hey there April yes next here with my M Michael hi in time for St Patrick's Day we have a quick and fun lucky walking workout for you today yes we've got the Luck of the Irish with us all right okay so here's what it looks like we're going to do eight no repeat walking rounds okay 30C intervals with 20 seconds of rest okay now you can do this one seated with my mom or standing with me and there no equipment is needed however if you want to pick up some lightweights challenge yourself feel free and make sure that you have water aailable stay hydrated and clear the area right all right sounds good how does that sound mom sounds good we got to get ready for the parade all right that's right we got to get ready to March it out okay so we'll take a pause here and get started hey Mom want to have a seat sure thank you let's warm it up everyone get started on our parade get ready for our parade today huh yeah all right hope it's a nice day yes hope it's a nice day where you are it's always a nice day indoors right yeah oh that's true so regardless of the weather hopefully it's a nice day where you are all right March it out give me some really good posture ears shoulders hips knees even ankles in alignment okay and sit tall all right nice work all right as we're moving here just want to give a shout out to Laura and West Richland Washington who suggested this workout said hey it'd be a great idea to to do a fun little St Patrick's Day walk for friends in assisted living communities I'm like assisted living communities and I said yes that's it's a wonderful idea all right so thank you Laura for that wonderful idea and whether you're at home or with friends in assist in assisted living community or anywhere you know have a great time and let us know how it goes you want to send us a photo do that too we'd love to see it all right okay nice work step it out everybody so thank you Laura for that great suggestion hope that you are all having a fun time Wherever You Are mhm and you know St Patrick's Day is always a festive right holiday keep looking for that pot of gold it's out there that's right that's right is that where are you walking to today that's what I'm going for I'm walking for that partt of go oh really no hot dog today I can no I could buy a lot of hot dogs that's right good thought Mom you are really thinking ahead you got it I'm very impressed all this work for nothing heck no got to walk you're so smart I know I'm I'm very lucky step it back everybody have such a smart mom thinking ahead okay stepping back everybody good yeah wake up up wake up those legs we are going to be doing some walking today getting our heart rates up getting steps in yes right it's a lucky walk that's a lucky walk that's right we feel very lucky mom sure says lucky too if you can see see it there yep she feels lucky and we are lucky to be able to help you keep moving so we are so grateful all right nice work okay let's just open it up the chest here open and close open and close very nice and let's do some reaches the side to the side to the side and side very nice on good work on this warmup we will now take a pause and get started with our St Patrick's Day walk okay so our first move is just marching we're getting ready to go on the parade route okay yep all right very good breathe it out you know I know there's parades all across the country you know we're from Chicago and uh St Patrick's say a very big holiday in Chicago right they turn the river green and it's always a always a big event MH all right so March it out okay let's get our steps in here really nice keep it going breathe it out are you feeling lucky today yeah I hope so yeah going to get that pot of gold I got the four leaf clover yes fourleaf clovers that's right what else there's all kinds of things that people use for good luck okay March it out you can even March it around okay there's a 2 second rest here okay so ramp it down you can take a little sip of water I didn't take water before so I'm going to take a sip of water here well I'll wait till all right let me show you the the next move next move is just a little Skip it's like a little kick in Double Arms okay okay just like that and we are on for 30 seconds here okay let's get in the spirit yeah you know you feeling like a leprechaun I probably look like a leprechaun I got my short arms my short legs you just need a little hat I just need a hat that's right to of the morning to you yeah absolutely I'm I'll sink with you here you go and and rest nice work okay good work everybody breathe it out okay now just go at your own pace okay you don't have to go fast you need to go slower that's great that's all right now we just going to kick it back next mom you're going to step it back right and you can do just kind of big arms here okay so you're going to step it back like this or you're going to do some hamstring curls with me okay get those arms moving all right okay yeahoo and getting your heart rate up uhhuh this feels really good yeah everything turns green on St Patrick's Day y get the corn beef cabbage oh yeah that's right yeah I love that that's right it's very good actually you used to