– Hello hi everyone, welcome
to skin care with Hyram. If you don't know who
I am, my name is Hyram and I'm passionate about teaching you how to perfect your skin care routine. So make sure you subscribe to my channel and turn on notification bell, so that you can see my
videos every single week. All right boys, let's get talking. So in this video I'm
going to be leading you through the best men's skin care routine. All that you need, simple,
affordable, and effective and when I say men's skin care routine I do not mean the type
of routine that you see in men's skin care commercials. Check out the new 18 in 1
face wash from Bro Care, it's like skin care but for bros. For your face, hair and ass crack. (laughs) Somebody fire me please. So hi, if you don't know me my name is Hyram and I make
content about skincare, and before you click off, I know my content may
not seem like something you normally watch but hear me out, skin care is something that growing up I believe was something only for women. You know the fancy older woman that slathered $300
moisturizers on their face, Yeah, that's who I thought it was for. News flash bro, skin care is for everyone. Scientific studies have in fact shown that men have skin too,
I know, mind blowing. Everyone has skin and at some point we all struggle with skin issues. I know I struggle with a lot. Before I started getting in to skin care I knew probably click on this video because you're struggling with something. At first I wanna say, props to you for prioritizing your skin's health. Because that is so important, and trust, healthy glowing
skin is the ultimate flex. Like if your partner sees you
using a skin care routine, that's 10 points, that's the second date. Trust, as a homosexual man I've heard many conversations, boys and girls alike and they all say that a
man taking care of his skin makes them way hotter. So, trust me on this. I love to make skin care videos but I noticed that a lot
of my audience is women, and as I thought about it more I'm like, you know what I need to
make videos specifically targeted at men to spread the message that skin care is for everyone, that no one is excluded because you deserve to feel good in your skin. This is a skin care routine that's not gonna only be easy to use, but also get rid of some issues you may be having in your
skin like acne or breakouts, and a little help to prevent
a lot of long-term damage. Because you know it's an even bigger flex than having healthy skin, keeping that skin healthy long-term. Because we are prone to something called pre-mature skin aging
that something I've dealt with. When I was 18 years old I easily looked 5 years older than I actually was, and if I hadn't taken
care of my skin then, boy I'd be looking like your uncle Mike with a bottle of cologne
and smelly breath. It would not be pretty. I'm gonna be showing you all the steps and giving you product recommendations so that you can go out get your self a skin care routine and
start that shit know. So let's get into it. As I start into this I want
say don't feel pressured no one gets it perfect their first try, no one knows what the hell they're doing when they start a skin care routine and it's okay to feel like
kind of insecure about it. Like I definitely didn't want to when I started my skin care routine, and that insecurity will go away fast and anyone in your life
that's making you feel insecure about it, you need to
re-analyze that relationship. Cause, toxic. But if you do wanna make
this a little bit easier I have done a skin care 101 series where I tell you how to cleanse, how to moisturize,
exactly how to apply it, what to do and what to not do. So I'll have it linked down
the description box below, if you want to learn further, but let's just get into this routine. So the perfect skin care
routine has 4 steps, you don't need any more than 4 products in your skin care routine and I know that may seem surprising especially when you see people have drawers and drawers
of skin care products and all over their shelf. Which is definitely not me,
but what are you talking about. You only need four products to have a good effective skin care routine. You need a cleanser, a treatment, a moisturizer, and a sunscreen. So I'll go into each one those, telling you what they are and
what products I recommend. So first a face cleanser, your probably familiar
with a face cleanser but just in case you aren't, it's to get all the dirt
and shit out of your skin. You're skin everyday
accumulates a lot of dirt, a lot of sweat, a lot of bacteria and leaving it on your skin long term is one of the biggest
reason that you could be breaking out or just that
you'll have skin issues. A 3-in-1 body wash on
your face does not count. It's important to use a cleanser
in your skin care routine because if you don't use that, any product that you'll
apply on afterwards is not going to be
anywhere near as effective. Which means your money is essentially going down the drain and your kinda doing that work for nothing. Because the skin care products need to get deep into your skin and if your skin is
covered in layer of shit, oh no baby that's not gonna work. Some of my favorite cleansers are first the CeraVe
