Pathways to Prevention: Strategies to Address Cancer Disparities in Cultural Groups in MN
April Wilhelm, MD, MPH, and Serena Xiong, PhD, MPH, distinguished health equity researchers from the Program for Health Disparities Research at the University of Minnesota Medical School, joined the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement for a Fireside Chat in recognition of National Cancer Prevention Month. During the chat, they highlighted cancer disparities in Minnesota and discussed innovative research approaches and community initiatives designed to tackle these disparities in Minnesota's diverse cultural groups. Additionally, they discussed tobacco prevention strategies tailored for immigrant populations and showcased local resources dedicated to cancer prevention.
