Fix Your Slouching Posture!

If you're consistently trying to stand with straighter posture but slouch when you forget or get tired, try Wall Slides!

It's a simple way to improve shoulder mobility, strengthen our posterior chain, and stretch our anterior chain.

Note that there are many possible causes for poor posture. For example, you may have some muscular imbalances that require more condition-specific stretches. Wall slides may or may not help you with this.

However, learning to do this exercise with good form can work as a good mobility benchmark for healthy humans, so it may still be worth your time to learn!

hey if you're always trying to stand with straighter posture but end up slouching anyway when you get tired or forget try this stand like this with everything as flat to the wall as possible everything as flat as possible and try to maintain this as you slide your arms up and down your first time doing this you may feel like you have to arch your lower back for it to work resist this by tensing your abs keep everything as flat as possible if you struggle with this you can take a few steps out to make this easier try this 15 times in the morning and night and see how you feel and standing taller should come more naturally as you stretch the front of your body and strengthen the back have a beautiful day my friend

  1. Note: there are many possible causes for poor posture. For example, you may have some muscular imbalances that require more specific work to undo. Wall slides helped me, but may or may not help you. If possible, you're welcome to consult with a doctor or physical therapist to work with you on your posture.

However, learning to do this exercise with good form can work as a good mobility benchmark for healthy humans, so it may still be worth your time to learn!

  2. Ew this was really hard lol

  3. I stand firmly against wall with head to lower hip completely touching the wall but as soon as I start moving my arms up and down my lower back starts to get away from the wall. I can't help it. What do I do ?

  4. Its kinda hard to do when your behind is not flat (like mine)😅

  7. I found this exercise to be extremely difficult and I can’t get the correct posture even moving my feet away from the wall.. I believe I need to strengthen those muscles a lot

  10. This is hands down the best exercise for the upper back posture. Just 3 days of doing this morning and evening fixed the shitty posture I had my whole life. Ever since then I've been doing this every time I feel tension or slouching in my upper back and it helps immediately.

  11. Thanks but how do i touch the neck to the wall!

  12. Wow, that was harder than I would have thought! But after trying this just once, I can feel my back and shoulders have loosened up and feel good. I'll do this every day now. Thanks!

  13. Looks good – but my shoulders won't cooperate… Have anything more suitable for an oldie of 78 ? ❤

  14. This was honestly one of the most painful exercises I've ever done and I've tried plenty, but my upper back, traps, and shoulders in general are in the worst shape they've ever been, my arms couldn't even stay on the wall and flared out, had to do it on the floor as i usually stretch on the floor when my back is too painful, definitely helped 👌
Hopefully soon I'll be able to start going to the gym

  15. this is the hardest stretch ive ever done oh my god

  16. I have poor mobility on my right shoulder compared to the left and this has caused me posture problems, I do this exercise you explained here but I am unable to lift my shoulders.
