Midea heat pumps how to use the Midea controller as a room thermostat
this shows how to make your Midea controller into a room stat and use the second level of weather compensation.
okay in this video I’m going to show you how to take the media thermostat um from its normal setting that we see here so where we use an external thermostat and I’m going to show you how to change it so that the room temperature is shown here and it uses the center up here to control the heat pump so you have to go menu you have to scroll down to full service Man Press OK password is 2 then 3 then for press ok go down to room thermostat press OK you must do this first so go across from one zone and change this to not and press ok then press back and go to number five which is the temperatures out setting press OK and it says water flow temp we don’t want this anymore we want on no um and we want at room temperature yes okay and then go back back again go to yes press ok now notice that this here says 24 degrees so this is actually our room temperature so you probably set something like 21 um and off you go and of course now you can turn it on and off and you can see it going on and off with the controller so what this will do is first off use the weather compensation that you set up but then as it closes that’s closing in on this room temperature and it will reduce the water flow temperature to make the machine more efficient

Thanks… Well done and to The point. Do you have any showing a complete weather compensation setup? Much appreciated, thanks…
Thanks for your video! Is the operation of heat pump the same whet it works with separate room thermostat than with the remote control as a thermostat?
My air source does not turn on even though it says it is on.
Hi, Graham! I recently got 16kw monoblock installed at my home. It's a 2 storey house with about 250sqm of space. My system has 2 circ. pumps left over from the previous setup, and now an additional circ. pump running from the buffer tank. It's a heated floor system with no domestic hot water, so basically the buffer only stands between the pump and the floors. Now I'm running a weather compensation curve to keep about 23c around the house. The controller is currently not in my house so I'm only using it in water temperature/heating mode. Ambient temp. these days is around 0-4c, the house is warm and all, but the COP is not so good, 2.9 – 3.2 is the most I'm getting atm. I'm honestly not sure what settings could I change to get a better COP out of it. Could it have something to do with the 2 circ. pumps I have from my previous system? Nothing is controlling them atm they are just running 24/7. I'm also a bit confused with the SmartHome app to be honest.
Hi! Thank you for the video. If we do this, what will be the heating water temperature?
Hi, i can't find an extermal sensor for the outdoor temperature. There are many sensors possible, but not that one. How does the midea choose the right temperature? Or is this just not necessary with the setting you've shown here?
