what exactly is Homeopathy does it work and what does the science [Music] say Homeopathy is a system of alternative medicine created in the late 18th century by the German Doctor Samuel hanaman there are three basic principles of Homeopathy the first is that like cures like that a substance taken in small amounts will cure the same symptoms it causes if it were taken in larger amounts so for example if you're having trouble sleeping then taking a stimulant like caffeine will help the second dilution is perhaps the most well-known aspect of Homeopathy The Chosen substance is repeatedly diluted in alcohol or distilled water until very little or none of the original substance is left according to homeopaths this makes the substance more powerful or gives the substance a higher potency the third principle cussion describes the method of vigorously shaking the substance each time it is diluted this shaking is supposed to help the water retain the memory or vibrations of the original substance during the dilution process let's look at each of these a bit more closely the first principle that like cures like was based on hanan's own observation reflection and experience however there is no scientific evidence to support or back up this claim the second principle dilution is perhaps the most problematic the typical homeopathic dilution is 30 C this means that the original substance has been diluted by one drop in 100 30 times over or to put it another way a dilution of 1 in 10 the 60th this is one part per million million million million million million million million million million in comparison there are only around this this many molecules of water in an olympic size swimming pool a 30C dilution would be the equivalent of one molecule of substance in a sphere of water with a diameter of 150 million km which happens to be the distance from the Earth to the sun some homeopathic remedies have a dilution of 200 C which is more than the total amount of atoms in the universe how do homeopaths respond to these criticisms this is where the third principle comes in succussion they argue that the vigorous shaking and striking of the substance on an elastic or lever surface not only makes it more potent also allows the water to retain a memory of the original substance while it is true that water molecules will form structures around a molecule dissolved in them at room temperature the everyday random motion of water molecules means that these structures are very shortlived with lifetimes measured in Pico seconds or even less this is further problematic when you consider that any water will have been in contact with millions of different substances throughout its history how does the water forget these substances but remember only the homeopathic one despite all this homeopathic medicine is incredibly popular today with many people claiming that it has helped cure them of some illness this can be explained by a number of things such as the placebo effect regression to the mean or simply the body naturally healing itself over time but what does the science say the 200 5 metaanalysis of 110 Placebo controlled Homeopathy trials concluded that Homeopathy performs no better than Placebo the American Medical Association the UK's National Health Service and the national health and medical research Council of Australia have all issued statements that there is no good quality evidence that Homeopathy is effective as a treatment for any health condition thanks for watching if you enjoyed this video and want to learn about other examples of dodgy science then check out the book bad science by Ben goldacre I'll leave a link down in the description if you want to help support this channel then you can subscribe by clicking here and you can check out my previous video on Achilles in the toris by clicking here see you next time

Since the video is telling us to "trust their science", it means it obviously works. Why make a video proclaiming homeopathy to be dodgy science? Personally, my mother, a nurse, introduced me to homeopathy when my babies were born. Used it for my colicky ones, and it worked instantly. The same on our farm. Our animals didn't know it was just a placebo effect. Homeopathic phosphorus saved our dog from bleeding to death and brought animals out of shock. As for my house, we will continue trusting homeopathy. 😊

This video is prob funded by big pharma. Homeopathic medicine had cured things for me that conventional medicine couldn’t. It literally has worked so well for me compared to conventional medicine. So many lies being spread. It literally cures the problem. But big pharma would lose all their customers if everyone used homeopathics.
Regrettably the Canadian government has decided that in order to regulate homeopathic products, they must approve their use. So thousands of homeopathic products have been rubber-stamped by Health Canada.
Personally I'd love to see homeopaths take a dozen "remedies" with the labels torn off and sort them back out. They wouldn't be able to of course, as it's all complete baloney!

But what about the actual substance itself? When you look at the ingredients in anything homeopathic there are like ten ingredients I’ve never heard of.. and are in most homeopathic products.. what are they?
If homeopathic has a placebo effect then how does it work so well with babies. Nelson teething granules and helios ABC is a popular remedy for teething symptoms. It was the only thing that worked on my baby.

Homeopathy makes wonders….When you don't get cured, it is because of improper analysis of the doctor and not the whole homeopathic system. And people talking about placebo effect, The white pills used for giving medicines is empty, but medicinal dilutions prepared using alcohol are added to the empty pills, so they DO cure patients. To those asking for scientific proofs, why does science top homeopathy? Why is space and its planets are being respected even though science couldn't explain clearly about them, and homeopathy is degraded? Lets give science some time to improve and provide proof on how homeopathy cures people… Don't underestimate homeopathy before that!

I have used Homeopathic medicine for 50 years and it has always worked very well for me. However Homeopathic medicine has a protocol that has to be followed, such as do not take with Caffeine or Mint or other things like strong oils, which can cancel it.
I looked up Homeopathic medicine on Wikipedia and they say it is a Pseudo-Science, but then I am very much aware of some of the errors published on Wikipedia. I am a Metallurgist, Precious Metal Refiner and Assayer and I know my Elements very well and when I looked up info on Fe 60 on Wikipedia, it was easy for me to see many errors published by them. I wonder if they also do this in areas where I am not as knowledgeable??

If every person only knew the "truth" the world would be a different place. The mainstream medical system is only interested in making money. I was sick for 20 years and ended up praying to God since I could get no help at all from doctors. So this is what God's answer was for me.. He directed me to the truth where I discovered documentaries that explained to me how a disease called Lyme disease is responsible for many illnesses but due to financial incentives the vast majority of doctors will not or can not diagnose or treat Lyme disease due to rules laid out by the CDC. People like myself then live their lives very ill and in pain basically left to suffer and die from this bacterial infection. So then God directed me to a natropath and the natropath insisted that I try homeopathy for Lyme and babesia even though I had no faith homeopathy would work.. WELL NOW I'M ON MY WAY TO BEING CURED EVERY DAY I'M GETTING BETTER AND BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Meanwhile the medical system spreads lies and tries to BREAK people's faith and belief in any other medicine other than their toxic posion drugs so they remain chained to their disease and broke paying for perscriptions that cost mind boggling amounts! I'm the living PROOF that homeopathy works, their spreading lies to make people have no faith it will work, keeping people sick and chained.
