Hi Everyone and welcome to Melissa’s Mental Health Minute. My name is Melissa Manzi and I am the college mental health counselor. Today, I want to talk to you about time management, which might not seem to have anything to do with mental health but it is the number one stressor of college students. If you can master time management you will be a far happier person.
I recommend starting by tracking your time and finding out where your time wasters are. For example, if you meant to go on social media for 20 minutes and three hours later you’re still on and you needed that time to complete homework, you might need to schedule social media and use your phone’s timer to set your limits. On the academic support center’s website is an excellent resource specifically for time management skills. Take a look at it, review it, there are great tools on it.
Don’t let time manage you, learn how to manage your time you’ll be far more productive and a lot less stressed. And that’s Melissa’s Mental Health Minute. Stay safe, stay healthy, and make it a great day.
