When it comes to clean and healthy eating, the first thing is the food should be clean. The next thing is it should be on time that is timely food, which comes under healthy eating. Many of the patients we see these days, they don’t eat on time. Some of them eat just because it is time and some of them eat irrespective of the hunger. They will not be hungry, but still they will be eating. So timely food, fresh food, clean food, and homely food. These are some of the points to be considered for clean and healthy eating. Clean and healthy eating has always been the scope of Ayurveda. These days there is increased use of refrigeration and simultaneously the microwave ovens. So this kind of food will definitely harm the body if it is taken on a longer run. so food should always be freshly prepared and it should be warm, preferably, it should be the homely food, prepared with lots of love and it will also help in good digestion. Apart from this healthy eating, the mindset of the person who is consuming the food is very important, he should be happy and he should always concentrate on the food when he is intake the food. The quantity of food should be a part, it should not be overeating or undereating. preferably the food should be taken by sitting, that is he should sit and eat the food, these days we see many of them standing and eating the food and they will be watching the TV or taking on the mobile or they will be chatting n the mobile and they will be having their food. So this kind of eating is not healthy eating or it is not clean eating. The food should be consumed with full dedication, and concentration , only on the food and on nothing else. It should be consumed with adequate speed, not too fast or not too slow. In short, it should be clean food taken at a clean place, with clean mind.

  10. Ayurvedic Principles of Food eating habits.
    1. Eat with normal speed: To properly chew the food for a proper digestion.
2.Eating on Time : Ayurveda has designed a whole regimen that describes the perfect time for having food based on the digestive fire in the body. So we should consume food on time.
3.Consumption of homemade food: Food prepared in home is far from contamination or any additives so it should be preferred above any other option.
4.Freshly prepared food : it is prescribed in Ayurveda to consume the food within 3 hours of its preparation otherwise it will be considered stale and unhealthy for the body.
5.Warm food : Food requires the digestive fire for the proper digestion so when the food is warm itself it will improve the digestion process.
    6. Eat with joy : Ayurveda just not focuses on the food but it states that the emotions and feeling of a person while eating also impacts the effect of the food. Food consumed with a good mind set is considered more beneficial.
6.Quantity : People tend to consume more when they find something delicious in their meal but it should be avoided as it could lead to digestive problems. Ayurveda prescribes to limit the consumption of food when you feel you are almost full.
7.Sit and eat : It is advised to eat while sitting to give a proper direction to the food through the elementary canal.
8.Concentration on food : food is a necessary element that nourishes our body and provides us with our healthy and balanced body along with the mind. So we should eat having a proper focus on what we are eating and how we are eating.
