and honestly everything worked out perfectly because my mother-in was actually in town this day so I was able to spend a whole day solely focused on filling my cup because transparently y'all I was feeling very very burnt out the holiday seasons are always very busy for me when it comes to work and just life in general and I needed a decompress I needed a day of doing the things that I know make me feel better make me feel filled you guys know I'm a hygiene girl so of course I started in the shower where I just did my full shower routine everything shaving body butters shower oils I even had like Eucalyptus in the shower it was so relaxing and I even put on a face mask which I have not done in so so long so if you've been feeling like you just need a second to breathe then I hope this video inspires you to do exactly that I know a lot of us wear so many different hats and we can feel so overwhelmed so doing something as small as taking 30 minutes out of your day and intentionally showing yourself some love can change your entire enire mood and your entire perspective I remember specifically after having my son just feeling so depleted and I was sitting in church in the back row I didn't want to be seen I was just like a total mess on the inside out and somebody came up to me and prophesied over me and said the Lord is literally going to refill you he said that he saw a vision of like a battery being at 0% but it was just recharging and he said that is what God is going to do for you he is going to recharge you and God is no favor of person so if he did it for me he can do it for you do you hear me girl so no matter what state your heart is what state your mind is what state your life is right now dependency on God is the only thing that is going to get you through literally been so long since I've done an indepth self-care day so my eye patches my lip scrub everything was coming out on today all the serums all the skin care I need everything okay I lit literally felt so good I had a podcast playing I was like I have missed this so much I even decided to shave my face which honestly left my face feeling so smooth my makeup applied so nice the next day my skin care really soaked into my skin so this is your sign to do derap plating to your skin they actually have derap plating razors it is not a traditional face razor it is actually a derap video is really just focus on slowing down and doing the things I know make me feel filled and just better honestly y'all I've been in a little bit of a rut I've just been feeling a bit overwhelmed and I have really been in need of a self-care day and as a mom self-care days are so so so important obviously it looks different for everybody like I said my kids are with their GG right now that's the only reason why I'm able to have a full self-care day but fitting selfcare in some way somehow is very important for all of my moms and speaking of motherhood and comfort I feel like these past couple years my body has been through so many different changes and we don't talk about this enough but bras why are they so uncomfortable I never understood that and I feel like they got even more uncomfortable as my body was changing because I had to change bra sizes I changed bra Styles and I still could never find something that just fit on my body and felt comfortable so as you guys saw in my word and worship and I just I didn't want to Worship in mess and in chaos so I wanted to get the kitchen together so girl if you've got some task that you know you've been needing to do then this is your sign to get up get it done I know you don't feel like doing it in the moment but once you start it's really not that bad your mind is always going to play tricks on you it's going to tell you that it's going to take longer than it actually will it's going to tell you that it's more overwhelming than it actually is but once you do it you're like why have I been putting this off for so long so I was so happy to get this space together get my home smelling good smelling fresh and and I actually just gotten this bottle washer not too long ago which is absolutely amazing I wish that I got this sooner because my son will literally be off of bottles within the next month but y'all this is the gift for moms okay we be trying to get the mom's pajamas and all that that's cool get her a bottle washer do you know how long it takes to wash bottles it's so amazing 10 10 [Music] [Music] and self-care looks different for every person self-care for someone may be going and taking a walk outside for another person it's a long hot shower I think knowing what actually fills you and makes you feel whole and makes you feel loved on is very important I am officially one year post partum and I can say that it has definitely been a roller coaster just up and down but it's okay like you have to extend yourself in a mount of Grace when it comes to being a mom especially those first couple of years so I learned so much but I wish that I could have just loved on myself a little bit more those first couple of months I was very hard on myself just wanted to get back to pre- Bab me and just put a lot of pressure on myself so now that I'm kind of in a clear state of mind I really have been intentional about loving and caring for myself and being intentional about my thoughts when it comes to myself you wouldn't let somebody else talk bad about you so why are you allowing you to talk bad about you and that's the realy [Music] self-care apart from Jesus will only leave you temporarily filled and one thing I found is when I Center myself care around the Lord when I allow his love his Joy his truth his words to fill me it always leaves me with a deep joy and peace that I can't find in the world so if you are in need of some real self-care some soul care then you already know what I'm going to say you need to go to your father because the skincare routine is only going to take you so far cleaning up your space is only going to take you so far Joy comes from the Lord happiness is something that we can find in Earthly things but it's also something that comes and goes but joy is something that we are blessed with as Believers in Christ so I was just sitting in Joy y'all just allowing the joy of the Lord to be my strength and to fill me and I'm currently in 1 Samuel and I've been learning so much just about obedience and the importance of obedience when it comes to walking out God's Will and God's plan for your life [Music] so I wanted to end this self-care day with some rest so I decided to get some snacks together I was going to have a solo movie night in my bed can I get an amen Girl the movie theaters is too much like I want to be in my bed rubbing my feet like I don't have time for the movie The if y'all have never tried this ice cream from Jenny's oh my goodness what are you doing this is literally the best ice cream in the world it was the perfect amount did y'all see it was meant for me to eat cuz it just filled my bowl perfectly I made some movie theater butter popcorn the only way to go and I had my snacks ready I was so excited y'all I have not laid in my bed during the day so long like child i' be working so I was so excited to just sit back kick back relax I turned on the chosen I wanted to rewatch this because it's been so long since I've tapped in so I wanted to restart the series and I genuinely just rested so I hope you guys can be inspired and motivated from this video no matter what mental state you're in no matter what you're going through in your life I pray that you find some form selfcare that helps to encourage you that helps to uplift you and helps you to continue to press on because you are so so
