Actually, I have read ALL essential oils are dangerous fur cats because their livers can't metabolize the eo. Hydrosols are safer.
Tea tree is toxic to kids too but I've even see it in kids hair products. Educate yourself.

There are a lot of essential oils that actually have precursor chemicals to a lot of psychoactive stimulants. Take eugenol or vanillin (which can be turned into eugenol), or elemicin or myristicin (found in Parsley oil and Elmi essential oil) which can be turned into MMDA (not to be confused with MDMA, it’s methyl-methylenedioxyamphetamine, not methyldioxymethamphetamine)

I applied tea tree oil on my scalp and did it the wrong way, as a result my scalp burned and half of my hair fell out 😃 I had to see a dermatologist and use prescription ointments to heal. It took about a year to fully recover but luckily I healed well and most of it grew back
