I started intermittent fasting 24 hours once a week. At first it's hard but I slowly use to it now and it's not difficult anymore
I fast at least 17 hours every day of the week. Isn't that ok? I feel fine. Doesn't seem to affect gout, and my BP is better than it has been in 10 years.
That why doctors said don't make one meal fasting always ,but 2-4 times a week..then return 8:16 fasting and jump to 3 meals a day..this will fire your metabolism without harm your self

On a 5 day fast at moment OK I have done this fasting lots of times and I know how I feel and the things I do to get me through and as I write this I feel unbelievable clear head thoughts feeling lighter more energy and sleeping better . In my extensive experience with fasting over many decades: Fasting is an individual endeavor. Fasting clears the mind and sharpens the senses. It also gives the overburdened liver and kidneys a break. But this does not occur within 24 hours. Nothing substantial is accomplished in less than 60 hours. However it is a good practice to acclimate oneself psychologically with trial 24 hour fasting in order to gear up for that 3-day starter, and then 7-day and longer, regular fasts. Most people who fast develop their own rhythms. Fasting is not a weight loss gimmick.

I just ordered your book. For about a month and a half now… Never fasted before this. Lost 6 pounds. Would like to lose another 8 ish . I did notice that it's slow to lose these days could be age related at 59. Does medication affect how long you can fast.. find the longest I can do it for is 2pm to 8 eating window.. as I start to feel off. I also started the Apple cider in the morning.. Last night I added some cider evenings. I do not ready refined carbs unless I'm out at events which is not often.
I normally do 16-8 Intermittent Fasting, not see any drastic weight loss. I am going to try the ADF together with the IF.

Just water no electrolytes etc or is that for a longer fast. Also What about if I want to do this as I'm coming of weed is this a terrible time to do it do you think? I'm a heavy smoker for 15 years so the detox from THC might be enough. Any advice would be appreciated 👍

24 hrs complete, right now. Now on my first hour en route to 48 hrs… if all goes fine…will go to 72… first time ever after several years doing OMD (21 hrs every other day)

Just get to the point of doing 16-18 hour fasts daily. Do 18 often and 20 becomes easy. Next thing you know you’re doing 24 hour fasts without effort! I just did 6 this month!
