Se Dnem Otců, který nám připomíná, jak moc se staráme o naše tatínky, jsme se rozhodli podívat na téma týkající se mužů. Rakovina prostaty je druhá nejčastější smrtelná rakovina u mužů a to jak v USA, tak ve Velké Británii. Prostata je součástí mužského pohlavního ústrojí a je zodpovědná za tvorbu semenné kapaliny která, jak se ukazuje, je částečně zodpovědná za… uhodli jste. Vaše zrození a stejně tak všech ostatních ale s časem a věkem se buňky prostaty, jako jakékoliv jiné, mohou stávat defektními, což vede k rakovině. Naše tělo a vše v něm, včetně prostaty, se skládá z buněk normální chování buněk v průběhu životního cyklu je růst a dělit se mitózou ale místo aby nekontrolovatelně množily, jsou zde nesčíselná opatření, která mají zajistit, že buňky jsou zdravé, normálně funkční a dělí se v kontrolovaném množství. Například buňky nejen dostávají růstové signály, ale dostávají také protirůstové signály, které jim říkají, že mají přestat růst. Navíc zdravé buňky mají pouze omezenou možnost dělení, což znamená že čím více se dělí tím menší šanci mají, že se budou znovu dělit. Nakonec se obecně umístí v nějakém místě v těle a potřebují angiogenezi (vytvoření kapilár) či vytvoření cév, aby se udržely naživu a získávaly živiny. Posuňte takovou buňku dále od cévy a nedokáže přežít. Jakákoliv buňka, která se neřídí těmito pravidly a která je stará a opotřebovaná, je odstraněna procesem zvaným apoptóza. Apoptóza je kontrolované zničení buňky tělem (tzn. programovaná smrt). Ale sem a tam se může objevit mutace či chyba, která změní vlastnosti buňky. Například, může se stát, že v nějaké generaci začne ignorovat signály blokující růst. Později jedna další buňka v dalších generacích může opět zmutovat a být schopná se tak vyhnout apoptóze. Tato mutace je náhodná a může nastat s určitou pravděpodobností, ale kombinace trochu toho a toho, nakonec, vede k rychle rostoucí, nekontrolovaně se dělící, nesmrtelné mase buněk. Také známé jako rakovina. Což vysvětluje, proč je pravděpodobnější dostat rakovinu prostaty v pozdějším věku, protože vaše buňky měly mnoho šancí posbírat vícero mutací skrz mnoho generací. Toto je jeden z důvodů, proč 80% mužů dostane rakovinu prostaty do 80 let. Takže je tu něco, co s tím můžeme dělat? Něco ano. Když se podíváme na Asii, zjistíme, že má nejmenší výskyt rakoviny prostaty na Zemi. Takže si myslíme, že je genetická, a mnoho studií to podporuje. Ale asijští muži, kteří se přestěhovali do USA vykazují větší výskyt rakoviny prostaty než ti v Asii a to úměrně času, který strávili v USA. Navíc, děti asiatů narozené v USA vykazuje prakticky stejný výskyt rakoviny prostaty jako děti europoidní rasy narozené v USA. Toto jasně ukazuje, že některé z faktorů musí odpovídat stravě a životnímu stylu. Některé studie ukazují, že potraviny jako sója, rajčata a ryby mohou být částečně zodpovědné za nižší výskyt této choroby ačkoliv o tom stále probíhá diskuze. Tato jídla, stejně jako některé chemikálie a léky mají všechny vlastnosti, které mohou pomáhat normální regulaci buněk nebo zabránit poškození buněk a mutaci. Na druhou stranu, tučná jídla byla označena jako potenciální viník mnoha rakovin. Nakonec, ačkoliv je tu stále nejistota kolem rakoviny prostaty a i toho jak jí zabránit a léčit ji – vzdělání a pochopení jsou velice hodnotné. Takže místo toho dát svému tatínkovi pohled na Den Otců vezmi rajče do jedné ruky, nějakou sóju do druhé a dejte mu ten největší dárek: vědomosti. Protože čím více lidí bude žít zdravě a aktivně tím lépe nám bude a čím více budeme myslet jak naše vědomá rozhodnutí ovlivní naše životy dnes i v budoucnu tím vyšší bude kvalita našeho života. Since you're teaching you should know it's not random and doesn't happen by chance. There are very particular reasons it happens and it doesn't start with mutations. It starts with chronic low grade inflammation and hypoxia. Give Dad the power to take control of his health and don't just tell him it's a random thing out of his control. Tell him to make healthy diet and lifestyle changes to take control. Changes such as exercise, add olive oil to his daily diet, reduce his sugar and carb intake, ect. Maybe have him listen to a podcast with Dr. Seyfried, or Dr. Rhonda Patrick etc. instead of repeating the somatic mutation theory from wikipedia or your insurance company sponsored incorrect med school text books. Something that drives my point home further is what you said in the video where men from Asia and more eastern countries have lesser rates of prostate cancer. Keep in mind that those countries are heavily religious and forbid masturbation and sexual immorality while if you live in the U.S., these rates are up. This is because their diets involve good saturated fat, healthy carbs, and high quality meats. Their lifestyles also involve abstinence. Yet they have the lowest risk of prostate cancer.
Remember, masturbation does not reduce prostate cancer. In fact, it will lead to it.

Saying that spilling your seed will reduce prostate cancer is like saying using birth control lowers your risk of ovarian cancer. Both are false statements and doing both of these things will actually harm these glands.

While I appreciate you giving multiple sources to validate your research, all sources date from before 2000 (edit: two are from 2008) making them inaccurate compared to today. prostate cancer is less than 10% for people above 60, not 80% and practically non existant for people under 40

This is a warning to all prostate cancer sufferers. I was diagnosed with invasive prostate cancer in 2016. I was given 3 options for the cancer and the best treatment option was given to me. The options were removal, radiotherapy, or brachytherapy, which if chosen would set me back personally around USD 15,000.
