today the experiment [Music] begins in our prior video me and Brandon went and had our testosterone checked and mine came in a little low now I mentioned in that video I felt good but I wanted to use this as an opportunity to feel great and there was a lot of really helpful comments in that video thank you very much so today as I mentioned I want to try and better myself and I'm going to start that with one of the most important but often neglected things that being food so I am just about to head to the grocery store I'm going to grab some of the best testosterone boosting foods naturally and I'm going to see what I can come up with and how much it's going to cost me trying to better ourselves physically and mentally is something that I think we can all aspire to no matter what the age but I do want to add that if you feel you have a real problem I would advise meeting with a doctor or medical professional as trying to self- diagnose and fix something really serious on your own is not the best idea me and Brandon always tried to do one really big video a year last year it was King Conan the year before that it was the secret it was a music video One of the most fun we've ever do let me ask you coming soon man [Music] yeah one thing I always suggest when going to the grocery store is making a list because not only does it make sure you don't forget anything you also don't end up purchasing a lot of things that maybe you'll regret later on so having said that we're going to stick with the foods that have been shown to possibly boost testosterone naturally and the first one and most proven of that being eggs whole eggs contain cholesterol a precursor for testosterone production and other essential nutrients like vitamin D and protein another really big one packed with protein and also healthy fats is going to be salmon it's rich in omega-3 fatty acids which study suggests might contribute to higher testosterone levels which today we're all about so that is perfect I'm also going to grab some avocados which contain a mineral called Boron studies indicate that Boron may be involved in testosterone metabolism within the body and might help prevent testosterone breakdown picking up some pumpkin seeds pumpkin seeds are rich in zinc a mineral that plays a vital role in testosterone production Studies have shown that zinc deficiency can be linked to lower testosterone levels so another really excellent choice here I am going to grab some milk this one is a little higher in protein and it also contains vitamin D now vitamin D deficiency has been linked to lower testosterone level so including good sources is important I grabbed one of my favorite greens that being spinach I use it for almost every meal breakfast lunch and dinner and it contains excellent sources of magnesium a mineral that once again may play a role in testosterone production but regardless it's still one of my favorite greens we got a lot of protein we've got a lot of fats now we're going to grab some black beans they're good source of plant-based protein and again zinc which of course can be beneficial for testosterone levels I'm also going to be picking up some pomegranates pomegranates are rich in antioxidants which may help reduce oxidative stress in the body which can be damaging to testosterone producing cells picking up another one of my all-time favorite greens that being broccoli broccoli may help regulate estrogen levels which can indirectly create a more favorable environment for testosterone and while I'm shopping I'm kind of set some rules for myself I'm going to try to stay away from anything processed um my original goal was anything wrapped in plastic as well but you know that's turning out to be pretty hard cuz a lot of stuff is wrapped in plastic but as I continue this experiment I want to try try and get better so I've got some plastic WRA stuff today but I'm really going to try to cut down on that the further this goes along and another thing I'm trying to stay away from is any that contains a label and what I mean by that is I'm going to try to stick with single ingredient Foods consuming these Foods isn't going to guarantee that my natural testosterone levels will rise but regardless really there's some of the best options out there and they're packed with all the great blends of proteins fat f with omega-3 really that bad of a deal in my opinion now it's time to take it home and whip up some recipes with this stuff the food is finished but the journey is just starting because I want to focus now on my time spent in the gym my quality of sleep managing my stress levels and abstaining from alcohol so look for that content in future episodes I'm really excited to go on this journey and if you can I just want to point out that many of the vitamins / minerals contained in the foods you bought here can be easily supplemented.
Vitamin D, magnesium, zinc and Omega-3s, for example, are very popular supplements. I supplement with most of these myself just for general health, independent of testosterone production. If you want to get them from food only, you will probably need to eat seriously large quantities of the foods you just bought in order to see visible effects.