make that uhhuh you haven't made that in a long time a long time Maring out now that we talk about it a long where did you get that recipe from huh where did you get that recipe from oh I don't know a long time ago I think mom did Mom make it I'm not sure we had a lot of Irish friends living on the south side of Chicago sou okay here here's the next move everybody all these are claps so step forward inside okay so step tap forward forward and side and side good forward forward side inside good getting ready to be on the parade route cheering everybody on got to get those legs moving that's right we're getting the arms getting everything moving here right and side and side good keep it going looking good breathe it out and you just go at your own pace every okay slow it down you can stab whatever and March it out nice work yeah okay breathe everybody breathing are you breathing don't forget to breathe don't forget to breathe and don't forget to drink water yeah don't stop breathing keep breathing okay all right we did the heel touches y we're do some heel touches forward okay okay with the arms both arms go forward okay forward good breathe yes heel digs really getting that those feet in contact with the floor it's so so good for not only your muscles but for your bones too everybody really kind of gets everything moving gets your blood flowing your circulation nice gentle low impact moves for your joints as well yeah so keep it going breathe it out looking good like these nice 30 second round and March it out okay good work breathe yeah yes keep moving keep moving what else is see St Patrick say he got the four leaf clovers yeah Green Green okay next move we're just I want you to stomp okay okay just stop just like big SS yes breathe it out good keep big going yes got the arms going got the legs it's like get high knees right yeah but it's also coordination my favorite word yes coordination breathe and breathe and March it out okay good joboo yes I always remember like yeah four leaf clovers green cookies mhm Anything Green Anything Green right people used to dress up and something green that's right I love that I got like on Valentine's Day too okay this move four repeaters knee up knee up knee up knee up they're four repeaters up side you sideways up and up you can just go forward I'm just showing sideways so people can see it okay so up that's fine up up and up right really engaging that core yeah to do this got to get that leg up yeah yeah give me one more one more in this side Four 3 two and one very nice everyone all right this is a quick walk yeah I'm walking it around all right can you believe we're in our last round already yay I can't believe it so good work on staying with it everyone so proud of you okay here's where what we're doing we're going to do rainbow arms with a step out okay opposite arms and legs rainbow arms because we want to find that pot of gold right everyone that's right it's there I can feel it that's right so we got that rainbow breathe it out yeah oh yeah good job she'll probably feel nice stretching the whole upper body good job few more seconds okay you coordinating I can see your I can't see all right congratulations I'm getting to the end of the rainbow in that pot of gold everybody that's right good job all right nice work let's cool it down okay all right nice and slow okay good job okay I want you to do some open cloes with the arms nice and gentle breathe it out nice work Wonderful okay we started with those reaches let's reach it out again okay good get some this is some amazing upper and lower body work yeah in this very quick and lucky St Patrick's Day walk yay so good job everyone all right really nice okay give me that nice little stretch so heel down toe up Reach leg o I felt a nice little click in my hip always like this stretch breathe okay and come on down let's do the other side okay heel down toe up oh yes breathe good job and come up gently give me some nice little hip circles you can do that in a chair as well okay just loosen that up okay and other way good job all right shoulder rolls back just a little bit here good good and reverse it nice work everybody and give me three inhale and exhales and we're out he so inhale up and exhale out good inhale up exhale out nice and one more inhale up and exhale out very nice great work on OMG that hat tho! Ha! (Am I the only one that checks to see what kind of pillows are in each video? It's so fun to see what colors will be in the next one.) Thank you ladies! Needed a gentle short one today as my years of foot injury and neuropathy are keeping me from dong much footweight bearing the last few days, and the videos that look short but then send me to a warmup first are confusing to my noggin :D. This video gets my award for being the most entertaining versatile fun short video, which is such a wonderful psychologically uplifting combination for times when the body can't do much. At those times, when we are too ill to get out and about at all, we especially need to feel we can finish something that challenges but does not injure us and that entertains and makes us feel like part of something. Thank you <3