Foaming Face Cleanser. You're probably familiar with CeraVe it's gotten really popular, but I really like them
because they're affordable, they're easy to find at the store, they're not gonna irritate
or sensitize your skin and they have great ingredients. I like the foaming cleanser because a lot of times men do tend to produce more oil in their skin which means we tend to get a little bit oilier,
a little bit sweatier, and it's nice to have good cleanser that's gonna bulldoze through all of that. If you've already tried CeraVe and it doesn't really work for your skin, I recommend the La Roche-Posay
Toleriane Purifying Cleanser, This one's gonna have similar benefits to the CeraVe one, but
just in a little bit of a different formula
and a different experience but it does a good job of getting through all the oil and dirt on the skin without your skin feeling
really tight afterwards, like you know when you use
a body wash or a bar soap on your face and your face feels like (inhales exaggeratedly) You know that feeling? That's what we don't want, and then if you are someone who wants like a little bit upgraded product my personal favorite cleanser in the world that I cannot stop using, Is the Youth to the People Care
Kale and Green Tea Cleanser, I love this one because
every time I use it, I can feel all the dirt
coming out of my skin. My skin feels so much smoother afterwards but it never leaves my
skin feeling dry or tight. Any of these cleansers are
awesome they'll last a long time. As I into this video as well I want to say that all the products
I'm gonna be recommending in today's video are listed
in the description box below if you do wanna support me in my channel It would really help
if you use those links during your shopping because
I do make a small commission but no pressure as always. I never wanna pressure you guys they're only there if you need it. Step number 2 is treatment. Now what the hell does treatment mean, A treatment product is going to help get rid of any issue that you're currently struggling with in your skin. So if you are struggling with a breakout, with acne, with wrinkles,
dark spots, irritation, that's what a treatment
product is gonna take care of. Now there are so many treatment product and so many skin issue so it's hard for me to know like what exactly to recommend to you. For the majority of guys who I talk to who are just starting a skin
care routine are usually wanting to get rid of break out or acne, or wanting to make their skin
less shiny, oily and greasy and that's why I recommend exfoliation and before you get carried
away, I don't mean the scrub. Honestly a scrub is
best meant for the feet, take your St. Ives and use it on the feet. It does not belong on your face and also not the worse thing ever, okay maybe it's the worst
thing ever. (laughs) Just don't use it on the face. Chemical exfoliation really really helps with break outs and acne
and there is a specific ingredient called Salicylic Acid, that's what you wanna look for and it's in one of my
favorite exfoliating product, the Paula's Choice 2% BHA Solution. I know that sounds like mumbo jumbo and it's confusing but I promise you this product is incredible. The amount of people that I've seen go from full break out
to completely clear skin just from this product is insane and it's one of the reasons
I love recommending it because I can always rely on it. Salicylic Acid or BHA is going to go deep into your pores and push
out all the dead skin cells all the dirt and everything that could be clogging you pore and
leading to that break out. Another type of exfoliate is the Bliss Clear Genius Liquid Peel, I love this product because it includes different types of
ingredients that are gonna get rid of all the dead
skin cells on your face rather than Salicylic
Acid this has a blend so it can treat a bunch of issues. Now both of these products
are pretty intense so you want to make sure
you read the directions so your using them properly and don't cause any issues in your skin but if you're someone who
isn't really struggling necessarily with a break out or with acne and you're just kind of wanting something to help get rid of the
oiliness or the greasiness or just to help take care of your skin, I recommend the Versed Just
Breathe Clarifying Serum this is an awesome basic serum that you can find at Target. The single step in this skin care routine is gonna do wonders for you're skin and honestly probably
where you're gonna see the most difference. If you wanna learn more
about how to properly exfoliate your skin, you can go to video in
my description box below I made a whole video about it. Step number 3, a moisturizer and now most people have
heard about a moisturizer and you're probably thinking
a really heavy cream that you slather all over your face that makes you look super greasy and feel super heavy and
that's not enjoyable. I mean that's what I thought when first heard about moisturizers and I was not interested but that's not the only type
of moisturizer out there, there's a moisturizer
type called water creams. Water creams are amazing because they sink into the skin immediately, they feel like absolutely nothing like you don't even
