Exercise For Longevity: Top 4 Things I’ve Learned
I've been training my mom for 6 plus years she's 70 but has the mobility of a much younger person here's what she does one resist from the ground this is her foundation sled or resisted treadmill fundamentally safe incredible circulation Powers up the legs nothing quite like it she's been obsessed with it for 6 years and will do it for life two stretch strength think yoga and lifting combined the atg split squat rescued her hips then we found her backside was weak and stiff she has even more gains ahead of her youth flexibility adulthood strength aging loss of both three seems obvious looking back but had never been done with many of the exercises she loves we can do all the same exercises example nordics were never broadly used outside of young athletes yet they're one of her favorite exercises four lack of Mobility equipment is not a full stop but is the most common barrier my mom used a stairwell to make progress on her atg split squat but my dad only likes it now that we made a dedicated Mobility box gyms do not have much Mobility equipment this needs changed

Thank you Momma. You taught me to measure my worth by how much I help OTHER people. I didn’t get it at the time but I wanted to be like you. Now I get it. Thank you for being the best mom (and now “Nana” to my kids) that I could have ever asked for. ❤️

I believe the knowledge should be free.

THANK YOU for making this possible!
Starting these movements in the pool has really helped me. Doing spit squat / lunges as the forward walk is amazing. Bone spurs in the feet, bunions, hammer toes, 3 surgeries in the knees make a difficult starting point but the pool has made it possible. Beginning this way gets the range of motion and form right too. Now I am starting to drag a tire around the yard pushing and pulling waving at my neighbors LOL. Thanks Ben
I wann help my mom too! 😢 HOW!! do you have an online workout course?
65 yr want this for myself: been backwards walking for months: more stability going downstairs
Love this!!!!! Props to you and your mom!
This stuff is real and has meaningful results for ALL age groups. My mom is almost 60, I’m in my 30s and my brothers kid is 13. All of us, mostly my mom cant believe direct daily impact a few months on consistency has made using these techniques. You’re a hero man seriously

I’ve been dealing with knee pain ever since I messed up my patella just over a year ago. I went from being very active and very flexible to all of a sudden not being able to bend my right knee almost at all. It was very disappointing. For the past eight months now, I’ve been actively trying to work out and Have been in constant pain. I decided to join the military, and I already know they are gonna be tough on my joints, especially for running and all the exercises they have you do. Something had to give so I remember my brother trying this years ago when he was powerlifting and he said it helped a lot with mobility. I thought because I had popped my patella that my running days were over. I thought the past year of my life was just going to be the rest of my life living with knee pain. It still hurts a little bit, but I have only been doing the program now For about a week. I noticed immediate results the next day. I did one workout with sled pools mixed with a series of weighted stretches.. The very next day I squatted ass to grass for the first time in a year. I actually got scared for a second and forced myself to the left side because I thought it was going to hurt, and then I slowly realized the majority of my pain was gone as I shifted more towards the right side. Not only that, but before I even have the knee injury I always squatted moving my rear end slightly towards my left knee and I noticed now that my squat seems to be more parallel. It’s so crazy to explain that a year worth of mobility issues almost disappeared within a week. I am honestly dumbfounded still. Although it was pretty slow after only four days and I ran a mile in 12 minutes for the first time in over a year.
Hi Patrick and thank you for your wonderful program. I have been doing atg for the past three years and it has helped me tremendously! Are these exercises suitable for someone who has a torn medial meniscus?? Thanks

i like that small treadmill.. i wonder what a good brand is…
I’m 41 and notice i am already stiff and sore. I need to do this
So nobody has commnted on the fact he is squatting with flat feet 😮😮😮😮😮🦵💪💪
Okay but… Im late 30s and havent managed to consistently exercise as an adult. Is it too late?
I do ddpy for a yoga/strength routine once a week or so. It helps loosen me up as I do weightlifting and body weight exercises
She runs like 40+!
Yoga mentors warned me off lifting ,after a trauma injury to my ribs I’ve been losing strength and interest. Been using resistance training and much improved.💪🏻
How to do some of these at home – the sled for example.
I've only been regularly going to my dojo for the past year or so, and I am easily 2-4x more flexible than I was.
For reference, I'm a 350lb dude, so I don't have much room TOO be flexible, BUT: I am not stiff anymore. Sometimes sore yes, but never stiff.
People don't understand how important mobility is. It's crazy. My Sensei has been training in Martial Arts for 40+ years and he only looks 40. He's 52.

Thank you so much for the information. If I may for those that read comments, there may not be many DEDICATED mobility machines in gym, however a little less imagination goes a long way. For instance, ATG splits can be done on a powered down stairmaster; you get the height to really sit into the stretch and the support needed (IF NEEDED) by the handrails. But, then back somewhat to the original point… that’s if the gym has a stairmaster. 😅
I find trash dump parcels of land, neglected, and clean em up. Spending a month each just squatting and lunging to pick up trash. Moving dead brush, trees limbs, cleaning the spot to be a sit spot to look at the nature beauty. Maybe a hidden waterfall, or mountain view..
Love this
That is so true I have mobility issues and I would like to get better
He finally convinced me
Well I need to get my dad into your channel
He has BAD knees and wants to get in shape again but he’s heavier and his body hurts
