More Sleep Hygiene Tips with Autonomic Conditions! #pots #dysautonomia #concussion #headinjury

Effective sleep hygiene involves establishing a consistent sleep schedule by going to bed and waking up at the same time daily. To combat difficulties in falling asleep earlier, it's recommended to wake up at a set time and gradually adjust bedtime. Creating a conducive sleep environment is also essential; this includes putting away electronic devices, particularly phones, at least 30 minutes before bedtime and keeping them out of the bedroom to minimize distractions and exposure to blue light.

we're in sleep hygiene let's think about a couple things number one you got to be regular bed same time wake up same time one tip is if you're having a hard time getting to bed earlier so some people especially brain injury will just drift their bedtime later and later and later and the way that you solve for that is you have to start waking up at the same time so you set an alarm do whatever you got to do have your partner kick you the trick is to get up at the same time and then be willing to go to bed a little bit earlier okay so that's number one then we come down to if we're looking at sleep hygiene now we have to like take care of our little you know safe space around bedtime you got to put the phone down at least 30 minutes before you go to bed and then don't look at it in the middle of the night take the phone put it away so it should be in a different room that you're sleeping in but super important not just for the light but also you don't need that next to your head while you're trying to sleep you need to get away from that magnet

  1. Any suggestions to help with good sleep hygiene for those who work different shift patterns? Such as 6am work then another day 2pm work, other than changing job?😅

  2. Ur eyes are so blue wowo. So beautiful doctor 🖤

  3. I played football and have been hit in the head a lot. I also have had shoulder back knee surgery foot surgery both hands. And they were looking to do when it gets bad enough lower back and neck surgery possibly. Can all of that lead into something like this? Because I have a terrible time falling asleep. And cannot do it when it’s silent in the house, because the latest thing wakes me up. But I will sit there and just stare at the ceiling.

  4. Watching this at 2 am oops. I do know what you’re saying some nights I just care less?

  5. Thanks for your insight!!

  6. This guy has nice eyes. He has eyes like Nate Bargatze.

  7. Get away from that magnet.
    I believe that.
A neurology surgeon told our family that no one is able to rule out definitively that EMFs and RFs from cell phones and non-digital dental xrays produce brain tumors.
    Glioblastoma, meningioma, acoustic neuroma, etc.

  8. Most people use their phones for alarms

  9. This guy once appeared in my condo trying to steal my feet

  10. I have a newborn and a 14 month old.
Drifting bedtime later (to do dishes and laundry) check

  15. Totally agree, the big one for me was waking up around the same time. It’s like an invisible magnet that holds me down in bed and I know the longer I stay in bed in the morning the worse my A.M. is. I like you, you give solid advice. ✌️and God bless you and family.

  16. Can you add some more color on your last point about sleeping a far distance away from your phone in regards to the magnetic exposure?

  17. I woke up in the middle of the night and this popped up

  18. Yeahhh my menopause induced insomnia laughs at all “advice for getting sleep”, I wish I could sleep, I average 1 – 3 hours of nap a day and sometimes I go 2 – 4 days without sleep at all, this has been going on since 2018 and I’m beyond done with this bs and I’ve literally tried absolutely everything I can safely try to get to sleep, I give the fck up.