notice that they're there and they help to make sure
that you don't get oily or greasy throughout the day. So many guys I've talked to have shared that they've tried a moisturizer and they hated how it felt on the skin because it was just way to heavy and every time I introduce
them to water creams they're instantly obsessed and
they love using moisturizer but why even use a moisturizer
in the first place? Our body is mostly made up of water and our skin is the seal
to help keep that water in and it's important that
our skin has that water to be able to help take care of itself but we go through a
process called water loss where we loose water through
the surface of our skin so moisturizer helps to make sure that we're sealing in our skin even more to make sure we don't lose that water and by properly using a moisturizer you're gonna see a dramatic reduction and the problems I was just talking about like break outs, acne, aging, but it's also gonna make the skin feel so soft and that's probably the first you're gonna notice is that your instantly gonna feel how soft your skin is and
it's gonna feel great. Some of the one I recommend are the Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Cream this is become one my favorites because it's very lightweight but it's still is hydrating, so your skin isn't gonna feel dry. It's a Korean moisturizer
that has amazing ingredients and it's really affordable in comparison to a lot
of water creams out there so I highly recommend it. If you're wanting something
even in the drug store, I recommend the Versed Dew
Point Moisturizing Gel-Cream, this one packs a little bit more hydration but still feels just
lightweight like a water cream and it feels great on the skin, and then if you are one those people who does have a little bit more dry skins or you're looking for actual moisture, I recommend the Youth to the
People Adaptogen Moisture Cream this one is more of an investment but I promise you, so many
guys I know loved this product and once they start using
it they get hooked on it. It's nice because it is very moisturizing but it feels super lightweight and does not leave a
greasy feeling on the skin, and then the final step, Sunscreen. I know you may want to tune this out but listen up bitch, this
is the most important part. Sunscreen is the most important of this skin care routine because all of those problems that you were experiencing in your skin are just gonna be made 10
times worse by the sun, and trust I've heard every excuse. I want to get tan, I hate
how sun screen feels, it's super heavy, it
makes my skin super white. I get it, sun screen can suck but the recommendations
I have are actually really really good, and we'll totally set a new standard of sunscreen for you. Now that whiteness you
experience with sunscreen when you go the beach when you apply that thick white sludge
that doesn't go away, that's called a white cast
and not every sunscreen has a white cast. One of my recommend is the
Sun Bum Mineral Tinted SPF. Now this one does have
little bit of coloring but it's not make up. I promise, the only
reason the tint is there is to make sure it matches your skin so it doesn't look as white. This one is really nice
because when you apply unto your skin, it's like this, how do you describe it, it feels like this smooth air on your skin it makes your skin feel super soft and it applies really nicely, and another one you can
find at the drug store is the Versed Guards Up SPF 35 this one's a little bit more expensive but a really good sunscreen
that also has a little bit of a tint but I have liked this one just because it doesn't feel heavy and it doesn't leave that white paste and then finally if you want a sunscreen that has absolutely zero
white cast whatsoever try the Krave Beauty Beet Shield it's an online brand that is amazing one of my favorite brands of all time and I promise you're gonna be shocked the first time you use it because it really does not
even feel like a sunscreen it doesn't look like a sunscreen it goes on completely clear and if you are someone who
has a darker skin tone, I highly recommend checking this one out. If you are oily, it can sometimes look a little bit shiny on the skin but honestly, if you're
wanting a sunscreen that doesn't feel like a sunscreen this is the best one to go with, And they your go, you
have a skin care routine. That's all it took. See it wasn't so bad. Like I said before, please
don't feel intimidated you don't have to start
all of these at once. If I were to recommend you
starting with one product, start with the sunscreen, cause that's the most important one and it's gonna do most for your skin but what ever you start with feel free to take it one step at a time there is no shame in starting out slow. But I hope you guys enjoyed this, like I said if you do want to purchase any of the products that I talked about there all listed in the
description box below. I am more than happy to
make more videos about it because more men need to know about the importance of
taking care of your skin, and yeah, if you haven't already be sure to subscribe in my channel and turn on the notification bell so that you can see my
videos every single week and I'll see you guys in the next one.

