AUDREY: AS THE KIDS GO BACK TO SCHOOL, THERE'S ALWAYS AN ADJUSTMENT PERIOD AS FAMILIES GET BACK INTO THEIR ROUTINES.% THAT'S WHY TIME MANAGEMENT IS SO IMPORTANT FOR GETTING A GRASP ON ALL THE CHANGING SCHEDULES YOU MAY BE EXPERIENCING, SO YOU DON'T BURN OUT. BUT HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU HEAR YOURSELF GO, I WISH I HAD MORE TIME TODAY? WE HAVE 24 HOURS. 86,400 SECONDS. THAT IS NOT MUCH WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT. IT REQUIRES A LOT OF SELF ANALYSIS, PLANNING, SELF-CONTROL AND THE SETTING OF BOUNDARIES FOR YOURSELF AND OTHERS. THOSE ARE ALL THINGS WE START WITH WHEN WE WORK WITH TIME MANAGEMENT. MYSELF SPECIFICALLY. WHAT ARE YOUR MISSION-CRITICAL ITEMS DAY TODAY, WEEK TO WEEK, MONTH TO MONTH? WHERE DO THEY FALL IN YOUR SCHEDULE. THAT GOES FOR KIDS TO ADULTS. ALWAYS CONSIDERING THAT SELF-CARE IS A MISSION-CRITICAL ITEM. THINKING ABOUT WHAT TIME OF DAY ARE YOU MOST PRODUCTIVE? WHEN DO YOU HAVE THE MOST ENERGY AND CAN NAIL THE CRITICAL TASKS? WHERE DO YOU NEED MORE CALM TIME, MAYBE SOMETHING THAT IS IMPORTANT GET DONE — IS NOT AS IMPORTANT GET DONE? SOME PEOPLE ARE MORNING PEOPLE, SOME PEOPLE ARE EVENING PEOPLE. CAPITALIZE ON THAT TIME. CHECK OUT WHERE YOUR TIME IS DEVOTED THE MOST. SCHOOL, WORK, FAMILY. DIVIDE THAT AND DEDICATE THOSE TIMES. I LEFT A COLOR CODE, I ENCOURAGE CLIENTS TO DO THE SAME. IT HELPS OUR BRAIN DISTINGUISH WHAT GOES WITH WHAT, WHETHER IT IS PERSONAL OR WORK. WE CAN SOMETIMES GLANCE AT HER SCHEDULE IN GET A FEEL FOR WHAT THE DAY IS GOING TO BE LIKE. IT DIRECTLY IMPACTS OUR SENSE OF URGENCY, WHICH THEN INCREASES OUR CORTISOL LEVEL AND STRESS. PUTS US AT RISK FOR ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION, ALL THESE THINGS. WHEN WE FEEL STRETCHED AND ARE NOT MANAGING OUR TIME WILL, IT CREATES CLUTTER IN OUR MINDS. IT TYPICALLY CREATES CLUTTER IN OUR HOUSE, IT IS A VICIOUS CYCLE. YOU ARE CLULUTTERED AND STRESS D CANNOT GET YOUR FEET ON THE GROUND. THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT, I KNOW IT IS CLICHE, SO WE BLOW IT OFF. WE THINK, WE CANNOT MANAGE OUR TIME, WE ARE SO BUSY WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO MANAGE OUR TIME. BUT IF YOU TAKE SUNDAY AFTERNOONS, THAT IS WHAT I CHOOSE, TO OUTLINE WHAT YOUR WEEK IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE. MAYBE YOU DO IT SEASON TO SEASON. MAYBE YOU IMPLEMENT WHITEBOARDS AND VIRTUAL PLANNERS, NOTE APPS. DELEGATION IS IMPORTANT. SIMPLIFYING YOUR SCHEDULE, YOUR HOME. DECREASING CLUTTER, CREATING SYSTEMS AND STRATEGIES. PROTOCOLS THEY SOMETIMES CALL THEM, TO GET FROM ONE PLACE TO THE NEXT. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP. ASK YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR FAMILY. DEVELOP A CARPOOL. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO USE A BABYSITTER OR NANNY. GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK. TRY TO CUT BACK OR YOU CAN AND PUT YOUR ENERGY WHERE IT MATTERS THE MOST. — WHERE YOU CAN. MEET WITH A LIFE COACH, SHOW THEM YOUR SCHEDULE. THAT CAN BE HELPFUL, I DO THAT WITH CLIENTS ALL THE TIME.
