go treat myself to some lunch or my favorite beverage but only if I get the chore that I need to get done done auto [Music] mode stop working so fun fact since I have super long hair and I have a cat I literally vacuum almost every single day and I actually recently upgraded to this new big girl vacuum it's actually a wet dry [Music] all righty you guys I'm about to cook some dinden tonight so on today's menu we actually have yet another Tik Tok recipe you guys already know I find most of my healthy recipes from Tik Tok look at this one does that not look delicious it's basically air fried salmon with garlic mashed cauliflower so instead of mashed potatoes it's made out of cauliflower so yeah let's Chef it up together [Music] and then I was like oh my God [Music] nah [Music] [Applause] so we got a whole vibe going on the candles the lighting I even got my sleepy girl mocktail on Deck but yeah I figured before I head to bed we could have a little bit of a pep talk motivational girls talk I get a lot of questions on how I have a morning routine how I wake up early how to be consistent how to be motivated and listen as someone who used to struggle with discipline I got you like when I first started my self-help Journey like 5 years ago I'm telling you guys I was the least disciplined person ever like I was struggling to pass my classes I was struggling to make friends I was struggling with my weight when I was 19 most days I was struggling to even get out of bed okay and there were some days where my depression was so bad I didn't even brush my teeth so to go from that type of person to who I am now like I don't even recognize who my past self was and I genuinely owe a lot of that change from having a morning routine cuz all those healthy habits in the morning and having discipline and getting myself up every morning and doing what I had to do regardless of how I felt that added up and built me over time so I'm going to pretend I'm talking to 19-year-old Lena right now everything know about self-help and routines I'm going to share with you guys because I love you guys so listen how you start your day will determine how the rest of your day will go and I am willing to die on that Hill there's a quote that goes how you do one thing is how you do everything so if you're starting every single morning immediately grabbing your phone scrolling on Tik Tok scrolling on Instagram seeing what everyone's up to looking at the stories rolling out of bed at whatever time going to Starbucks getting a mocha Frappuccino vanilla latte chugging that going to school going to work and just literally being like a zombie just going through your day and then one wonder why you feel like crap throughout your day you're doing it to yourself babes and I'm calling you out because this was me too and I needed to be called out too so there's genuinely no judgment here but I'm just letting you know that if you don't already have a morning routine what are you doing what are you doing and also if you're not subscribed already what are you doing yeah when I first started working out when I first started going to college when I first started posting on YouTube I didn't know anything about discipline but that's why these little things like your morning routine matters and I am not saying I do not have mornings where I wake up and I'm just scrolling through my phone I stay in bed another hour or two cutle with Pika but 100% of the time I do that the rest of my day is usually crap the secret to sticking to any habit is making it as easy as possible for you to do so what I mean by that is literally get rid of any obstacles in the way of you getting it done so for example this morning you guys saw I drink my warm salted lemon water every single morning for my digestion and to replenish electrolytes and instead of morning of getting the lemon out washing it putting on The Cutting Board cutting it putting it in the water I literally get rid of all those obstacles that might potenti make me not want to do it by prepping my lemons the night before or a few days before so it's already cut up ready for me in the fridge so boom I just pop it out pop it in my water good to go another example if I'm going to the gym in the morning I always always always have my gym clothes ready the night before waiting for me on my dresser so that way when I wake up I don't even have to think about it I just throw it on and I get my butt to the gym you have to make it as easy as you can for yourself to stick to the healthy habits that you want to do and this goes the opposite direction for bad habits let's say you have a bad habit of scrolling through your phone before you're supposed to be going to bed talking to myself it's gone to the point where I literally charge my phone in my kitchen like it's not even in my room cuz if I know it's in my room at night when I'm lying in bed comfy in my covers and I see my phone I'm going to grab her and I'm going to scroll through her and then all of a sudden it's 2:00 in the morning and I have to wake up in a few hours and I'm stressed out so now that I charge my phone in my kitchen when I'm comfortable in my PJs in my covers I am way too lazy to get up and go to my kitchen to grab my phone out of my charger good habits make it as easy as possible and bad habits put as many obstacles as you can to prevent yourself from continuing those bad habits another tip that really helped me is the reward system like earlier today I vacuumed and clean all my flors before heading out to treat myself to lunch like I love prizes who doesn't love prizes even P loves prizes she loves her treats I know it sounds kind of childish but this is how we all work okay I will literally tell myself if I clean my floors I will treat myself to my favorite sandwich at Joe and the juice now for the waking up early part listen I get it okay especially when I was in college I remember when I was working part-time and going to school full-time and trying to start posting on YouTube I would wake up at 5: in the morning to get a workout in at the gym how I did that currently linaa doesn't know I'm just kidding you guys probably wouldn't believe me that before that version of me that was waking up at 5:00 a.m. a few months ago before that I was waking up at 11: 12:00 p.m. like consistently yeah if I can start to wake up early you can wake up early for this you want to set alarms okay I'm kind of a light sleeper so I like to wake up to like homing like birds or flutes but if you're a heavy sleeper blast that loud alarm sound okay do what you got to do also I call this the 321 method and you know when you wake up and you're you're just so comfortable and like your alarm goes off but you're like H not today I do not want to do this today literally count in your head 3 2 1 and rip your covers off just like don't even think about it don't let yourself even process okay just rip your covers off and get up it's kind of like going into a cold plunge like you just jump in the initial part sucks but once you get past that you're good to go and quick disclaimer you do not have to wake up at the ass crack of dawn for you to have a morning routine okay as long as you are setting aside like 20 minutes 30 minutes whatever for yourself and to have some sort of routine that's all that matters and reminder if you want to start your journaling Journey or you're a journaler like me you can sign up for the wait list