Great video. Question: Do you think this routine will work to control head acne?
You look and kinda talk like Telle from Kids
thanks for the tips! Men should definitely take care of their skin too
thanks for the tips! Men should definitely take care of their skin too
❤ thank you for this. My husband and I are in our 30s my husband has sensitive redhead skin. I'm getting him a skin care set for his Christmas stocking. I'm really new to skin care myself. I've been genetically blessed, I'm 35, and i'm only just noticing fine lines. I know i'm bad because I should have been caring for my skin long before now, but i'm just a grubby farm gal, I've honestly never thought of it till now. But now I need an education, and this video has been great start!
Please explain why just water is not adequate for cleansing
none of these r sold in walmart
But when to use what products, like after face wash do we need to apply all the products or one at a time 😢
Do you need to use a sunscreen (spf) moisturiser if you live in Ireland with no sun?
What is your view on Spectro Gel my man?
I know NOTHING about skin care but this video was great. Approaching 40 so gotta get serious
Super useful for someone unaware of the routine.
Made my start pretty smooth, thanks a bunch for that.
When you explain it, that awkard feeling shows up.
The Tigergras-Traubenkernöl-Tagescreme is a fantastic anti-aging solution for maintaining youthful skin.
I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
Strait man here for skincare
Damn. TIL I have skin.
Hyram, where do you put the shaving routine? like, do you use cera v (cleanser), followed by pre shaving oil, then shaving, then post shaving balm, then moisturiser? followed by the rest.
You’re awesome!! Thank you 🙏🏼💯
Omg I work at Shoppers drug mart , and a man came in telling me he needed something to remove the dirt off his face because he was told that his body wash was not a good thing, and I had just seen this video this morning !…i recommended cera ve foam CLEANSER lol but it was very expensive and even generic is expensive …lrp is too expensive then i remembered you said the versed line was good they dont have the oily skin cleanser any more but a new blue one it was on sale for $11 ! He thanked me for it he said this is a dumb question but how do you use it. ? He worked in construction was wearing his construction attire
Saw this video about two years ago and started my skincare routine. I came back today to try come of recommendation. Thanks man !!
"Men have skin too"
Me: shocked Pikachu
I also like Paula’s Choice BHA
Yeah well done mate
The worse thing I did was start getting into skin care. Now I'm always looking at my face and realized how ugly I am lol….did I always look tired and wrinkled? I'm 33 and now freaking out lol
Very relaxing video!
How often would you use Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Exfoliant?
Thank u vroo❤
I know this video is old, however I have a question, should you wash off the moisteriser to apply sunscreen?
Just started to listening and subscribing to your videos
I work in a retail store for skincare and rarely have male customers, which I never understood. Men can take care of their skin too!! Introduced my bf to your videos and Jiranium which has fragrance free options!
I want some of that bro stuff sounds great
Too much talking for a video for men
So nicely explained ✨
I lmaoed hard at the studies that show that men have skin too
I dont know if you still see these comments but i have a short full beard do i just apply these products on the beard?
Exactly what i wanted…simple, straightforward and easy to understand
Bro's tryna tell me i have skin??
I’ve come back to this video a few times. I regularly purchase a few of your recommendations now.
Hey Hyram. Thank you for all the great content. I’m 48, so can you recommend anything to reduce wrinkles like around the eyes? Thanks!
I'm a dude and never really thought about stuff like this. It's good to take care of yourself. Appreciate the video man!
